    Another great job on some iron rangers. The pair you did for me are still getting regular wear on the construction site and casually.

    Is the point of the leather heel base for comfort or looks? you mentioned it wasn't necessary, you could put the heel right in the outsole. If I want all black soles with no contrast, what is the best option? I don't think iron rangers have a middle out of the box. So if I wanted to add one could it be black? I don't want a mix of colors on my sole/heel. Thank you .

    Those nails looked they could have really hurt.
    Nice rebuild… gave the boots a whole new life.

    Any videos of the iron rangers in a honey or lighter brown sole? I see your work on Reddit. Do you take mail in orders?

    Personally id definitely have a cobble put a mid sole on when have mine done. But iron rangers come from factory with no mid sole. Just saying

    • @Ebrleathercraft
      @Ebrleathercraft  Год назад

      That’s because the sole they put on is stitched down to the welt. The 100 sole isn’t. That’s why it needs a midsole

    Red Wings offers a resole service. The owner should have sent them back to the factory.

      Do you not support local cobblers?

    • @chinatownboy3368
      @chinatownboy3368 Год назад

      @@Ebrleathercraft Yes. My local guy does my sole protectors, and every shoe which doesn't have a factory recraft program. My Tony Lamas. 1000 Mile Boots. Rocky uniform boots, Clark's dessert boots, etc. Caveat being that he is also an economy cobbler. His work is usually cut off and/or sand down most of the worn sole, then glue on a new piece. He's not deconstructing and recrafting. I'm okay with that. $100 worth of work on shoes that cost less than $200.

    • @Ebrleathercraft
      @Ebrleathercraft  Год назад

      Well, if he did more, why wouldn’t you have him do that as well? And his work is quality…

      @chinatownboy3368 Год назад

      @@Ebrleathercraft My cobbler doesn't do more. He does not recraft. Rewelt. Rebuild. All that he does is glue on a piece of rubber to the bottom of an old shoe. Which is okay to patch up cheap shoes. For better made shoes, I prefer more than a rubber patch.

    • @Ebrleathercraft
      @Ebrleathercraft  Год назад

      That's why I said if he did. "If" he did recrafts and quality work, why would you still send them away to the factory instead of having him do it?
