Indeeed :/
I know right?? They had a perfectly good actor who has not only shaped the character from the very beginning, but is also already proficient with a sword (having trained in order to portray colonel Tavington or Hook), resembles the character physically a great deal and, oh yeah, SAID HE'D LOVE TO REPRISE THE ROLE IN LIVE ACTION IF GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY.

Grand Inquisitor was my favorite force sensitive villain in Rebels. Clever and calculating. I like the fact he only spins his lightsaber to scare the enemy, it's more psychological. His fighting style reminds me of Dooku's because it's elegant and precise.

I feel the Grand inquisitor is a well written villain and looked down upon by many for really no reason, despite him only being an inquisitor he proved time and time again how his skills and battle tactics were on a whole other level than the other inquisitors
Yeah, they should have given him a title that differentiated him from other inquisitors to show that he was above them. Maybe something that showed his status at the same time? 🤔

Jason Isaacs voice for the Grand Inquisitor has that subtly deep bass that makes him menacing. Something that I was awfully missing in the Obi-Wan Kenobi's Grand Inquisitor.
It’s not even the design in kenobi it’s his goddamn voice 😭
I agree 100%. I love having the same voice actors from the animated series play their action character. Rupert Friend actually isn’t that bad, I think he’s quite good. But the only thing that’s missing is the voice of Jason Isaacs

He really stole every scene he was in for me. So much more enjoyable and threatening than the other pair of Inquisitors
In rebels, the Grand Inquisitor was this long faced, eerie, terrifying, and cunning presence. Simon Kinberg (producer for Rebels) describes the inquisitor: "He felt real and human, yet also a little creaturely and terrifying and like he could be part of a nightmare"
I don't get any of that from this round, baby faced inquisitor with face paint. I find absolutely nothing intimidating about the character whatsoever.
When the grand inquisitor first showed up in rebels, you thought "oh shit the rebels are in trouble". In Obi-Wan, this dude walked in and I laughed when I saw his face
