    I’m wanting to work on making some of these for some family members who a quite a bit bigger in the shoulders and the trunk area. What would be the starting chain for an XL and a XXL?

    • @2LOOPZcrochet
      @2LOOPZcrochet  11 месяцев назад +1

      Hi! The pattern is very easy adjustable to any size. All you need to know is the circumference of the neck (loosely) of the person you are making the sweater for. If the person can't fit the work during the process you can also write down the length you need to reach the armpit and the total length you need for the sweater and the sleeves. With these numbers you can make the sweater. Or measure a wellfitting shirt or sweater, that's also a good option. Hope this helps. Let me know if you need help.

    I thank you for your wonderful effort, but I did not understand the decrease in the sleeve stitches. Is the decrease around the entire circumference of the sleeve or only in the first four stitches? Please clarify and thank you

    • @2LOOPZcrochet
      @2LOOPZcrochet  2 года назад +1

      Hi Lobna. You decrease in every 4th round of the sleeves, no decreases in round 1, 2 and 3. Repeat this every 4th round. You decrease by making 2 hhdc2tog, 1 on each side of the sleeve (for example on top of the sleeve and under the arm). Try to make the decreases every decrease round in a different place, so for example on top of the sleeve and under the arm and the next decrease round at the front and the back of the arm. Hope this helps!

    Hi thank you for this tutorial. I would really like to give it a go. Haven't done a big project before. I tried the herringbone stitch as a sample but mine came out ribbed not flat like yours. Do you know what I'm doing wrong? I'm sure you said to just to go through the back loop? 😁 thanks

    • @2LOOPZcrochet
      @2LOOPZcrochet  3 года назад +1

      Hi, thank you and good that you ask. You insert your hook in the whole stitch, front and back loop. It is almost the same as the normal half double crochet, only in this case you yarn over, insert your hook into the stitch and pull up a loop, you have 3 loops on your hook. Pull the first loop through the second, as if you make a slip stitch. Yarn over and pull through the last two loops on your hook. Hope this helps. Enjoy crocheting!!

    I'm just starting with the body part...😁 How do you know what is the inside of the jumper and what's the outside? It's not like knitting where there's a seam. Does it matter, maybe both are the same?

    • @2LOOPZcrochet
      @2LOOPZcrochet  2 года назад +1

      Both sides are the same because you turn your work after every row/round. You can choose which side you like better before you make the borders.

    I’m planning on making this sweater, but I was wondering. I use a different yarn (Scheepjes Colour Crafter) as I couldn’t get Bernat. I prefer the look of the stitch/yarn using a 3,5mm hook rather than the 4mm. Would the pattern still work the same or would I need to alter it? Because in that case I’ll just go with the 4 🙈

    • @2LOOPZcrochet
      @2LOOPZcrochet  3 года назад

      Hi Susan, I guess you can follow the pattern using a 3.5 mm., you only make more rows and rounds because of the smaller hook. It is important you have the calculations right. You start bij chaining up the length you need for your size, if you use a different yarn and a smaller hook then your chain will be longer but that is not a problem. Work with that number and you should be fine. Keep in mind that you might need a bit more yarn. Hope this helps, enjoy crocheting!!

    I just finished everything, its wonderfull, but the hood looks like a cone :(

    • @2LOOPZcrochet
      @2LOOPZcrochet  3 года назад +1

      Hi Dana. Mine also looks a bit like a cone. I don't mind because I don't really wear the hood. If you don't like this you can solve it by joining the last 3 stitches on each side (where the point is formed) when closing the cap so that you round the point. An even easier way is to fold the tip inwards and secure it. Hopefully this works for you and you can be very happy with the whole result!
