Where do you buy your colognes since you mentioned never buy from amazon
I dont care how the bottle or the box looks , i buy them for the scent
There ya go
Buy dupes at that point
@@AlexLopez-ey2puthen scent will differ if it so happens to be fake
@@G00N-420 that’s what a dupe is
I think he is comparing these things to let you know the difference between a tester and a retail fragrance, and despite them they are the same !?
There’s something in me that makes me feel that maybe companies make tester qualities better so that it gives you a good impression and makes you wanna buy the fragrance.. it’s such a dumb inexperienced take but I’ve been thinking about it a lot lol
Dont worry, i used to think that as well. It would make sense but after buying both, i can assure that it's just in our heads. But that would be nice 😅
Exactly my thought.
Fr, it smells better when I test it on the store
@@babycow5894honestly I feel like that's cause the bottle has been open for a bit. I usually am not a fan of most frags until they been open a while and come back to em , maybe just me 😂
That would probably be illegal
Tester is the way to go. If you could tolerate not having a cap.
Yes absolutely. And great thing places like fragrancebuy tell you if it comes with a cap
who cares about a damn cap
A lot of people 😁
@@GraveyardGod6 sometimes the cap completes the look. My Guess Night tester came with no cap, but the bottle isn't a flat square but has a design to it, the cap follows that design and completes the look. No cap makes it look goofy.
Never seen a tester without a cap, but sometimes the cap is cheaper than the regular one. Just a detail
Testers are given to sellers when they make a bulk purchase, for some it is 1 tester for 4 commercial bottles and for some it is 1 tester for 6 bottles etc
Discounters are buying them up like hot cakes
I got a tester of Kajal Lamar. Full presentation retails for $210. Tester was $81. Came with cap.
Wow thats a very good savings
Website to buy?
Wow 🤩 lucky you
where you bought
Testers are many times older formulations, retailers got 10 testers from first batch, so IT Takes sometimes 2-3 years to empty them, so you smell older formulation from tester but buy current boxed batch which is 2-3 times reformulated/watered down.
Not the popular perfumes, those go by quick in weeks or maybe days
Testers do perform similar with the retails, and it worthed although not always "cheap", i have some of it.. in fact, i've found many vials didn't perform, just showing how it smells
They are the same thing though
@@ChadSecrets Yeah some people way overthink when it comes to fragrances lol
I have maybe 5 testers in my perfume collection and they do smell like originals 😊 never regretted buying them
They are the originals 😁
Were do you get them
@
Search for reputable perfume retailers. They usually have those . Or you can ask them to get them for you.
I got a free sample of YSL Y a few years ago and it smelt amazing. The full bottle I bought smells nowhere near as good. I also got a free sample of bois imperial by essential parfums which made me purchase a full bottle. Once again, doesn’t smell as good. Is it just our olfactory senses change with mood and environment? Different batches? Reformulations? Who knows! 😂
I think a lot of modern designer fragrances these days are really watered down. I’ve currently been buying a lot of Aaron Terence Hughes stuff and they are some of the best smelling/performing frags I’ve ever used.
A lot of it could be to the fragrances maturation. I have noticed this as well with my sample of gucci guilty elixir. My bottle smells different 😅
I have had the same exact experience with YSL! it was bugging me out as when I went into the fragrance shop to actually try the real one out it did not smell as good and I was thinking to myself if I asked to smell the wrong one ha
I was just asking myself this question. I have a couple of testers and I couldn't tell the difference. Glad I went with the tester.
The tester is the way to go!
Testers are the way to go for niche. I got my Naxos tester for $145 😊
They absolutely are, and that is an amazing price. Wow!
where?
Does it come full ?
@@marcolopez342 yea
USD?
480$ bottle of creed is 280 on there just with no cap! Not too baddddd👏🏼👏🏼
Wow. An informative video that’s straight to the point. Thank you for being part of the very few good creators on shorts.
I appreciate those kind words a lot thank you. I try my best!
Perfume factories don't sell them! For every 20 or 40 or whatever, 1 tester is for free. That's why retailers don't sell testers because people need to try them first, while online sellers can sell them as people can't try them. I worked for Notino and i know how testers are working. Notino is now forbiden to sell them for some reason.
I didn't trust much buying testers before but i had few good experience. They smell the same as the original.
Whoever said all heroes wear capes is a liar
I need to start wearing a cape!
😂😂😂
Testers are pretty cool especially with the different box style. Also no cap is not a problem especially if you already have one that fit.
Thats true!
How's life been going?@@ChadSecrets
This is mad helpful, thanks!
Glad it helped! Thanks for watching
Holts Renfrews always gracious with the newest latest samples and the service is incredible!
that “hack” is a game changer. For something almost stupid, price drops considerably
I heard that the "better" batches of handmade fragrances are sent as testers, intended to be more appealing to customers trying them.
Idk i have seen batch codes same on testers and normal bottles. Maybe some brands but unlikely as it would be a huge increase in cost for the brand
I got some 1 ml tester for free and they did smell a lot better than the one from the store
Maybe the one in store went bad
Smelling from the store vs home is way different especially if you’re a man
I have been gardening for a fragrance saleswoman since I was a teenager. My girlfriend and I both have enough bottles of cologne and perfume to start our own store. Every few months she would give me two bags of testers. One with cologne for me and one full of women's perfume for my girlfriend. I don't think I'll ever have to buy cologne again.
Thks for dry ageing the meat for us.
I got the tom ford oud wood for 35$. Smells the same and lasts as much as the original.
for real, i found full sized chanel mademoiselle tester for fraction of original price. i got lucky because the seller said it will likely not have the cap, but mine did. i went to the store to compare and the scent is very longlasting. since then, i buy testers when i can.
I have no problem buying testers as long as the price difference justifies it. For ibstance, if the price is only three or four dollars different but the tester doesn't have a cap, I'll probably buy the retail.
I agree completely
I got a tester of Versace man eau Fraiche and it had the notes of fragrance written on the back. I thought that was really cool in my opinion
Yeah i do see them do that sometimes!
I literally buy them at any opportunity.
i got a mancera red tobacco 4oz tester bottle for only like 80-90 bucks retail is like 190 its the way to go
Absolutely it is!
But dose it containing a full amount, like 100ml or 200ml (Depends on the bottle)?
They are not used
Testers mostly smell better and stay longer (experience)
It's the same juice between the two
That is because perfume usually get more intense when opened for a while. If you buy new spray and leave a few weeks, you get that same result. You skip the waiting with testers that's why it seems they're better right from when you buy
Where do I get testers?Because I’m looking for a trustworthy site in Europe and I still haven’t found anything!!
Sorry i am not sure about in Europe
Good to know. Thanks
I have only been disappointed in a tester once. It wasn't a fragrance issue, but if you have a headless teddy bear, that stands out a bit. 😂
Oh geez, the beheaded bear is not a good look haha
Moschino Toy Boy?
I had half of my scents this way back when even buying a fragrance was a huge investment lol
The only thing that annoys me about testers is the no cap, all the rest im absolutely fine with. Note breakdowns on the back , no biggie , can be helpful 😎
Yea i agree. But only some come without caps and i like how fragrancebuy tells you if it comes with a cap 👌
@@ChadSecrets definitely appreciate the sites or sellers that say no cap.
Hey the only thing I’m worried about is it not lasting as long because a tester, has anybody ordered ? Is this an issue 😅
They will last the same amount. It's the same juice so dont worry
Tester batches and consumer batches are the same..all go through the same exact process but are separated just for bottle modification..suggesting that the juice inside is different than the product on the shelf is just false
@@randallECTRIC I agree!
When ever i put the testers on the smell is long lasting. When I buy that fragrance, it doesn’t last long.
Wait…. sometimes they don’t use the same batches for testers and regular retail? Does that mean that it could be made from inferior, possibly rejected batches? I’m a little confused.
Thought testers were made from the exact same batch but just used for testers🤷🏻♂️
I just mean sometimes i find the same batches. They are always made from same batches
My Azzaro TMWI tester arrive with NO CAP. But idc as long as the juice is the same. 😅
Yeah azzaro doesnt like guving caps unfortunately
Sometimes the testers will just have a small plastic cap protecting the sprayer.
You said they smell exactly the same and SOMETIMES they EVEN use the same stuff they use to make regular batches. Sometimes? What is it the other times?
I think i was referring to that sometimes i found same batches as original bottles on the batch code
True 👌🏻
It takes away the fun of unboxing a new fragrance you just bought
Yeah but id rather save money in the end
If anything they would want to make the testers smell better
That is true 👌
I have heard testers have much less concentration of perfume than the commercial? Is it true
It's 100% false info 🙏
@@ChadSecrets thank you
I bought a tester and it was rancid. Waste of money and frankly I’m not playing roulette for a 15% discount. When a fragrance is left in the sun (on display) or the cap is off and it oxidizes, it will affect the scent, so saying that it won’t affect the scent is not true at all. You might get some that are taken good care of but you chance that you won’t.
Why would you buy a used tester from the store? Thats not what im talking about here 😅
Buy them from disounters!
@@ChadSecrets I got it from a discounter, ordered it through mail. Discounters get them from stores. Luckily it was cheap, I spent I think 25 bucks on it, but it was still 25 dollars wasted. And I know it went rancid because I had a decent sample. Also the discounter I got it from is very reputable, ordered over a thousand dollars worth of fragrances from them in the past and never had any issues.
Fragrance discounters do not buy from stores. Did you listen to my video?
@@ChadSecrets”do testers smell the same, yes they absolutely do”, but they didn’t in my case. They are SUPPOSED to smell the same but don’t always, which is what is implied. Do you know what happens to a fragrance that is in a storage without a cap? There’s a reason why fragrances come with caps it’s not an ornament. So yes you are playing roulette. Maybe you will get good ones 9 out of ten times, but it sucks when you get that 1 out of 10. I sure you didn’t mean it ALWAYS smells the same right?
@soakedbearrd You realize fragrances dont start evaporating until they have been atomized right? That's why the first couple sprays are weaker. I have 300 plus bottles. A majority are testers and never once had this problem.
Are the bottles full, or have they been used?
They are un used
I purchase tester bottles all the time and there is absolutely no difference in the fragrance at all.
Yeah thats true!
Some of my most expensive scents came as testers. Many with the cap. Nishane MANA and Kilian Sacred Wood are two examples.
Worked in a makeup and purfume store for a year, 7 years later still have sealed testers, full bottles and you name it free, from the job, damaged packaging couldn't be sold, better just take it home after writing it off then XD
Depends on the discount for me 5-10$ and worth it, I get the real thing
unfortunately, having a fragrance in my collection missing it’s cap would bother me to no ends. i’d personally rather spend the extra 10-15 to make sure i don’t end up regretting not having a cap on one of my fave fragrances. but for fragrances that don’t include a cap, absolutely worth it!
I completely agree with you. I need that dang cap!
Yes absolutely, I gotta also have the cap. It’s definitely worth the few extra dollars to make sure it comes with one
I used to buy testers all the time. There is nothing wrong with the juice. But since I started collecting, I buy the normal bottles for the full presentation.
does it still come with the full amount of product inside?
@@Riddle555 yes its new
I just go to macys and when no one is looking i find a fragrance i want and put it into those small 2oz travel bottles
Thats not weeb like behavior my guy. 👎
@ChadSecrets but I'm broke
Wow we can buy tester to save money so the juice is still the same?
Yes juice is 100% the same
Where can I physically go to buy a tester?
Physically? Probably nowhere
Do the bottles come completely full ? Or do they come “tested “
Full bottles
@@ChadSecrets wow. I always assumed they were already sitting at the counter and people have used it.
@marcolopez342 not the case. Its the fragrance the companies sell to the retailer to use as a tester. Not used at all 👌
Hi Chad, I'm expanding my fragrance collection and need advice. Should I buy multiple affordable fragrances or invest in one high-quality scent? Here are my options:
ysl y EDP
Exit the King
Profondo
Prada L'Homme
Considering the price, is the performance worth it? And already own Dylan blue. Which do you recommend? Thanks!
I would suggest go for Y le parfum over edp. Better smelling and performance is as good if not better. Prada l’homme smells great too but has around 6 hours of performance. Test before buying profondo, many don’t like the salty marine notes
You have your versatile daily driver Dylan Blue. So now i would say YSL Y EDP may be a good choice for that playful flirtatious attention grabber for situations you would want that in
The testers are not bought by the store. The fragrance maker gives them to the store that's why on the testers it says "not for sale" so the store who sells them makes a 100% profit on them.
Testers are ordered by the store from a distributor. Discounters are the ones buying them
Not for sale is for the consumers 😂 everything is for sale 🤣
@@AlexLopez-ey2pu not in this case. I know for a fact because I know a manager of a big perfume store and the testers are 100% free for the store owners because they have to use it to let customers test it in the store. The testers have no falue for them so when an online shop sells them then they make 100% profit
@@azkuhl8171 yes, you get testers free but how ? You have to buy a shit ton of real perfumes and in the process you get testers so tell me was it really free? Pdm testers with a big ass laser print in the back is proof pdm doesn’t want you to buy testers
I once bought a Versace Eros tester that came with a box and its performance was supremely garbage. Literally couldn't even last 2 minutes.
You are going noseblind
Brought a shitload of testers at grand bazaar in Istanbul 🔥🔥🔥
I don’t know about how identical with the normal bottles but what I’ve noticed buyin 2 testers one was Prada L’homme intense and silvadore faragamo Uomo intense the performance was trash, and those 2 flankers are known to be a good performers sooooo I never bought testers again
Its the same as the normal bottle
@@ChadSecrets I have them I’m pretty sure they both different in terms of performance!
Do testers without a cap macerate or have different smell/performance than a regular fragrance?
If they do its very minimally if they are stored correct
where can you buy testers?
I thought i said in videi but if not fragrancebuy and jomashop have them
Are they full bottles like new?
@@tc5691 yes
Had you ever had issues with packages being split up from the same order from jomah? If so, did you receive all of them? And how long did the full order take to get received?
I have heard that happened to people years ago. I dont really hear about any recent issues like that. And no, it's never happened to me personally
@ChadSecrets mine always get split up. But I am ordering $500-1k at a time though. But I do pay for next day early morning shipping and always happens. Customer service just gives my npc replies and bunk discount codes💁♂️🤷♂️ but hey atleast their stuff is dirt cheap and authentic. Never questioned authenticity once from them and have been ordering heavily lately
is it still full and unused?
@@juandelacruz8414 yes!
there are fake testers and it really smells identical..these came from og perfumes but it is diluted
I live in Kenya
I want this YSL Y intense tester
I'm getting it for $40
I really wanna try but I'm skeptical
As there are so many fakes
Like how the heck would I know when I go to test I won't know if it's been diluted

I believe all do ship there. I live in Canada so i am not sure about fees. Go through the checkout process without paying and it will show you!
I couldn’t care any less. I’m wearing the scent not the bottle. I buy testers all the time. No one ever told me I smell less good cuz of a tester bottle
i was going to buy a tester but i heard that the fragrance could potentially evaporated or become weak without the cap overtime, is this true?
If stored correctly, it won't be much of a concern. If you order from fragrancebuy they say if the tester comes with cap or not 👌
I have seen 8 year old 1 million bottled still smelling amazing, even better tham todays formulations. So yes like he said as long as you store them well they last

Where to buy them in Ireland/UK/Europe??
Im not too sure. I only recommend places i actually but from sorry
I was told exclusively by my partner that "Cologne is the fuckboy attractant. I like the way YOU smell, and the scent is overpowering that."
So, keep that in mind. I literally threw away all my burberry cologne and its been so much nicer. Also there is a youtuber who goes over scents and how they work with memory. There is often a particular scent that will make someone think of you.
If thats the way YOU smell and not some bullshit in a bottle, then you win.
Simple as. Enjoy your weird scents.
The prices are still crazy expensive
I mean, that's subjective. If you are paying for designer brands you can't expect them to be cheap 🤷♂️
Idc if the tester saves me 2 dollars I'll always get testers if it's an option
