    As a Liverpool fan in the 2 seasons we lost out by 1 pt to City we done everything we possibly could, City were even 2nil down on the last day and still won it. You have to be almost perfect to take the title away from City these days. Arsenal haven't bottled anything, they have been fantastic since the turn of the year. I actually thought they could go and win the Champions League and finish 2nd like we did in 2019 but that didn't work out. But even if Arsenal do finish the season in 2nd place their fans should be proud of the football they have played. They are great to watch and have pushed City all the way. Let's hope a few more teams challenge City next season.

    • @paulk8888
      @paulk8888 6 месяцев назад +5

      Yes as they knew they could beat City this season. So I thought over two legs they'd go through and then in a final you never know what can happen. To say Arteta is a rookie isn't really fair on him either. He has worked with some of the greatest managers of all time and was assistant to Pep in the Champions League campaigns from 2016-2019. I'm sure he picked up some experience along the way. You're experiences this season no matter how it ends will stand you in good sted going forward under Arteta. Best of luck for the remainder of the season.

If we win the last 2 games against United and Everton and city win their games, there’s not much more we can do. Yeah we will be thinking of that Villa game but not all results go your way. Muscle injuries also comes easier when you are late into a situation and are holding back. That's why Bruno never get's muscle injuries. He always goes in at 100% and are most often first into situations. It does'nt explain all muscle injuries in the squad but at least many of them. The physiological reason is that a player that hesitates in a challenge pulls the muscle both in the direction of the challenge and the opposite way at the same time. The muscle both extend and contract which creates an enourmous amount of tension on the muscles. Therefore it's a largely psycologial issue. Players hesitate, they are'nt fully commited to the situation or they are a split second to late. They are reacting instead of acting in a way. This comes down to intent, believe, confidence, concentration and also ability to read the game and forsee what is going to happen and position yourself and your body in the right way. The player that goes in with the most amount of power and intent in a physical situation of any sort, will mostly win the situation and will most often don't get ia muscle injury. Bruno is an example of that. Bailly for example is one of the exeptions to that rule that shows that there are other factors to it as well.
    Beeing "injury prone" is both a physiological thing and a psyclogial thing and the both can be prevented to a certain extent.

      1. Not necessarily. They need pace and inevitability in the forward line, whether that be a winger or striker. Martinelli is their only speedster up front. For inevitability, City have KDB and Halaand, Liverpool have Salah. Inevitable players that score when the team isnt playing well.
      2. They also need a midfielder, whether it's a 6 or 8 or hybrid like Rice. Theyre being linked with Guimares. They need Saliba cover, again being linked with Diomande.
      3. Yes, they have the experience now and there are obvious deficiencies in the team that should be addressed in the transfer window to see them improve further.

      @@alzer6467 1. Replace Nketiah with a proven pacey striker. Jesus is too injury prone but thats fine if he's a sub type plater. Happy with other options up there, personally I think Nelson doesn't get good enough chances to play from the bench, Saka needs to be rested more yet Arteta insists on only rotating Trossard and Martinelli.
      2. Hopefully Partey and Jorginho stay on for one more year but they (plus Elneny) are all over 30 so another CM/CDM is needed. Lokonga is on loan but not sure he will progress to that required level (he's the type of player Wenger would have stuck with though). ESR and Vieira have had injury and fitness issues this season, hoping they have a good injury free stretch next year, theyre decent back ups. Cedric is leaving so numbers wise defence starting to look a bit low, Timber will be like a new signing, slots in at LB, maybe Zinchenko gets molded into a CM type like Jorginho while Tomi is a solid back up across the whole back line. I also like Kiwiors progression this season, decent back up (better than the days we had Holding or Sokratis anyway). Ramsdale will surely leave, so do we have 2 academy GKs battle it out for back up position or do we get an actual back up. 2 or 3 good attacking academy players coming through so be interesting to see if theyre given an opportunity next season.
      3. They have certainly matured and can go again for the title next season, though City still have the best squad overall. Basically they will need to merge the start of 22-23 season with this end of 23-24 season and they'd just be able to do it. Anyone who thinks any other club are closer than Arsenal to challenge City next season needs to give their head a wobble.

    Arsenal should be expected to win that game. Yes, they don't win at Old Trafford very often but you have to acknowledge form. Man Utd have won 1/7 in the league and that win was against the worst team in the league. All the bookies have Arsenal as heavy favourites. Arsenal getting their 14th league tittle, Man getting their 14 fa cup. Its gonna be a shocking season for city losing all trophies after being predicted as favorite in all.
