Loved this one Tony, as I know many of the spots you visit. Keep going back Tony to your special place and reflect on the love you and your beautiful wife enjoyed together. Dont worry about what others think of your beliefs or feel embarrassed this is your truth and. maybe all our truths. Keep the great content coming. Michael.
Thanks Michael, I appreciate your comments as I've much more to say than just photography. I'm glad you understand that this is my truth. Best wishes to you
Would you be interested in supplying one of your best landscape images at 4K resolution and I'll show it in a future video? I thought it'd be good to showcase some of my subscribers work?
Everything about this video is beautiful. Thanks!

What a beautiful tribute to your wife. I know just how you feel.

Great video Tony, and very touching towards the end, lovely words and thoughts 👍
Thank you Nigel, much appreciated. It's hard to do videos just about photography as I feel I have so much more to share about life!
I found it difficult to watch the first part with you on the cliff edge!🫣 Lovely photos of the foreground pinks and your tribute to beautiful Sue.💖💜
Yes I'm glad my Mum hasn't seen it, quite risky on that edge. Thanks Jess!
Thanks Tony lovely tribute, and I can add no more.

Lovely video, beautiful area for sure and I really like your style, this is the first video I have seen from you and looking forward to many more.
Sorry you lost your wife and soulmate, most be tough going through, especially in the beginning.
But to hear you talk about her in such way, it is obvious that you had a wonderful life together and that’s something special, as our good memories will keep our spirits up and helps us on the road forward until one day we meet again.
Keep up the good work 👍🏻
Thank you so much for your compassionate reply Gryph. It seems harder now than two years ago, I really miss her. But life goes on, and I'm happy that you liked my video!
Hi Tony,
Another excellent video. My wife and I walked the coastal path there last year on a visit from Australia. I have so many great memories of the Cornwall coast. Watching this reminded me of the many photo opportunities I had to walk past, as we were hiking the coast and had destinations to reach each night. I would love to come back one day with more time to pause and photograph. It is a beautiful location.
I’m think it’s lovely that you can talk about your wife and share your feelings for her.
Thanks for sharing.
Peter
That must've been a great walk last year Peter. Frustrating to walk past good photos though! Thanks for your comments; I wasn't sure if leaving the part about my wife in was a good idea, but I'm glad I did=.
That was lovely to watch and quite touching. I very rarely get inspiration when re-visiting a photo location, however great it was the first time around. But aside from the scenery here, of course your personal circumstances are very different to mine. I think you would get great value out of Olympus micro four thirds cameras because the image stabilisation is outstanding and focus stacking can be done automatically and internally by the camera from beginning to end, incredibly fast incidentally. And you can always reset the aspect ratio. Anyway, excellent technique, imagery and organisation. For me, two tripods is two steps too far though!
Thank you Michael, I really appreciate your comments. My Sony does have auto-focus stacking and it works well, and I wouldn't like to lose more pixels by setting the aspect ratio on an Olympus. If anything, I'd probably get an APS-C if I get too old to carry around my full-frame and two tripods! Hopefully not for a while yet 😅
Great video Tony. What a stunner of a day on the coast! The manual, handheld focus stack came out better than I thought it would.
Thank you, yes the weather's been great recently. I was also surprised by that handheld shot!
yet again another very informative video Tony. I love your attitude to life we must meet up sometime as I'm sure we have a lot in common.
Yes Mark, if you’re ever in Truro come around for a cup of tea.
@@tonyhowellcouk will do
Another great video, Tony thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing Tony, lovely images interesting compositions, ideas and very thought provoking,
Many thanks Malcolm; much appreciated!
Your wife was a very beautiful lady as are the sentiments you expressed. Oh and the photography was lovely as well!
Thank you Deborah, yes I was most fortunate to have been with her for 20 years. Glad you liked the photos!

@@tonyhowellcouk not too sure what 4k resolution is but otherwise yes
Thank you Deborah, please crop it to 4K (3840x2160px) or ensure that it's 3840pixels or larger longest side, send as a Jpeg (Quality 8) to tony@tonyhowell.co.uk or via wetransfer.com (free service that you may have to sign up for). If you need any help to do this please ask! I'll put a copyright notice on it before publishing.
🙂👍
Thank you Raimo, much appreciated.
Great guide Tony. Don't you use the stacking feature on the RV?
Thanks Jon. I haven't tried it hand-held, and doing sea pinks they move too much in the breezes so I prefer manual. I do use the auto in woodland or when not much is moving.
@@tonyhowellcouk Thank you. I went today after getting inspiration from you film and spent 4 hours waiting for the mist to clear which it never did 🤣
@@tonyhowellcouk Have you made a guide on how to take and edited manual focus stack yet please?
@@jonspoard8416 Darned rotten luck Jon!
@@jonspoard8416 Yes, try this one Jon - ruclips.net/video/XtzPBNqVs6M/видео.html
Sorry for your loss, and hopefully you find some solace in your photography. May I ask a technical question? Do you stack the images in photoshop, or do you use layer masks and "paint" in the relevant in-focus areas manually? Thanks.
Thank you very much Mark. I do find solace in photography and talking freely in my videos. My method is shown in this video - ruclips.net/video/XtzPBNqVs6M/видео.html - I know you're supposed to use Layer Masks, but I got so used to doing it well manually (in the days before Layer Masks) that I don't use them! Best wishes, Tony
@@tonyhowellcouk Thanks Tony. Just had a look. Yes, that's kind of what I meant by using layer masks. Much like you might do an exposure blend. Love your Velvia images in that video! I use a Mamiya 645 for film, along with a Fujifilm X-T5 for digital. (Subbed by the way).
@@TarrelScot Thanks Mark! Do you have a rangefinder or SLR Mamiya 645?
@@tonyhowellcouk SLR with waist-level finder, 80mm f/2.8 and 45mm f/2.8.
@@TarrelScot Very nice, but a bit heavy for me now I'm used to a lightweight backpack!
