VG is very consistent for the last 10 years.
I used to think VG was the most inhumanly bad faith debator imaginable, but watching him argue with Destiny has me realizing he just literally doesn't understand that people he disagrees with have their own rationalizations for their beliefs. He straight thinks the people who disagree with him are evil and all their arguments are just excuses for their visceral drive to be evil.
He needs to articulate his positions better. Especially when asked about the origins of conservative hatred. I'm sure he's a very well-read on this issue but was nevertheless ineffective in communicating his position.

It's when Adin Ross and Hasan were threatening to sue each other, and VG came in strongly arguing that the laws were clear on the matter, but everyone else including an actual lawyer in the call were saying that it doesn't have clear legal precedent. VG does his usual shit yet is the first one to break down out of frustration at 57:20, but the whole video is worth watching.

Also, her saying "please don't be rude to me" after he is quite reasonably annoyed that she just interrupted him just comes off as trolling tbh. Again, not sure if intentional but jesus christ have some self awareness.
I genuinely don't know if she was trolling with the piano but assuming not, if you're engaging in good faith you shouldn't start focusing on something else like piano. I feel the same way about Destiny playing video games sometimes. I know he isn't really focusing on the game but sometimes you'll see his focus switch back to the game and he will miss a point someone is trying to make because of it. It's a better policy to mitigate distractions so you can focus.

This shows they don't actually want more people to join their cult, it's not about bringing any good to the world, it's only about feeling like they're part of a special club. When they're especially hostile, like vegans, that means they're actively trying to discourage more people from joining their cult. The more people are vegans, the less special it is. And that's the entire point. They just want to feel like they're better than everyone else. If they actually cared about making the world a better place, they wouldn't be such insufferable douche bags about it, they would be friendly, and present themselves with an attractive attitude, more like how moderate christians tend to be.

It's fascinating to me how Destiny and his community can do and talk about complicated subjects so casually. It's such a stark contrast from the circles I've been in that it puts things into perspective. Really sad how the people I used to hang around still to this day think that they know it all, when in reality there's a whole world out there for them to explore.

Nick already has a platform and is already reaching people who think like him. Saying Destiny is platforming Nick is basically implying that there are people in Destinys community who either havent heard of Nick or havent heard of views like his and that Nick is capable of swaying those people more so than Destiny is and to completely 180 their views to Nicks side.
Destiny talks with and debates these types because he believes that his community is secure enough to not be swayed by them and believes he can sway at least some in their communities by showing flaws in their arguments and thinking.

Bruh, I don’t like Vegan Gainz, but Zheanna was horrible. She came in to ask a question, asked the question, but continued to talk. Then, asked another question, and went to talk more. Thats when Vegan Gainz finally interrupted and said you don’t need to keep going when she already asked two questions. She needs to learn to ask a question, then let them respond. Destiny did this several times throughout this same convo. Its not hard.

Without Destinys way, I would still be trying to be a conservative. And I’m sure I’m not the only one I’m sure there are thousands of us that caught something destiny said, and saw the fact that he wanted to understand us that made us turn from conservatism.
I'm very religious and conservative, and recently started listening to Destiny. I disagree with him on a lot but I also appreciate that he understands where people like me are coming from and seems to always argue in good faith. It's so refreshing, I turned all that red pill shit off.
I'm not a conservative, but I think I had drifted a bit too far into the Jordan Peterson, Dave Rubin, Shapiro side of things. Finding Destiny did help me get back from there.
I wouldn’t say that it has turned me from conservatism because the left wing establishment is currently still trying to heavily limit our right to bear arms and also trying to limit our right to speech. Those are the two hills I’m willing to die on and until the left stops trying to limit those two id be willing to turn from the right
Not a rightie, I'm a center type so Destiny is probably my limit on lefties, because atleast he somewhat hooks himself to 'Lets not wrap ourselves in the hug blanket and run around saying we know everything the opposition believes is just because they are evil scum'
I'm sure I've said "I wouldn't go that far to say X, They probably have extra strings on some of that." when Destiny talks about conservatives. But atleast he's not VG saying "They are hateful." And that's all he needs to know he's on the 'right side of the war'.
I’m a Christian and now apolitical, but I think Destiny has a way of speaking to the nuances of these decisions. I am not leftist but I now have more understanding of the left’s side without the crazy of progressiveness.
