People don’t give Ethan enough credit, he did a fantastic job here. Even if Pearl was super easy, he clearly did research and came prepared, and then executed on that research.

I think Ethan's "casual" style of debate makes Pearl look completely unhinged and ridiculous (which she is). How she completely crumbles with the slightest, gentlest, push back is hilarious to watch.
Yup, the gentleness is deliberate. You have to remember these loonies would see eloquence and clear points as proof of desperation.
Pearl is the personification of every single aspect of the Redpill dogma. In other words, she is the type of women they want to turn all women into. She is not smart at all, not well informed, not well spoken, has no opinions of her own and It's only good at repeating talking points. You think she looked bad here? I've seen her in Timcast and IT WAS PAINFUL, never seem someone so empty of knowledge or purpose in my life. The only thing she can do to justify her existance is to offer her platform to some really nasty and dishonest guys to bully other women even dumber than her, and she looks really happy doing so.
I'm sorry, but If there's one thing I cannot stand in a woman is being superficial and "unwise" (for the alck of a better word). Being unable to have a rational conversation about any topic is a huge red flag in a woman for me, you can be the hottest girl in the fucking world but If you cannot make a simple argument about an issue or even express the most simple opinion I will not even consider have anything with you. Hell, depending on how dumb the girl is I wouldn't even consider having sex with her, I absolutelly DESPISE stupidity to that extent.
In conclusion, Pearl Davis is an NPC, and that's what the Redpill will do to a woman, turn her into a worthless "yes woman" that will serve her overlords while they are sleeping with other girls since apparently loyalty and honor are nonexistant in their movement and women should be ok with that.

honestly I think one of Ethans biggest strengths when having these casual debates is his ability to stay completely calm. I think he's relatively well prepared and him staying calm while he makes his points and counters slowly breaks people down and makes them come off as crazier and crazier
Yeah, that part is always a W, if he loses it makes him seem ignorant but when he WINS, holy shit, the other person looks CRAZY.
He was not very calm during the Oli London debate though. I have to critisize how much he interrupted and talked over Oli because Oli wasn't the s-h-i-t show that Ethan was expecting....he's ask Oli a question and then interrupt him less than 2 sentences into his answer. Usually Ethan is good at this but he dropped the ball on the Oli episode. His fan base is full of liberal extremists so they'll hate you for pointing out that Ethan was being rude as an interviewer by not allowing the guest to actually answer a question.
@approximateknowledge5577 I think we had very different interpretations of that debate lol. I didn't think Ethan did a bad job at all. Ollie was trying to get through alot of talking points in a rush and it came off as him trying to overwhelm. I'm glad Ethan decided it was best to stop Ollie sometimes to adress what he was saying because a lot of the time, it was easily disproveable stuff.

It's weird too, she must know that Ethan's definitely spoken to a more diverse crowd than she has. It's evident in his ability to stay on point and press an issue for more clarity. I don't even like Ethan, but Pearl makes him look masterful.
But Pearl is just woefully underprepared for most of her interviews. Like when he asked about her stance on the pay gap and she cited women not doing the dangerous jobs. So she's got a stance, but has never done any research. That's all I needed. She could have at least cited pay differences due to parental leave or athletes pulling less money, but no she chooses a stupid answer that isn't even true.

For example there are jobs to repair electrical lines that hang a couple thousand feet above the ground in mountain ranges. These jobs literally pay like $40k per gig because they're so dangerous. But on the flipside, working in a plumber's job where you could be in sewage with rotten water (extremely toxic just to be around), only pays slightly more than your average trade.
I don't think it's for fragile egos, and I do think it has validity, simply not enough validity to be appropriate for the dialogue. It should be more about how to make the jobs safer, not that we should throw women into the mix to make it equal.

Your mistake here was assuming she meant ALL rapists, she probably meant that only female rapists deserve to die, and that male rapists were just desperate, or misunderstood or something, and that as a result they should of course get rehabilitation
People with these mindsets only consider rape to be the kinds committed by strangers against women with good, wholesome reputations, and only if it involves getting brutally beaten during the attack, and only if the woman goes directly to the police afterwards, and only if the guy who did it was poor or brown skinned. If any of these qualifiers are not met, they don’t think the woman was raped, and instead think she should be sentenced to prison for falsely reporting.

I've wondered this myself and the only answer I've managed to land on is that she's a grifter and doesn't truly believe any of the nonsense she spouts. As a person who spent his entire childhood in a dysfunctional family with parents who hated each other, but stayed together "for the kids" I can say that I resent my parents for that choice. They are both happier and kinder people now that they've seperated, but growing up around that negativity ABSOLUTELY negatively impacted me and my siblings as much of not more than had they divorced sooner.

Divorce is banned in my country and it didn't really prevent married couples from separation. Basically they would break up and live separately like typical divorcee people but in the eyes of the law they're still married. Some of the cons of no divorce law is one party could sue the other if they started dating other people and they can't remarry but usually people still have wedding ceremonies without the legal paper. Her thinking banning divorce will prevent couples from breaking up is a pipe dream.
Marriage rates are dropping fast and picking up speed as it is.
Divorce used to be illegal and marriage was far more common than it is today.

Ye and based of a average income they only pay below £400 per child...the guys she's talking about know it's harder to raise a child than to send money... most guys won't pursue court action based on their lack of care as it costs less to pay the court fees than pay for child benefits over 18 years.

It seemed on the debate that her full stance is: in a perfect world, divorce is illegal, but a man who isn’t married can knock somebody up and opt out of child support. I’m not sure that she ever clarified she was against men being allowed to abandon their families financially.

To make it fair, she’s saying that men should also be able to choose whether or not they want to support that child because the only say they have in the matter is whether or not they have sex and whether or not they wear a condom. It’s literally up to the woman after that. They don’t even get a decision after that. They can’t force her to get an abortion, they can’t force her to have the baby, if they don’t know about it and she gives it to the fire department then not only is he not able to take care of the child, but the woman is given the opportunity to not have to support the child while he isn’t afforded that same opportunity of choice. If we’re giving women carte blanche to do whatever they want to do at any point in their pregnancy and even after, then it doesn’t make sense to continue forcing men to foot the bill if they don’t want to. It’s only giving one “side” the freedom of choice. The only option after that is basically just to not have sex and that’s always met with it being an unreasonable ask whenever it comes to saying the same to women. I think it’s unreasonable in both cases. People are going to have sex. Abortion should be an option (with the limitations of Roe V. Wade) and men should have the option to “financially abort”.
Final point addressing her “perfect world”. She was basing it off of the framework we have now and then she made a separate point that she doesn’t believe in abortion or divorce. It’s separate talking points/world views or prescriptions about what should probably happen given different circumstances and framework to work with.
The sad thing is that even Pearl getting absolutely destroyed here will not change her fans minds. They dont care if she makes good well thought out arguments, they just want to hear her shit on women.

She feels like the world is a certain way, then she gets people on her podcast that basically agree with her without ever challenging her thus enforcing her feelings. And then afterwards, she sometimes looks up the actual stats that agree with her just to feel even more right in her beliefs.

I think it’s funny that people like her think that getting divorced is this simple process and people can just go file paperwork if their spouse leaves the cap off of the toothpaste. Divorce is a huge financial burden, time consuming and emotionally taxing. Maybe a woman like her would see child support as an incentive and more money in the bank but actual human beings see it as the means to take care of their children when they’ve spent a lot of time in the home not building their career and bank account.

Women have the choice to be on birth control and if they want to terminate the pregnancy, men have the choice to use condoms and if they want to be in that child's life should she wish to keep it.
