    Great video! One thing to add: You shouldn't ever cross zero with a teaser. No team should ever go from favorite to dog in a teaser. You're paying to get to 0. Obviously a Wong Teaser wouldn't even be eligible to do that but the only reason I bring this up is because your Broncos and Packers example did this. Math on this is great!

      Absolutely teasing through or across zero is a no no. Ill have to re-watch the video because I cant imagine I used an example of teasing through zero, I hope I didnt lol

    This was the best explanation of teasers out there ! I use this strategy but never took the high point total thing into consideration and its a great point - higher scoring more variance.

    Hi thanks for your help. It is wise to place 3 team 6 6- 7 point teasers were you get the vig. Instead of laying it. Thanks again

    • @livedoglefty4995
      @livedoglefty4995  2 года назад

      3 Teams is the most I’ll do, anymore your edge diminishes. It’s still okay to play 3 team teasers 6, 6.5 or 7 at plus money and also 3 team teasers at 9 or 10 points but if you are playing 3 team teasers with 10 points don’t lay more than -125 it’s not worth it mathematically

    Great vid and info! So far in '21, the Wong Teasers have also been profitable. It's my first year playing them, and I've come across a situation where I'm just a little unsure on how to proceed.
    This past week, NFL week 7, there were 4 games that fit that criteria, Denver +7.5, Green Bay -2, Miami +8.5, and Philadelphia +8. Since there are 4 teams, would I just play 2 two-team teasers, and just guess which teams should be in each teaser? Or, do I take all 4 teams, and do a round-robin teaser with them?
    Philadelphia lost, so either way it's played, it was a break-even week (minus vig), but what would you do when you have a weekend card that has more than 2 teams that fit the criteria?
    Thanks for any assistance. Wong's book doesn't actually mention what/how to proceed when there are multiple teams that fit the criteria.

      Great question Robert and I can only tell you what I’ve found that works for me. It’s rare to have 4 or more teams that fit the teaser strategy in a given week. When those weeks pop up I do try to take advantage of them by playing them all. There are times when I will attempt to narrow it down to my 2 favorite plays but the idea is to take advantage of these opportunities when they present themselves.
      How you pair them up is subjective but I usually try to use external factors and this could just be your feel or instincts but more importantly just remember if you are following the teaser rules correctly it doesn’t matter who you pair it with. I would stay away from round robins or playing more than 2 or 3 team teasers because mathematically it diminishes your edge.
      Hope that helps, make sure to follow my main channel @BettingNetwork has a lot more content

    For 6 point i can get -120 for 2 and +150 for 3 but a push is a tie. I can also get 6.5 for -130 for 2 and 135 for 3 but again a push is a tie not a loss. Is this still worth it even though the price is not ideal?

    • @livedoglefty4995
      @livedoglefty4995  2 года назад

      This is common for most books now as theyre wising up to the teaser edges. Try finding as many books as possible, may be able to find better prices

    • @livedoglefty4995

      I wouldn't, the CFB scoring is much different and the key numbers are less key for a lack of better terms

    A lot of people just regurgitate what they hear without taking a pause to think about it.
    I get 7 1/2 to 8 1/2 moving downwards BUT 1 1/2 TO 2 1/2 dog adding 6 points ??? THINK ABOUT IT
    YOU are passing 7 and 8 ( two key numbers ) on the way up BUT you do the same think with
    a dog of 3 Which is Not included in the theory without a good explanation of why.

    • @livedoglefty4995
      @livedoglefty4995  Год назад

      Funny way of asking a question, I didnt invent teasers so of course Im "regurgitating" what Ive read and learned but Ive been involved ins sports betting for over 20yrs and only do these videos to help inexperienced sports bettors avoid tricks and traps by the sports books.To answer your question its simple math (Implied Odds & True Odds). The value in teasers is very thin, in order to actually overcome the house edge you must optimize every point you get in a 6pt teaser, If you tease +3 to +9 you arent improving your expected value as much as teasing +1.5, +2 or +2.5, because 9 is considered a dead number or uncommon margin of victory. A team that is +3 is less likely to win the game than a team that is +2.5, +2 or +1.5, by teasing the +3 to +9 is giving you the same implied probability as teasing a team from +2 to +8 but the thing is that team that is +2 has a higher implied probability to win the game. You can figure out the math for yourself by converting odds to implied odds, there are tons of odds calculators online. +3 = 40% Implied Odds, +2 = 47%, Teasing them both up to +8 and +9 will result in very similar implied odds but the difference is the +2 has a 47% chance to win, where the true odds for +3 to +9 is 40%
