    The most reliable bike I have ever owned. I had mine since 2012 and no issues at all. I know a few people with over 120K km.

    Just came from a 20 09SP to an old FZ8, it handles way better than the MT09 did. Much better balanced bike imo, was going to get the latest 21 09SP but I am just keeping the FZ now , and a lot more of my money!

    Nice review! Must be local to me. 🙂 I've been eyeing FZ8s lately as a possible next bike, we will see.

      Thank you. Yeah I like the older FZs. They’ve been dropping in price now that the newer models are out. They’re great bikes for the money and very comfortable to ride for a commuter and corner carver.

    • @The717Outlaw
      @The717Outlaw  4 года назад

      Vincent Chin definitely nice bikes for the price. I fell in love with the ride position after coming from a dirtbike background. It’s just a dirtbike with a lot more motor.

    Bought mine in 2013 right as the Fz09 was coming out and crashed its price. 7800 bucks new. One hell of a bike performance to price factor. Like i said, the Fz09 killed its value so secondhand theyre super cheap. get the Arrow header, open up the airbox and get a high flow Sprint Dacron filter, Denso iridium plugs and a power commander V... and you will be very pleased.

      What kind of bike are you looking for? Like cruiser, sport, etc?

  • @markmarthandan5478
    @markmarthandan5478 5 лет назад

    Very detailed review. Planning to get one of this. FZ6 tad too racy for me. I need a comfortable cruiser at 80mph. Does the engine stress out for constant 80mph on freeway

    • @The717Outlaw
      @The717Outlaw  5 лет назад

      mark marthandan to tell you the truth none of the highways here are that fast but it seems pretty good at 65-70. Then again a simple mod to help with this is a sprocket change. If you run a different ratio it can help keep the rpms down for high speed cruising.

    • @guillermocisneros1177
      @guillermocisneros1177 2 года назад

      I can tell you from my experience with mine. it does comfortable above 80 no problem.

    Hi I was wondering if you had recommendations for a new rider? What kind of bike should I look into? I do want a fast bike, something I can grow into and get into the bike community. I wanted to get a 400hp+ car, but just so expensive.

    • @The717Outlaw
      @The717Outlaw  3 года назад

      I would honestly recommend the FZ8 or FZ09 or if you’re looking for something newer the MT09 from yamaha. They’re all very rider friendly and have a standard seating position to its very easy to control and the power is great for beginners and expert riders.

    How is it for a taller Rider? , im 6'5" i have ridden a Kawasaki 450 from 2015 as you mention dirt bikes, and i had no problem at all with its size

    • @The717Outlaw
      @The717Outlaw  3 года назад

      I’m 6’ and it felt pretty good. Wasn’t too scrunched up on the pegs or hunched over to get the bars. That was with adjusted rear sets as well. My buddy that owns it has them set for him he’s a little shorter than me.

    Is this a bike you would recommend for a beginner to grow into or would a fz6R be better

    • @The717Outlaw
      @The717Outlaw  3 года назад

      Honestly the FZ8 would be a great starter. It rides smooth. Easy to control and the 800 is a motor that you can grow into and honestly not outgrow. I’m 6’ 270 and it’s plenty to get around and have some serious fun.

    • @The717Outlaw

      Yes, very smooth power and agile bike. Really is a dirtbike with a bigger motor.

    The inline four on the FZ 08 will absolutely smoke the triple on the MT 09 wiki the top speeds on both bikes then eat my dust

    • @The717Outlaw
      @The717Outlaw  4 года назад +1

      I can believe it for sure. I’ve ridden both and they’re so quick. Just depends on price for both and some of the newer tech.
