This is incredible guys! I love clocks, but don’t have enough wall space for the Aero Clock, so now my dreams of building a clock made by UGears can finally come true!
It‘s 2:30 AM and I just finished the Tower. Loading the Spring was scary but the video scanned with the QR code really helped me. Tomorrow I will assemble the Tourbillon but I need to buy sandpaper first. I have sanded every cog and every piece just a bit, so it’s a bit smoother to touch and the cogs can run better. I really can’t wait until it’s finished, I haven’t been this exited since I was a kid.
Thank you for finally giving us a proper metal spring instead of rubber bands. I'd even pay more if you offered this kit with a larger spring so it'd run for a day or two instead of just 3 hours. Give me metal axles and bearings too, also willing to pay more for that.
Hi, thank you for sharing your feedback. Plywood has its strength limits, so the larger spring wouldn't work well, but we are working in this direction to create even more interesting models.
This is an ingenious design, and very well executed! I did have to take the tourbillon apart and clean some things up before it would run reliable, but it is running well now. My only problem now is the hour wheel doesn't rotate by one hour, but sometimes by two hours!

There is a lever that drags on a large cam on the inside part of the hour wheel. I had to file down the cam at the point where it had to much drag from the lever. It was smooth after that.

Hi Eric, Please, check that there are no burrs between the teeth of the gears. Wax all gears with paraffin, especially anchor gears #124 and 125. Check attention marks of parts #127 and 130 (page #42). You need to develop the sphere for at least 10 min (pages #55 and 56). Also, check that all the parts of the tourbillon are pressed tightly together. Develop each part of the model manually. It’s definitely a very awesome looking clock and I’m sure if built correctly it will function perfectly. However, the problem I have is that it will only run for 2 to 3 hours at best. What’s the point of winding the clock up, setting the time then letting it run for those couple of hours. So it seems that only when you want to “play” with it you wind it and watch it for a little bit. At least your Aero wall clock can go around 12 hours, which is what I am thinking of buying. I love this one, but at $80 to $90 for a 2-3 hour run time is too expensive.

I am having trouble reseating the Tourbillon. It doesn't want to turn in the direction the instructions specify. I'm not sure what I'm missing. Is there a video showing how to do this?

I cannot express just how terrible this model is. It's missing the fundamental basics of a watch escapement, like the safety roller and the banking pins, which is why the pallet frequently falls out of place and the escapement stops. The jump hour also just doesn't work at all, as the little lever on step 3 of page 5 is too long to drop down to the tooth below. Even after filing this lever down, the jump hour works slightly better but gets stuck between the hours.

Hi, please check the assembly of part #130 and the anchor wheel. Recheck assembly stages on pages #49, 52, and 54, and if you correctly installed metal washers in the tourbillon. Try aligning gear #171 (page #61) so that it runs squarely in the center of the holes in part #105. Carefully sand down parts #127 and 147. Then, parts will move more freely. Hi how did you get it to run I have been having issues trying to get the ball to spin once I install it and wind it up the ball won't turn

Is it modelling after a real triaxial Tourbillon?
