@@juliobenavides241 Evo's Spanish often sounds mumbled and sloppy to me as an American. Is this because he is Indigenous? Most Bolivians speak a very pure Spanish that is very easy for me to understand, but not Evo. He almost sounds Mexican to me at times. I mostly agree with you because I think he is narcissistic, stubborn, and divisive.

Thank you for choosing to take the time and funds to report a story in Bolivia. As you've probably noticed, our country is so underdeveloped that it hardly ever gets much representation in online mainstream media, so it's really helpful to at least get some stories out there to the general public's eye. Maybe with time we can hope for a brighter future in our country's development, but for now all we can ask for is improving awareness.

    • @shanemeyer7989

Bolivia is perhaps the most criminally underdeveloped country I can think of. It has been robbed blind from the outside and within for its entire modern history.

how i miss my country...but there are two sides to every story... bolivia throughout its existence has struggled with political corruption, falsely appointed dictators and huge scandals..once the richest country due to its natural resources is now the poorest in south america...the struggle between the classes of the people has left the country divided for years..evo morales has supported the poor farmers, which is good, but has neglected the poor people from the oriental side of bolivia which further divided the already existing struggle..we are far from reaching a solution, one can only hope.

      Can you imagine?
This is double standard christianity, which The Lord hates.
Lack of faith in God is a sin too.
You don't believe the creator of those minerals to protect you down there, but can only protect you up there.
Let's not put God in a box.We should keep our faith in him strongly.
Yes it is true that the devil controls those things down there ,and he's going to fight you but ,yes he's always in costant fight with the children of God but,Jesus said with faith as little as the mustard seed you can say to this mountain move and it will move.
Faith abandoned or neglected is fear tolerated as said by Jesse Duplantis.
      Faith is the thing.

I think they’ve got bigger concerns than whether they’re sinners or not, or where a god may or may not protect them.
Working in this mountain is a hell, and they place their faith in whatever gets them through the day.
      Judge not.

Thank you for the information. The Spanish started this. Like what usually happens when they come around, in Potosi alone, over nine million Africans and indigenous Bolivians (slaves) died in these mines over three centuries. Socialism had nothing to do with it; it was the European. I guess that's their way of expressing gratitude for Bolivia sharing the potato. The Spanish did the same thing in Mexican mines, killing millions.

I am Canadian and have lots of south American friends who say that Canadian mining companies are taking advantage of them. If this is what the mines looked like before we rolled in and started modernizing the processes, then well I am glad that we are investing in mines there.
If the mineral resources is rich enough for these fine people to make a living there then just imaginge the kind of prosperity that can be realized if machinery was brought in to do this work and strict saftey laws. The miners would be more healthy, the mines would be more safe, minerals can be processed more effectively and with such profits, even environmental pollution can be paid for by the mine.

+Nguyet Ho seriously? You see the struggle of poor people and find it within yourself to use it to condemn...other poor people?
The people asking for 15$ an hour live in a country with FAR higher cost of living than Bolivia, so wages are not directly comparable. In addition, minimum wage workers in the US also have families, and also sometimes work in bad conditions. No, they don't usually work in the horrible conditions in the video, but the reaction to that should not be to mock the poor Americans, but to aspire for both poor Bolivians and poor Americans to have improved standards of living. And anyway, if a poor American can't complain because a poor Bolivian has it worse, why not say that the poor boy in the video isn't allowed to complain because at least he eats every day, unlike many boys in parts of Africa? So if that's not fair, why is it fair to mock poor Americans for wanting a better life?

Ok let's check history now let's check all the white people's real homelands what did they have what resources did they have go back years and years what did they have ? Nothing what would the UK have without all the country's they invaded and robbed ? Also America that is not white man land fact they did the same robbed and killed wiped out the real inhabitants of the now today America! And people want to come to these country's to live a better life the life that the white man took in the first place and then others come to the America and the UK for a better life ? Why did the Africa's the south America's shut there doors and love in peace why they let the white man in in the irst place that is where they went wrong !

Absolutely unacceptable that kids have to work in the mines in order to support their families. There needs to stronger regulation when it comes to child labor along with better access to education for these children and increased working conditions for the miners! Even a mask or lights or other safety equipment could help. Insane how basic safety equipment is not even utilized to aid the situation there. I hope things improve for everyone there and that no child ever has to work in the mines again!

Wildlands... similarities to real world definitely not a coincidence! I feel for these rural communities. They almost really are completely reliant on their government leaders to give them a better outcome to their lives re education, health, work employment, public access and resources etc. Definitely makes Wildlands a lot more depressing now....

DO PRACTISE FAMILY PLANNING WITH MAXIMIUM 2 CHILDREN. IF YOU ARE SUFFERING, DO NOT MAKE YOUR CHILDREN SUFFER MORE. OVERPOPULATION WITH ALMOST EVERYTHING IN SHORT SUPPLY IS NOT A GOOD WAY TO LIVE.

@6:15, it's so...true and so...funny, "outside the mine, we're Catholics. Inside, we worship the devil". So true about most Catholics. Gets all fire-up on Sundays but remained an invisible christian for the rest of the week...lol
