Except Lucas wasn't safe as Elizabeth thought Lucas was because Lucas had a mysterious past he was hiding from Elizabeth, HV, Bill Avery and especially from Constable Nathan Grant! Those mounties, retired mountie Bill & Constable Nathan Grant were right about Lucas in S6 about Lucas being mysterious, hiding his past, & not being truthful. #MountieInstincts I can't wait what we learn about Lucas past with Jeanette in S12. I mean his ex-girlfriend, Jeanette is a criminal. You know Randall & Rosemary will find out about more of Governor Bouchard's past ways. They will dig into that information & get the dirt on Lucas! 😂

sometimes I want to rewatch from season 1, but I can´t do that. It hurts too much. Just seeing the Jack parts in this video already made me sad. I can just rewatch from season 6. =/
Seasons 6 and 7 were good. It was hard for all the hearties to lose Jack and to watch Elizabeth's pain. But life does go on. Season 8 has been painful to watch because Elizabeth is not her sweet self and the writers have had her ignore Nathan's advances so she can flirt with Lucas. Season 8 is not a season I want to see again. Just want to find out who she will choose. I still think it will be Nathan. I hope it will be Nathan.
Sigh. I'm Team Lucas but I can also clearly see there are all these unspoken feelings, long glances with Nathan. Yet there's more lighting up, happiness and open communication with Lucas. I guess the creators didn't expect to create such a strong triangle. Two men who show their love in very different ways and bring in different things for the Elizabeth character. I could see Hallmark making the conventional choice and picking Nathan for Elizabeth especially as Allie is so involved in the storyline now. I don't see them showing Nathan + Allie getting hurt and moping around town but can see Lucas taking the loss better than vice versa.( It's just that I ve really grown to like his character that it would hurt ). Anyway what makes me wonder is this - moving forward if the show is to go on for several seasons, how would the the Nathan- Elizabeth connection look without all the angst /slow burn that hooks us in. In a movie, this works perfectly as it ends when the couple gets together. Also narratively would we want to see every mountie adventure tinged with Elizabeth's anxiety. Season 9 atleast would have many possibilities as we haven't seen Nathan date /court Elizabeth. I hope the show only grows in strength after the choice is made and doesn't lose the spark.
I am not Team Lucas at all, although I like the character of Lucas...just not for Elizabeth. But this is a very nice video that includes Elizabeth's relationship with various people in Hope Valley, including Jack, little Jack, Nathan, and Lucas. I can see Nathan as a great dad. Lucas rarely interacts with little Jack. At the end of the day, I hope Nathan will get the kiss and the girl and that season 9 will be their love story.
