FINALLY! This is a video I‘ve been looking for all over the place! Thank you for this. 👍 Gonna try this once I can find the time, as I really do hope to get into Displate. The only thing that I would say was a bit difficult was the quick movements like quick scrolling and all the flickering stuff. It was a bit hard on the eyes, but never mind, the content is was counts, and this is just perfect.
Thanks for the detailed explanation, lots to think about. How many images should we post in our portfolio for Displate? Other than meeting their requirements, are there any other gothcha's you recommend us paying attention to or is this info in your Design for Displate video?
I would post no more than 30, but anything in between 15-30 is a sweet spot - also nothing else is needed for this to work, just make sure you post art in your portfolio that fits "displate style " requirements to make it work
By "Displate Style" you mean the measurements that are required to fit into Displate's products? This would mean uploading only vertically oriented work, like you showed in your video example, correct? Thanks again for your videos!
Only and lonely one query. Artwork shown on thumbnail !! How to make such artwork?? Click on video to ask you this. And frankly, with such a breed of canva artist nowadays, one can't be accepted on displate. So getting accepted is secondary. Making this kind of art is the foremost requirement. Do you have a solution to my query with a detailed video in answer?
Thank you for your video. I have a couple questions about the images uploaded to the portfolio website. Should we upload full resolution images or can we downsize them, for example 900px long side, for the evaluation? Also, how many images should we upload for the review process? Appreciate your help.
@@PassiveProfits Thanks. I'm always suspicious to upload full resolution images and have them available for easy download. I had a never licensed image (low res) and got stolen by a business. When I contacted them they even had the nerve to threaten me with a lawsuit!
Thank you for this guidance. One more question, once I submit my portfolio to displate, then how displate will know that this portfolio is actually mine? How they will recognize?
you are sending the link in your email and if you want you can add some of your contact info in the section. usually people don't submit portfolios they don't own, i guess thats one way you can.
Your video instructions are not complete. For the portfolio template, how do you add a "Contact-Us" section? Also I don't think you can make the portfolio page your home page. The video got off to a good start but then you gloss over certain details near the end.
I don’t think you watched the full video- it’s there- Go to add block on your page then a pop up will come up then you click on the contact us type blocks
First off, great info and detailed descriptions on everything. However, you did go from talking about Displate, to building a Portfolio, but you didn't cover once you have a Portfolio created how do you submit it to Displate for approval? Thank you for the step-by-step tutorial on how to create a Portfolio, very helpful. Is there a number of images that your allowed to upload to one Portfolio page? How does one take a wilderness digital photo image and change the file size, DPI, and turn it into a JPG format to fit Displates requirements? Also, just so your aware I am a RUclipsr as well under my Full-Name with the same profile picture as this post with 47 videos covering 27 different category topic subjects sharing my personal knowledge and experiences with others to help others improve their overall adult lives. I've got videos on building yourself a high quality 24-72 Hour Survival Bug Out Bags, Home and Vehicle Preparedness and Readiness advice videos, several Financial Literacy advice videos, a dozen Cooking Creation Recipes videos, and more!
@@PassiveProfits Yes, I got approved. Thank you! How do you get approved on amazon merch? I mean I applied but there was no way of sending link to the portfolio I created
@@johnkeets1984 look, ai companies steal the artists work without their permission, so this whole ai art is morally unethical, Plus it is always no matter what putting off, I don't know what is it but it lacks something that makes art appealing.
@@Gupatik as per your logic every graphic designer is also stealing art of someone coz everyone is inspired by someone's work, learn the difference between inspiration and stolen , first if a design copied pixel to pixel that is called stolen art , and AI never do that, second I suggest u to learn new tech and up to date urself otherwise u lagged behind in this compatetive world.
@@johnkeets1984 I am an embeded system engineer, I make computers from scratch, you can't teach me much about new tech, I also know in depth about data training and how it is done in a mathematical level. Inspiration is different than taking an artwork that is not yours, training and fitting your model on it, then using the output without the permission of the owner. I know that since I am an artist myself, I know how inspiration works versus how shameless stealing is. If you actually know about AI, it is easy then to know that the machine can't reproduce anything new on its own it's just playing puzzle game with the fitting dataset. Maybe a solution is looking for some ethical AI generators where there is a fair contribution for all parties. You may have many qualities, but if being an artist is not one of them, just don't try to push it and become a maniac stealer. You can actually put time and effort as I did and train your hand to express what's in your mind, and people will definitely appreciate the result.

Are you allowed to use Ai Midjourney created images done with the prompts you make?
you are allowed, some are approved some are denied, they have to follow displates rules and regulations
@PassiveProfits like if I did , I would make like animals or landscape stuff not people. Possibly motivational quotes
