Nikurasu, I know it's such a shame to see such a beautiful car get damaged. Hey, at least we watched a Camaro get the shit beaten out of it. That's what you call quality content. Now, let's just hope the company ends up the same way!
Ford went in and redesigned the frame rail layout in the front end with the release of the 2017 Mustang models. From there on they got a "Good" rating on the small overlap crash test. The test we saw was what happens when the Crash rails are completely missed in an impact, being that those rails weren't struck, the car did pretty damned well for not causing major injury to the "passenger" in the car.
Nikirasu acceptable simply means the passenger compartment was deformed slightly. Good means it wasn’t at all. And as SAO said, they fixed the rails in the 2017 model, fixing the issue.

Looks like that’s a classic case of “old school” design that has been rewarmed. One thing we’ve learned is that heavier and thicker is not necessarily better when you are trying to survive crash forces. The Mopar may be heavier than the others, but it doesn’t deform to absorb the impact nearly as well as the other two. The Chevy “throws” a good deal of that force out the side with the wheel. Ford does much the same, but a fair amount of the force gets through and moves the dashboard towards the driver.
Ur Mum, I have read many times before that “crash forces increase exponentially as speed increases”. I was T boned while on a rental Mustang and I can confirm it fared pretty well. The guy( mexican ) fled the scene tho,and 6 months later the owner of the car he was driving asked me 5K dollars for some sort of compensation. Of course since I live in italy I've showed him by best middle finger...
Andrea Forcella That is as absurd as the guy who ran a red light, forcing me to T-bone him with my Honda GoldWing. He left the scene but 4 witnesses saw him run the red and leave. He had the nerve to claim 5K of medical damages for his passenger who was injured by my bike which weighs one third as much as the car he was driving on a suspended license. My biker lawyer made the judge laugh at the guy’s accusations when he proved that even my big, heavy, GoldWing “highway cruiser” doesn’t have enough mass to cause the injury he was blaming me for!
I need to watch more recently done tests since everyone in the past few years have always been driving like... well, 'psychos' would be an understatement. Going 20 over, tailgaiting, mobile in one hand and Starbucks drink in the other but eyes are looking down, weaving through lanes and running red ligh--- CRASH!

The Dodge was the only car where the drivers tire did not fall off :thus; it got wedge into a 45 degree angle and projected into the cabin, smashing the floor area of the driver's side of the car into the dummies right leg. So in this instance perhaps a break away front a frame of axel would help? I wonder do the other have this or just weaker front assembly gear.

+Hellcat9k actually these are final production vehicles you can buy today...
+BrianYYH still they will make improvements in the future with new cars and even the current ones plus i feel like that its random if the wheel comes off or not becasue the way the wheels fell off on both the comaro and the ford are completely different
They realized blacks are the only ones that drive them
John Adams how the hell did Dom survive all these terrible crashes?? These chargers/challengers are not even the new model....
You can hear the blinkers clicking away when they pull out the dummy from the challenger
Watching them pry the dummy out was like watching Russian EMTs working an actual extraction

@John does he look like a yank to you???

@NZT TZN Thanks
2:33 the crowd fights back
Most underrated comment.
Matt TheGoalie7 lmao
you just made my day
I like how the deformable barrier has 80's oldsmobile rims!
This hurt more than getting hit by a semi truck
Well two crowds saved this year, nice job
So don't buy a Challenger?
After being t-boned in a 2012 Camaro 6 years ago, I can see now why my neck and back are still messed up. My PTSD (from the accident) did not fare well watching this, but at least it explains things a whole lot better.
People don't get how real PTSD is, sorry for your injuries, it's not our fault!
@@donaldstanfield8862 Oh my. Please do not think I was blaming you at all. I was merely stating how hard it was for me to watch this because I was getting flashbacks from the accident that I was in. So sorry!
what about your daddy's viper?
JR garage?
+Draco Malformed didnt someone comment that line on the video where he brought his viper to school?
are you sure you're not talking about fast and furious tokyo drift lol
Tokyo Drift
+ATmatter yeah, the way these cars crashed reminded me of how the viper crumpled.
Didnt Chevy get the JD POWAH award for least likely to die in a crash?
Don't touch me
@@ohguy1991 I dont shake heeeands
Zacharia Abdollahi JD Power is like Motor Trend. Car companies pay for their awards in more ways than one!
Yeah, but those awards don't mean shit!
Mahk??
Nice to see the competition for who can make their dashboard explode quicker is still going strong!
2:04 this does bring a smile to my face
A moment of silence for the unfortunate crash dummy that tested the Dodge Challenger 😔
The sound of a car crash always puts a pit in my stomach.
2 things. 1. I feel like classic Muscle was way better back from 60s to mid to late 80s
2. Id hate to be the guy who gets into an accident in a new challenger
better as in safety? cause they definitely were ten times more deadly before. or better as in better looking? I could definitely agree that they were better looking..
there test cars dipshit
+thenightlifenj1 looking
+Hellcat9k ?? I know there test cars😂
thenightlifenj1 dipshit.
The Camaro small overlap was really impressive. The A-Pillar didn't seem to even budge at all!!!
That Mustang and *_especially_* the Challenger, well........who needs legs anyway?
Idk. Looked like the mustang took it better though. That camaro wheel turned to bits lol
@@chris_htepo I'd rather the wheel turn to bits than the space where my legs are occupying. XD
@@DJdoppIer LOL I was not expecting that to happen to the Challenger. As big as it is, I figured it would be safest?
This test saved me from buying a Dodge.
I like how the Camero's front wheel simply shatters and the rest just bent.
Awesome insight as to what is required to get these cars passed for roadworthyness.
I like how at 1:43 to 1:44 , there was a spinning screw that fell off the Mustang.
Ha!
Well, that will be a Challenge to have your feet intact after a wreck.
Factory: Where do you want the airbags?
Cheverolet: Yes everywhere
BeamNG and Rigs of Rods have better graphics :D
This real life crash test
...Did you really? ok then...
NeXuS hahahaha
TRUMP TRUMP TRUMP TRUMP TRUMP
NeXuS lol
Dodge Driver: Rick James voice “what about my legs Charlie Murphy!”
under rated comment.
hahahahaha
I own my challenger 6.4 L now for 2 years still got both my legs lol
For now
Dodge doesn't appear to make the safest cars or trucks, ford and Chevy are way ahead of them in terms of safety, yet you can buy a factory dodge with more power! Scary
This makes me want to play Burnout....
What can the best mechanic in LS do for you?
Underrated comment
When your legs dont work like they used to before...
🤦🏽♂️😂😂😂 is it weird how ik the song right away?
