Thank you for this video! I did it on jack stands and it took me about 3 hours. I had to go buy a grinder for the heat shield welds. Sounds great! Well worth it.
Thanx 4 the vid. I have your car's brother. 19 magnetic gt pp1 6spd active exhaust. I'm getting ready to drop the exhaust and drive shaft to change the shifter to a short throw. Figured if I got the exhaust off why not check out H pipes. And here I am. This vid may have sold me. Thnx again brother!
Wow.. great-great video! I just got my 5.0 Convertible at the end of July this yr and I cannot wait to do this to my car this weekend! I was wondering the difference between the X pipe & H and you really helped to settle my thought process. Although the X sounds pretty good, I wasn't blown away with it. This H sounds absolutely incredible! Ty for the video and high 👋 to a fellow Pony Partner! 🤘🇺🇸
Never had an issue that I could relate to hot gas tank, never heard of anyone else having that issue. I imagine the free flowing of exhaust helps keep it from get as hot.
For 2019 mustang gt's you have a heat shield on the pipes behind the resonator that you don't have on 2018 and older mustang gt's, that have to be pried off in order to do a cut and clamp h or x pipe delete? No wonder you only see 2018 and older model modifications, nice sound.
Hey man. Nice video. Helped me a lot. I’m looking to buying the C&L cut and clamp resonator delete off the same website. You went in detail about the coating of the pipes for yours. Any reason why the C&L might be a bad decision? I’m just looking for a deeper tone at an affordable price.
Nice sound 👍....drone or not inside the cockpit ?? Is there something unpleasant depending on the plan ... What does it change compared to the stock in this direction? thank you
Drone, if any, is minimal. With the 18 and ups, the quad tips gave the Mustang a more raspy sound which is enhanced if you add an X pipe. The H-pipe deepens the exhaust sound which kind of mixes the rasp with a deeper tone. In my opinion, this is the best sounding option for these stangs. I think the rasp is too much with the xpipe and gets worse if you add headers. I eventually deleted cats and then replaced that with headers and high flow cats. In the long run, it was just too loud for me. Didnt sound bad just too loud. This was a first time adding so much performance to a car. If that's what you want go for it, if you just want your cruiser to sound a little more aggressive with slight increase in throttle response, this with a k&n air filter or even a CAI is perfect.
thank you man from France... i think the same as you for the x pipe ... .... the h and more old shcool. your video and your opinion will help me decide if i'm giving a h pipe or nothing. i just don't want a drone
You will get a slight increase in HP and torque with the installation of the H-pipe. The real HP gains come with combining the resonator delete with headers and after market intake, and even higher flow mufflers. Just installing the h-pipe, the biggest difference is going to be the sound. From what I have seen the hp/torque increases are slightly less that of an xpipe and the hp/torque increases come at a little different power band xpipe. If you've done nothing to your vehicle and ur looking inexpensive mods for noticeable gains, slap on a k&n filter and a resonator delete (x or h), drive it for a bit to let it learn the new air flow (couple of days of normal driving), you with feel a boost in acceleration and throttle response.
Im not too savvy in working on a car but any specific reason why my H pipe wouldn't fit my clamps that I'm reusing? Am I took off both bolts and the bar that is pushed down when you tighten the bolts and still wont go into the clamps. I think I even opened the clamps a bit to the point that the small rail inside looks like its bending out of place if I try and open it more. It says it fits my 2019 mustang gt but again the clamps I'm reusing is making it impossible for me to fit the Hpipe. The Hpipe is a 2.50 inch if that matters and it's the same brand as used in the video and I made sure the pipe is lined up properlybut the clamp is my problem right now. And I've tried switching the pipes around to see if that works but nothing.
Without being there I'm not quite sure. I reused the front clamps on mine when I installed it. If all else fails run down to autozone and pick some exhaust clamps. I only used the clamps temporarily as I took it to a muffler shop and had them weld the connection.
@@vanhammerhp3248 ok yeah I triend running down the autozone and Oriley's but none had the correct adapter, I just decided to drive it around the corner to the muffler shop and have them weld it or get it done for me. But hey I tried to do it myself and I'm happy with trying lol. Thank you so much your video actually helped me more then others because everyone else forgets to show how to unplug the active exhaust.
Vanhammer HP thanks :) I live in an apartment bldg. I leave for work early in the morning. I don’t wanna get in trouble and bother the other residents. I do have active exhaust though.california here :) and u know that crappy exhaust law goin on here
The cat delete was with the h-pipe and I believe I was on E85 at the time. There is a slight difference in exhaust note with E85 tune and regular gas tune.
There's a significant difference in track mode than normal mode. With the resonator delete and Hpipe I would say perfect volume. You go headers or delete cats whole other story.
@@yhakult between stock vs afterwards not a huge volume difference but a significant tone difference. Not all Mustangs have active exhaust and if you go aftermarket exhaust not many offer an active feature. The aftermarket will be more like the track mode and will be slightly louder than this setup because aftermarket catback will probably be a wider pipe. I heard even the aftermarket active exhaust end up being loud, louder, and louder, lol.
I dont think u can make it sound like a V8. There are exhaust mods for the EcoBoost. I think American Muscle has a couple of videos. You may want to research Stangmode's earlier videos on RUclips, he started with an EcoBoost. I now have a ST Explorer and I'm gonna be doing some exhaust mods at some point for a deeper, more aggressive sound. I'll have to do some research .
I like the guy near the end. “You probably gonna like that”
One of the best exhaust recordings on RUclips. Superb listening on headphones. Captures the real life bass notes perfectly. Thank you Sir.
Why thank you my good man. Take a look at my other video that does the review. Pass bys, takeoffs, interior sound. You should enjoy that one as well.
I really like the way the H pipe sounds. I ordered a Steeda H pipe yesterday.. Thanks for the before and after sound clips! 👍👍
Thanks for showing how it's done. Sounds good! Nice to have a lift.

Great job great patience and it sounds great 👍 I like when a guy does his homework it pays off and helps us tubers

I love how the H pipes sounds compare to the X pipe, H pipes out a lot of the raspy sound! H pipe gives it a deeper tone

“For Real Dawg”
Outstanding video, thank you! Without the heat shields is there any danger of the gas tank getting to hot?
Never had an issue that I could relate to hot gas tank, never heard of anyone else having that issue. I imagine the free flowing of exhaust helps keep it from get as hot.
Same on mine pypes sounds loud as I ever wanted

You dont with the Steeda h pipes. They made them so you don't have to mess with the heat shields.
Right, eyes and ear protection?

Dont waste ur money on the more expensive name brand ones, this one rocks.
Sounds awesome can't wait to put mine on this spring...1 question I have a 2019 CS/GT with no active exhaust what mode do you think it would sound in
I would guess the normal mode
Are you going to be out at the drag tomorrow, would be killer to hear it in person!
I will be there.
Hell yeah brother

Any drone bro? Quiet mode still quiet while cruising?
Maybe a slight drone on wide open exhaust, but nothing that was considerable. Quiet still very quite.

Would you sell me your factory resonator?
I dont have it anymore.
Still need one?
