This hits close to home. My dad was in the US Navy during the Vietnam war and he has seen his fair share of deaths. He was first assigned in San Diego, CA. They went to Japan, and some other parts of the world. My dad, my mom, and my brother also had to move with him where the US Navy Housing is, or if it was an available option. I heard my fair share of stories, and photos, all from my dad during this time and I am truly proud of him. Not only that, but my brother, who also is a retired US Navy sonar technician in a submarine during the 9/11 attack. Everytime I hear of stories where veterans and men of uniform being treated unruly and without respect, it saddens me. These men bravely fought the war so that we can all be free. They have not only sacrificed their own personal happiness, but they also put their lives on the line just so we do not have to.
Salute and respect to all military servicemen.

@applepieejj3425, that's why I _ALWAYS_ thank a vet whenever I see them. My dad served in the Army Signal Corps in Germany during the Korean conflict, and every Veterans Day (which, coincidentally, is also my birthday--November 11), Dad would wear his "Korea Veteran" cap to dinner, and people would thank him--at least, they did until he got sick, and then passed away, by tragic coincidence, on November 11 of 2016. Even before then, though, I tried to always thank veterans (_AND_ current military personnel) for their service.

As a disabled USAF Veteran, I've lived this experience. As a Cold War Veteran, I never saw combat. As a medic, I have cared for those who had. Even today, 40 years since exiting the Service, I'm in awe, and have total respect for my brothers and sisters who served with dignity and honor. I don't have medals, or campaign ribbons, because I served between Vietnam and the Gulf War. My Oath has no expiration date, and I signed a blank check to the United States, up to AND including my life, to keep the Freedom that SO many people take for granted.

This story reminds me of my dad who fought in WW2. It makes me sad to see the way that vet was treated even though I know it's just a story I still cried for him. People need to treat our vets with respect they've been through things we could never understand and have to return to normal living like nothing's wrong I'm sure it's not easy to do that.

This is one of the best episode i have ever seen, whenever you see a vet like this please don't insult them, you are living free today just because of them. They lost their loved once or their closed ones in uncountable numbers, you can never handle the situation they haave gone through... Make their day if you see them in this condition. 🙏
