Dude you are kidding me? My favorite photographer in my country? I hope you enjoyed it! Great video and photos as always 🤟🏻 I hope you enjoyed a lot of Guinness 😁
Watched this video once and loved it. Then watched it again, with my girlfriend, as a way of pitching a trip across Europe this summer. Great stuff, mate.
This video made me realise that the reason my photos never "wow'ed" me weren't the photos themselves - but the subject. All this time I've consumed american photography and really appreciated photos of american landscape. The photos I took didn't "wow" me because they portrayed my every-day surroundings and european landscape. It's just weird to realise this now, when I looked at your photos of europe and I was a lot less stunned than your usual content. Don't get me wrong, there are great shots, it's just the subject that I'm too used to. This thought might even motivate me to go back to shooting photos and maybe travel more, for these photos to be interesting to me.
I'm from Budapest and it was beyond exciting to see the town through your eyes Brae, Budapest in the summer is the most beautiful and the most fun tho, so make sure to come back at some point haha
Cool to see you enjoyed Prague! I am currently an exchange student in Vancouver and will definitely swing by Seattle, Tacoma, and the surroundings to shoot some pics of your home state! The Pacific Northwest is beautiful.
Really beautiful work. I appreciate how you shoot both digital and film and you make sense of the use case of each. Did you do anything to protect your film during security checks?
Whoa! Amazing in every way! I was kind of aware you two were traveling, but I was for whatever reason not expecting this. When you make these documentary style productions they are just home run fantastic every time! 🙏✌
Budapest is one of my favorite places (being from vienna). Great shots. Also awesome to get to spend a little time in Austria, I haven't been back in a while, and definitely not drinking in Salzburg...
Prague and Budapest are always beautiful! It's kinda funny that I sill have to visit Salzburg, considering it's te closest to me, probably around three hours by car. I don't know if it open in winter, but in Prague, just under the metronome, there's a kiosk/open air bar with interesting local beers. Great place to have a pint at sunset admiring the city from the top, surrounded by locals and skaters! About trains, yes, absolutely, I really don't understand why a big country like the US doesn't have a rail system connecting everything, especially nowadays with high speed trains. Anyways, lovely pictures as always, the ones with the paragliders turned out amazing!
You've had at least one Fraziskaner on this trip, so you get a plus point from me. However the correct way of consuming it is to turn it upside down and tap the bottom at least once before you open it to enjoy the full flavour. But what do I know, I'm only partly Austrian 🤣
It would be interesting to see photos on medium-format film taken with a zoom lens. It seems to me that these will be even more interesting compositions of distant architectural objects and beautiful places of details of cities from high points.
Travelled through Austria, Budapest and Prague myself pre COVID, and this video was a lovely trip down memory lane. I agree it is a beautiful part of the world, such a shame I live more than 1/2 a world away. The upside is I have New Zealand just across the ditch and it has almost all that Europe has to offer (not as much history, Cathedrals or castles). You should swing by someday. I'll shout you a pint and you can split the G down under.
Hey Brae, Great video as always. Your color editing for your pictures is peaking here, I hope one day you can show us how you edit in NLP, I'm very curious how you get those creamy sunsets!!!
It's so great to see that you came to Europe and to see your photos of some recognizable places here! Too bad that you didn't visit Szimpla Kert in Budapest, it's a interesting place :)
These shots are incredible!! what was your experience on the 45mm lense? i always have issues focusing thru the viewfinder, it always seems like its not perfectly focused and slightly off. Thanks for this! Incredible video all together; made my saturday loll
Thanks! So far, it seems to be working fine. Most of my shots with it were wider landscapes and shot at f/8 or f/11 so wouldn't be able to tell if there were any focusing issues.
This is so fun to watch, makes me really want to go to these cities. How do you handle Mamiya 7 + video camera at all times? My neck can’t handle medium format camera plus DSLR lol. I guess X100V in your pocket is taking all the clips? Great video man
Thank you! I have the Mamiya around my neck, x100v in my pocket, then the Sony a7iv connected to my backpack with one of those Peak Design backpack clips. My neck and back didn't feel good by the end of this trip lol...
I'll give you a pass on that plastic cup guinness just because of your sheer commitment to splitting the G 😂 Stunning video and photos man, love to see it.
Damn, I would've loved to show you around Salzburg. There are so many beautiful, hidden spots tourists never find. The lake at 16:18 was frozen over a few days ago. People were ice-skating there 👌 Awesome that you found the Whiskey Museum. A girl I know works there. We shot some awesome portraits back in October up at the church at 15:15. There's a small field up there just at the right height where you'll get the steeple in the background.
Brilliant video. Looks like you had a great trip. Happy B-Day by the way. If you ever make it over to Norway, look me up. We have an Irish Pub in my town. :)
WTH? You were born in Stavanger? That´s where I live! Small world. Let me know if you want a pint when you're here. First one is on me. :) @@BraeHunziker
No way haha! I will most likely visit Stavanger in early June. Do you have Instagram? If so, shoot me a message on there so we can stay in touch! @@briantallman244
@@BraeHunzikeryou killed those glider photos. I have been to Austria twice (Glossglockner and Hallstatt area) and I hope to visit the country again soon. Though for me it’s a 5 hour ride, should be easy. Priorities elsewhere for now. But you gave me a huge itch with this.
Yes, slower and smoother. You also have to leave a couple of sips in the bottle and swing it in cercle motions to get all the remaining yeast out of the bottle and pour it in to the glass😅
Great tour and photography. Just a tip when showing the still images - it would work better with a black border rather than white. The white tends to affect contrast on the image. A black border will let the image leap out rather than shrink back with a white.
50% Beer 50% Film. Perfectly balanced like all thing schould be. 👌
Haha you know it!
Dude you are kidding me? My favorite photographer in my country? I hope you enjoyed it! Great video and photos as always 🤟🏻 I hope you enjoyed a lot of Guinness 😁

Your processing of those Mamiya scans is magic! Paragliding shots at 19:46 and 20:13 are my favorite.
Thank you dude! Got lucky with those photos!

Heck yes. The PNW is wonderful. Hope you're enjoying your time in Vancouver!
Incredible work as always, this video filled me with childlike wonder and joy
Haha love it. Thanks man
Really beautiful work. I appreciate how you shoot both digital and film and you make sense of the use case of each.
Did you do anything to protect your film during security checks?
Thank you! We flew in and out of Munich airport and they were kind enough to hand check my film.

Thanks so much dude

Appreciate it!
Great video , really enjoyed watching 🍻

dude those shots at 20:00 are some of the most incredible images ive ever seen.
Lucked out big time with that whole situation!
My train from Munich to Prague back in 2016 was so breathtaking. Almost missed the train lol but it was so worth it. Cheers Brae!
Yea I just love those European train rides!
Always enjoyed your format of video. Obviously wish to see more of European cities 😎 Thanks!
Will be back in May and June to capture more :)
Some of your best shots I've ever seen.
Thanks so much!

the metronome bar, the place is commonly known as Stalin btw, is only seasonal, so from around april to october:)
It's so frustrating to me that the U.S. doesn't have a system like that in Europe. It just makes so much more sense.
Thanks for watching the video! :)
Lovely video Brae! Great to see you in my region and I am glad you had a good time here :)
It was a fantastic trip!!
Love photography and, of course, love the G (Extra Stout)! Keep on traveling!
Another amazing video as always. Those photos are beautiful.

Really enjoyed this one!
Thanks!
Looks like a fun adventure and trip! From a German point of view I hope someone offered to teach you how to properly pour a beer 😂
Haha I have already been ridiculed 😂 Sending my apologies!
Exception video once again! I've been on the fence about getting the 43mm for my Mamiya, I think you sold me.Cheers!
Thanks for watching! I've been loving the lens so far! Would recommend trying it out.
Just ordered one yesterday, can't wait to try it out! Thanks!@@BraeHunziker

4:36 Dnoob river lol, I believe it's pronounced "Dan-You" lol.🤣🤣😜😜

how perfect are the colors in this video? how do you colorgrade? awesome video. can i buy the colorgrading-preset from you?
