Top-notch production quality, and a great review! These switches sound great! Super marbly. I got a couple samples (as a vendor) and I will definitely be picking up some more in the GB!
Do you have any switches with a shorter travel distance? I have around 100 cream sodas and I have a large handful of switches that have a shorter travel distance. I'd say about at least 30 or so switches have this issue. I also found that a lot of them also have globs of lube on the spring which isn't really gaterons fault but is kind of annoying to clean off.
so... I'm hesitant on the weight as well... I think something along the lines of 50g ... so is that possible? get an 18-20mm long spring in 50g weight, and since we have the switch open, film it and slap it all back together... what say you? and where would we find such a spring?
cream sodas have been my favorite switch for a few months now. no matter what else I try, I always go back to cream sodas. I wish they were in stock I want to put some in more boards!
@@TofuTypes have a random question. im going for a new build with the jris65 r1 and im really struggling deciding between the cream sodas or the loobed pine switch (which you should definitely review if you havent!) for my next build. i am going for a deeper sound signature with a bit of a marbly sound as well into it.i heard that the pine switches are really deep and thocky but the cream sodas also have my attention. i really need a recommendation. thanks!
@@brendanchen-cn9xl if you want a deeper sound signature i would probably go with the cream sodas (i have the pine switches in hand I just haven't gotten around to it yet for a full review) The cream sodas are definitely also smoother for sure.
@@TofuTypes wow ok! i would have thought that the pine switches would have given off a deeper sound due to the full POM material used. so you think overall that the cream sodas would be superior compared to the pine switches for a deeper marbly sound signature combined with the jris65 r1?
Can I ask if there is any reason why you always do the switch tests on your Vega? Is it just a great board for switch testing? Not hating, it’s just I’m sure you have heaps of boards as an enthusiast and I was wondering why you always mainly showcase the Vega in your videos
I guess mainly at one point the vega was the only board I owned so I just keep using it moving forward as like a baseline. And nowadays it's one of the few hotswap boards I have left. More just a personal preference at this point that I just use it out of convenience haha.
I prefer that he keeps using the Vega - it's a consistent control variable and helps me actually differentiate between switches, unlike other creators who keep using different boards, which kind of defeats the purpose IMO
Your channel is the reason I have two shelves of frankenswitches that I'll never slot into a board, and I don't regret a thing. Keep up the good work! I do have a question on how you personally define clack. Are you referring to the texture of the sound, like how hard and crisp the bottom out sound is, or do you use the term to mean high-pitched? A lot of people use the latter, but I've found that many long pole switches are actually quite deep.
I’m also the same way xD I have boxes of frankenswitches that I’ve yet to film LOL As far as clack goes I typically go a mix of both, if it has a higher pitched/cleaner sounding bottom out sound + a higher sound profile top out sound. Granted it’s not always going to be higher pitched as some switches can be super crisp but deeper sounding. It’s a loose definition LOL
Dude that grab freaked me out! I was not expecting that 😂

oh for sure, definitely super impressed with these switches :D Will definitely be going into my collection for sure

Awesome, man! Nice review and vibe. Glad you like them and approve!
Thanks for bringing them to life :)
Dang, these sound pretty crisp! Might have to pick some up. Great video, dude!
i would say definitely take a look at them :)
Why do I love you videos so much? Missed a bunch of your latest videos. Back on it.
1:57 really surprised me 🤣 but that was clean
gotta love the aggressive ending on the sana LMAO. good review mr fu, sadge these are only gb, maybe we can see an in-stock version at some point.
Definitely picking a bunch of these up. Thanks for the review!
do you prefer these or the pure berrys?
What happened at 2:00 ?? Looks like you were about to pick up your board to throw it across the room lol
That's an inside joke ;)
he's transitioning from sound tests to drop tests
Goated!
how would it compare to cthulhu? is the difference mild enough that it would be worth just getting these instead of building ur own cthulhu
I would get these over the cthulhu, the smoothness alone is worth it!
I had a heart attack from that grab 💀💀💀
I finaly got my opblacks to make cthulhus and this is what you show me😢
LMAOOOO
Sheeesh 3am upload god I have school like later today fuq
LMAO smooth brain me forgot to set the release time...again
@@TofuTypes well it works for us EU folks :D
Great review! These are bottoming out on the pole, right? 13.2mm is a little short compared to other long pole switches, so I am not entirely sure.
Yup they bottom out on the pole!
awesome vid, are they like the pure berries where the stem rubs on the housing a bit too much making them kinda mushy?
actually no! I didn't have that issue with this switch

Do you prefer these over the knc green jacket linears?
Wait where did you get that Jett statue?
it was a birthday present haha
bro everytime you go ham it catches me offguard HAHAHA

Seems like a lot of work LOL films aren’t really necessary but spring swapping you’d probably have to do some searching for it. 50g is pretty light
@@TofuTypesmaybe a 53 or 55g weight. Similar in weight to DD jingle. Just a smidge heavier than a gat red.

it's the stem from the kingfisher linear switch
