Yes, just a little bit. Your colors will be slightly more pure when you have more clear gel. Sometimes I like a 50/50 mix when I am wanting slightly more vivid colors. Otherwise, I mix 20% Clear Gel with 80% Titanium White and apply it over the sky area of the painting to help the colors blend easier.
