I sold my first painting to a stranger yesterday. Really exciting. But I couldn't ever paint enough to make a living from them, if ever I sell regularly. But I hate the feeling that most of my paintings will be put away when dry and never see the light again, if they could give someone enjoyment, like me when painting them. Its true that most artists must think the same. When you are learning, you just have to accept most of your work will be painted out and then in the fullness of time, chucked out. I'd suppose they are just canvases of learning .

I love the details. I make each painting my friend and if I’m not working from a photograph, I do from memory of the Lake District. I love stone walls and old buildings. I did a passable one of my grandmothers old back yard towards the entrance door. This isn’t there now as the house was renovated to bring it into the 21st century. So it might be part of history now.

I tried several time to paint by watching his video and several time I made simply rubbish. Why? Simply, because painting is an art and if you are not talented only you can get is rubbish... I'm astonished when I look his highlights and every single details and finishes. As always, great work Kevin!
With all due respect, that is a complete and unadulterated lie! I am a self-taught artist who could barely draw stick figures ten years ago. Today I am painting conceptual artworks, including book covers. I developed and honed my skills through sheer determination. One does not become an artist over night; it can take years, even decades before you will be able to paint like Kevin. The key is to not give up after your first or tenth try.
Another masterpiece from the "Master Of Oil Painting ," I feel.. Wish I could achieve the same results from painting with acrylics, though. To me - and prob to others also - you *are* the "modern master" of oil paintings Mr. Kevin!!! Hope I can someday paint at least HALF as good as you d6!
