- Shadow Will Change EVERYTHING in Sonic Prime SEASON 2! An analysis on Shadow the Hedgehog's character in Netflix's Sonic Prime and how to portray him properly by drawing from his origin in Sonic Adventure 2. I also give my predictions on Shadow the Hedgehog's role in the upcoming season based on his characterization in season one and the official teaser released for season 2. I predict that Shadow will travel with Sonic to different shatterverses and I hope that there will be a shatterverse that is inspired by the Space Colony Ark from Sonic Adventure 2 and the Shadow the Hedgehog video game.

Honestly, I think shadows rage toward sonic, especially at the end of the first season, is completely justified. Shadow warned Sonic not to be so reckless, but the blue hero didn’t listen and ended up, literally destroying the universe and shattering it into several Pocket Dimensions. Sonic literally just destroyed the world Shadow promised Maria he would protect.
And I could see season two having shadow attempt to fix the Shadowverse himself, but in the end, perhaps the two hedgehogs realize that they can’t do this alone, and they work together to save the multi-verse

I don't think it's justified because by now why attack sonic and not hear him out about Eggman planning something with an object that clearly will be used for his own devices. Had he not get in Sonics way before, he wouldn't have been late to help his friends out. Yet the show goes out of its way to make Sonic seem careless and irresponsible.
@@UnifiedEntityEven if Shadow weren’t in the way, Sonic would have touched the prism despite everyone’s warnings and still destroyed the universe. Except, since Shadow wasn’t chasing Sonic, Sonic would be stuck sorting it out by himself. In S2, Shadow is still a big help near the end. Sonic in the show isn’t smart enough to figure out how to fix the universe by himself, and that’s a pretty big ask 😅. Sonic is reckless bc he wants to seem cool all the time. It’s like his only flaw so let them have it

I feel like it should be Shadow that deals with the dimensions with the alternative Rouge in it seen as how they have a long history of being friends/team mates

100% agree. For the record, I actually like Prime Sonic so far and I'm glad Rouge is included in the main cast. It seems like the decision was basically made to merge her into Team Sonic as she's been in the lore long enough...
However, She is canonically Shadow's best friend and it would be weird if they just decide to ignore her history w/ Team Dark.
Sonic is somewhat ADHD and not a great listener (that's part of the problem right?) Shadow is a great character to offset some of that in the plot overall. There are a lot of unanswered questions that will hopefully be addressed in season 2. It will be interesting for sure.

That’s because Shadow doesn’t trust Sonic in fixing the shatterverse and tired of Sonic’s reckless
I like how this show is handling Shadow, he reminds me of the earlier games (2001-2007), also his actions for attacking Sonic in the end of Season 1 are justifiable since he swore to protect the world and now due to Sonic's actions they no longer have a world to go back to and protect but at the same time he aids him by telling him about his situation and getting him to keep running allowing Sonic to travel to other Shatter Spaces.
Also it appears only the variants of characters get a world, now Rouge and possibly Big might end up becoming characters of interest.
I say Nine would also take a huge role in season 2 for this show.
Kinda little bit Salty that my Boi Shadow didn't get enough Action and Spotlight in "Sonic Prime," hopefully to see more of him in the 2nd Season,
But hey, the Best part about Shadow is that at least he's not Voiced by Kirk Thornton, he's not a bad Actor but he was a terrible choice to be the Voice of Shadow The Hedgehog.

Not all character have their own dimensions. Big has none. Shadow is trapped just because he use chaos control to protect his identity, so he wasn't shattered. In part a pity, I would have liked to see a cheerful version of him, similar to the one in "Sonic dash and spin" manga (what are you looking at?).
I’m guessing we will have more dimensions in Season 2.
My theory for Shadow's role in season 2 is that he will start off as an antagonist, but in a "you messed up enough, now I will handle this" kinda way. That's why we see them fight over Nine's device, they can't both be in the Shatterspaces so that'll be a source of conflict.
As for the idea of an ARK inspired shatterspace, it's cool, but I don't see it happening. Prime doesn't really care about referencing events or locations from the games, it seems to be more interested in exploring Sonic's relationship with these characters on a more general level. I really hope we get to the point where Sonic and Shadow can work together though.
Also, a common thing with the shatterspace is that they're versions of Green Hill that were changed by the prism presence: in New Yoke it's the reason the council took over, the Boscage Maze was created by the prism's power affecting the plantlife, and in the pirate world it's implied that the prism caused massive storms that flooded Green Hill.
So maybe the next shatterspace will be a cowboy world where the prism somehow caused a massive drought that turns Green Hill into a desert.
Very true, yeah the shatterspaces are just different versions of Green Hill, but one can dream of a space shatterverse lol!

How can there be Shadow's own shatterverse if he's seemingly unaffected by the shatter in the first place?
I know Shadow ultimately a lot and he should help Sonic instead of being a lone wolf. Plus he was created to bring peace, hope and be friends not only Sonic and friends but also to humanity like Maria and Molly from Sonic X.
Probably Shadow knocks out Sonic take one of the devices then he hunts down the paradox prism he'll probably would go undercover working for the choas concil to hunt down the paradox prism peices theirs six dimensions six characters connected to the crystals for tails the red pardox prism peice green for Amy Blue pardox prism peice for the pirate Knucles a purple peice for Big the cat and the yellow one for Rouge their probably a sixth peice in the dimension where nine showed to Sonic and probably Shadow finds that peice

Sonic and Shadow don’t have their own dimensions because they didn’t get caught in the prism’s blast. My big prediction (probably isn’t a prediction because it fits together so well I’m half certain it was confirmed already) is that their dimension didn’t get destroyed, it got split, and each dimension is just one of the split versions of Green Hill and each character is a piece of the originals’ personality mixed with the nurture of their environment. It was never confirmed in the show, but I’m pretty sure that’s what it is leading up to.
