- check all fuses under the dash, under hood first. check power and ground on fuel pump in the truck. if power and ground are good and fuel pump is not running you probably have the defected fuel pump, if power is not at the pump you probably have blown fuse or defective relay under dash, now if you have no ground or ground side have voltage this video is how to repair ground pulse. learn how to use relay is explained at the 3/4 of video
Thanks for the step by step demonstration.
@@carlosstafford5030 glad it worked out for you. Please subscribe 🙏 🙂
Very very helpful. Step by step w good instructions. Bravo and ty.
Thank you please subscribe ☺️
Thank you for this video I really appreciate you.
I am going to try to check power at fuel pump plug and at relay in front and also try the starting fluid! 🎉
Hope you find the trouble
@@goautosound1 none of it worked so I think it’s the timing, but your video helped me to eliminate all other possibilities.
thank you!
It wasn't easy to figure out what was wrong with the car but once we've checked all components and found the cause of the problem we were able to modify
What was the cause
@@Tang335 well the fuse box was defective.we could have replaced the fuse box but what we did worked fine
Thanks for sharing the fix
good work 👏 👍

Hello again, so far I've had the Bosh relay working, this past weekend my fuel pump went out. Replaced the fuel pump and car is running again! For about 2 weeks I have had a small glitch that is puzzling me.
When I turn the key to crank it, car cranks and while holding the key on crank it stops cranking. I turn the key off and crank again and then it cranks a full cycle until the car starts. What could be the problem here now.
@tiggermix it sounds like you either have a bad relay connection or intermittent power at the starter.i would put a meter at the starter wire to see if power stays on while cracking. It disappears during crank , and you may have a defective ignition cylinder. If power stays on during cracking, you may have bad starter motor
Hey! I am dealing with this now, and hoping for some insight.
Getting Ground & between 10.9 - 11.3 volts at the fuel pump | No ground & 11.6 volts at the relay/fuse box - I grounded it the way you did in the video with the wire on the relay BUT still didn't start :c Could it be the fuel pump itself? Maybe the sending unit? Or am I looking in the wrong place?
Anything would be appreciated! Thanks in advance
@FernandoQuintero-p4b do you have power and ground at the fuel pump?
Next step is to get a carburetor cleaner and send it in air intake pipe, then try to start.
If your car starts, your fuel pump isn't working .if it doesn't start, you need to look something else
@@goautosound1 100% yes, ground & power at the fuel pump and funny you mention it, it did start when I used ether/starter fluid... so its the fuel pump?
But, before replacing the fuel pump I checked the relay and it has power but NO ground. So that is what made me uncertain about the fuel pump.
@FernandoQuintero-p4b if you have no ground at the fuel pump, when cranking this video, it is how you can fix it. If you have power and ground when cranking, yes, you may have the defective fuel pump
@@goautosound1 Just ordered the fuel pump and will let you know it will be here tomorrow :) Thank you.
I hate to get ahead, but, if its not the fuel pump any suggestions where to check next?
@@FernandoQuintero-p4b hope it works 😀
So, just wondering if anyone has replaced the fuse box and this problem was taken care of and there was no need to use the Bosh Relay anymore. I'm having to do this on my 2005 Accord but I do not want to leave the Bosh relay permanently there! What is the wire color and pin for the Fuel Pump ground at the fuse box and the ECM, I would like to do a trace on it.
It may work if the fe box is the defective part but mine was immobilizer module
Only way to fix the problem is to check the ground for that circuit. Gonna need a wiring diagram but from the looks of it sounds like there is an open circuit possible could have taped on the fuel pump to see it it start while cranking could be the groud the pump failed . A faulty sensor also could cause that .
Why didn’t you just wire the ground from original relay to a ground under dash so it’s always grounded?
Because the relay is triggered with ground,if you do that your fuel pump be running all time
by connecting the 2 wires to “power”, you mean the white 12v wire correct?
The white wire goes to ignition, two wires to ground output which is grounded when relay is activated
okay, so do you ground the black & blue wires to the white 12v on the ignition switch, or to a metal piece on the body?
@unknownexotic1415 no 12 volt is not ground
Black and blue wires to ground .metal is ground, so black and blue to metal, which is ground
Thank you!
before you modified the setup, was the fuel pump coming on when you turn jey to ignition position?
No. fuel pump will come on till power and ground are at the plug
I am having a similar prob with a 2000 accord v6. i can hear the fuel pump coming on when the key is switched on. but i am not getting spark
@@QRS365hi bro, have u solved this prob bro,i got same issue like this..
@@longapard9518 yeah i had 2 issues. first 1 was a blown acg fuse and the second problem i had a bad ground for the ecu
Name of that tool
You mean test light?
Yea
ANCEL PB100 Automotive Power Circuit Probe Tester, 12V 24V Car Test Light Electrical
A GOOD TECH.WOULD LOOK AT A SCHEMATIC AND TRACE THE BROKEN GROUND WIRE. IT IS CALLED LAZINESS BUT INTERESTED.
Did explained you either replace the fuse box or just spend less than ten dollars on a relay and follow my step( new fuse box would be more than three hundred dollars )If you are working for dealership they will never let you do what I did.):
So if the starter alternator and battery are good but the car want turn on or crank at all would could be the issue ?
@@adonismarley423 you can check the the power and ground on fuel pump in trunk
To see if the fuel pump is good or bad.if the power and ground is ok then listen for the whistle noise on pump with key on.another easy way to test is get a STARTING FLUID and spray into intake while cracking.if the car starts you have trouble with fuel system if it doesn't start look for other issue
