That Glory steelbook is beautiful. Yes, if A24 does an X/Pearl/Maxxxine 4K box, it’s an instant preorder for me.
I had a pretty good haul this week. I had Chinatown pre-ordered as it's one of my favorite films. I picked up Cry Baby, Serpico, and Tropic Thunder from the Kino B&N sale. And Touch of Evil I ordered straight from Kino because for some reason it was on sale cheaper right now than the B&N sale. It was definitely a Kino week for me. Now my wallet gets to rest before the Criterion B&N sale hits next month.

It's worth it I'd say. Two very good special features as well that I forgot to mention.
The Team America World Police from last year I believe was uncut where the other release was rated cut
Immaculate was truly a good film - so glad you recommended as I picked up and watched a long with my wife. Great film - definitely glad you called it out and I’d recommend as well.

I guess I have bad taste in movies because I have been having a good time at the movie theater, the first omen, immaculate, the fall guy, dune 2, furiosa just to name a few I’ve seen. And we still have movies like alien romulus and longlegs I’m looking forward to
15-20 minute videos are more digestible for sure

Love lies bleeding had a regular Bluray release here in Canada. Really odd that it doesn’t for the US

That Chinatown 4k is pretty solid. Still looks like Paramount is reducing some grain, but they left some in this time. It varies from scene to scene unfortunately. Also, they used a BD100, so the bitrate is reference quality. No digital artifacting to be found with this one.
Is it worth upgrading from the Blu-ray?
@andysmith1996 I haven't seen the bluray, so I couldn't say for sure. But in my opinion, the answer is always yes if you really love the movie. 4k just looks better on a modern TV with Dolby vision and the higher resolution.
Mine in the Mail....can't wait hopefully no dodgy surprises.
I love the slip and was really happy with the transfer, I was getting nervous after the once upon a time in the west transfer drama
There’s nothing wrong with grain removal. I don’t get why people moan. I remember when ghostbusters was released on standard blu ray years ago and it was grainy and people were moaning about it. Now people want grain. I don’t.

Ok Ken it has to be said … is there any movie you don’t buy ? Seriously… you buy a ton of movies just like cereal at midnight, I mean how do you even have time ?
Look I’ve been collecting since the laserdisc era (1994) and I can say with supreme confidence I don’t have %25 of the amount of disc that you or cereal at midnight … do you buy films just to collect or actually watch .. just a question because if you watch them once ,its doubtful you’d watch them again just on the strength of being so much stuff coming out all the time… and at that why don’t you just rent them and save some cash and buy the stuff that’s actually good enough to own.
I intend to watch everything I own at some point, as unrealistic as that may be, that is the goal. But to be honest, I’m fine with knowing I may not watch many of these twice or at all for that matter. Much more important to me to archive a selection of titles I’m interested in for future watching options. That’s just the way I collect.
Surprised you haven’t seen the Fletch movies Ken 😢. They are by far Chevy’s best role and his favorite
I'm looking forward to the review of Chinatown. I'll admit I'm on the fence about this film - I liked it but I don't know that it's one I need to own. Others seem to love it more than me.

Lionsgate slip, but not their limited editions as much.
A24 has produced The Souvenir and The Souvenir Part 2 which did get a double feature blu ray edition on A24’s website. Knowing that X and Pearl aren’t on 4k yet in the US, I’d assume they’d do a special edition trilogy 4K exclusively on their website when Maxxxine releases

Can't wait to see Chinatown. It'll be a first time watch. Also, I really liked Stopmotion. I'll most likely get the bluray.

All 4Ks, with the exception of 2 I know of, are region free.

Love Lies Bleeding, without having seen it, I'm gonna say it isn't the best movie of the year. I have yet to see anything that beats Dune Part 2. Team America is another pass. Once again no unrated cut on the 4k. Ordered Immaculate and South Park with your links (previously).
