I like Mobsters. One of my fav classes in undergraduate was organized crime. We learned the history of these guys and this movie felt like watching it come to life.
Dude! I thought I was the only person to know Spacecamp. I watched it all the time when I was a kid. I love that movie! Great List and I'm only on the first movie you picked. You just earned a subscriber!
awesome!! thanks for deciding to hang around lol! I watched Spacecamp so much when it hit the movie rental stores, I could have bought it 50 times over lol
Love the list. It almost matches mine. I’m happy to hear that others remember “Rose Red” and “Storm of the century “ You I might like Stephen King’s “Bag of Bones.” And “Dreamcatcher.” If you’ve never seen it, “Twin Peaks” season 1-3. David Lynch is very focused on the evil underlying small towns. “twin Peaks” is quirky and possibly more odd comedy, but the scary scenes are scary. It takes until episode 7 to start to show this. Mike Flanagan’s “The Haunting of Hill House” is great and on physical media. His “Midnight Mass” is a slow burn but awesome atmosphere. Sadly, it’s not on physical media. Thanks for the update on the Patteon account!
@LanceThigpen hey thanks so much and thank you for joining the patreon! I'd have had your shout out in this video but this one was already locked and loaded before that! I enjoy dream catcher and bag of bones and I have read (or listened to on audible) both of those books! I think Stephen King is the best at this vibe without any question! Funny you mention Twin Peaks, I think TV shows can pull this vibe off even better than movies- I'm probably going to do a top 10 horror TV series here soon too!!
I have loved Spacecamp every since I first saw it as a kid way, way back in 1986. It sadly came out the same year as the space shuttle Challenger explosion which is why it tanked. Iron Will is available to watch on Disney+.
You said Chuck Noris and my mind instantly went to Sidekicks!, you got me. Hey here is one, ever hear of Masterminds (1997) WIth Patrik Stewert? Now that's a random one

I own 2001 Maniacs. I think it is hilarious. Also, I think you are right about it being a kind of sequel or sort of updated remake of 2000 Maniacs. Great list.
2001 Maniacs is a kind of sequel to Herschel Gordon Lewis' 2000 Maniacs. The original is just as wild if you haven't seen it. HGL wasn't called 'The Godfather of Gore' for nothing.
"Mobsters" I haven't seen. I'll try to find it. Chuck Norris' "Hellbound" I have on dvd. It really mixes those movies you mentioned. "2001 maniacs" I have on dvd. I recommend it for anyone who likes gory kills.
@@Ercolano78 Hellbound is definitely one of those Chuck Norris and cannon films that you don't hear talk about a lot and 2001. Maniac's has some super ridiculous kills.

space camp is a fun movie. very underrated. sadly been out of print for a while. it shocks me that there is no re-issue yet. Mobsters. like Bugsy. this one focus more on Lucky Luciano and Bugsy was more of side character in this movie. Hellbound is a fun rump. pure cannon. btw, the movie was originally intended for Charles Bronson to star in it instead of Chuck Norris.

I was just talking about Cobb to my mom last week, asking her if she remembered watching that with me and Dad, and I told her I wanted to see it again. I found it on DVD, but it was way overpriced. I'm keeping an eye out for a better deal. I've had 2001 Maniacs on Blu-ray for a while now. I love that movie. It also features the Suicide Girls. Lol.
@AVAPopCulture Haha, yeah. It's not like super dirty, but of course Crispin Glover is super weird. Lol. It's not for everyone. Herschell Gordon Lewis is not for everyone, but if you enjoyed 2001 Maniacs, The Wizard of Gore remake is definitely worth a look. There's one copy left on Amazon for $30 + tax.
