I have just stubled apon your channel. I really enjoy watching your videos. You have a inspired me to document my travel like this for memeories . Thanks
I agree. We went this summer stayed 7 nights first time since 2019. Great time but more crowded than I’ve ever seen and price for food crazy high. Land more expensive with corporate coming in to the point where locals will no longer be able to afford there and it’s going to loose its authenticity
Another great video. Thanks. We will be there in late October and early November for 9 nights. Also just booked Merida trip for late February for first ever trip there. Six nights in Merida and 3 nights Sisal.
An absolutely great place ... but not what it was 15 years ago. Yes prices have skyrocketed and the crowds are crazy. Those first few years we went were like an island paradise. Don't get me wrong, the sand, the water, the sun, they are great. Walking down Hildago after sunset .... It was all great. Now it's like Cancun in too many respects. We have been there as many as 6 times a year but just prior to Covid we stopped. During Coved, no way I was going to an island paradise and wear a mask. Since then, when I see the videos there is sadness in seeing the change with the crammed in condos and crammed streets.
Thanks for the walk brings back good memories I agree to eat at the local places and stay at Mexican owned how do the locals feel about the new resorts? Definitely don’t want to see the locals lose out on any income. Such great people
Dang Schrimpf, that other feller is right! I was reckonin you'd stick with the Chinese knockoffs, considering them Costas decided to pay a visit to Neptune. 😊
It's getting to that point of too much. We go there 3 times a year for many years now and we have said/feel it's at its limit. Love the walk, mine usually takes a lot longer. Tarzan's being one of the reasons for sure. 😂
Hi Schmoopler, will you guys be doing any videos featuring authentic, less touristic eateries down there? Off the beaten track and popular with locals.
We usually enjoy those places off the record. We should do a video on them but then they wouldn’t be a secret anymore. We try to review the places people are more likely to visit. We do have a food video in que with some less popular places and we did one not so long ago with the local municipal market
@@SchmoopsAdventures Yeah, you have a point. First timers typically generally feel more comfortable surrounded by other tourists. At least you guys aren't afraid to have the more authentic experience. 👍
@@SchmoopsAdventuresI guess the question is, why do folks travel to a foreign country just to seek out their own? Seems as though it defeats the purpose of experiencing a new culture. If the destination is safe, then I really think that folks should break away from the herd and get a truer experience. If I wanted to be surrounded by Americans then it's more sensible for me to stay in America. 😂 This is why I avoid Cancun. Keep up the good work Schmoople 👍
@@SchmoopsAdventuresYep, I hear y'all! Schmooplers and the rest of y'all fellers are right. Personally I ain't stayed in daggone Cancun since the 90s, on account a it's just like being in the USA but with turquoise water. Reckon I ain't got much need fer loud overweight Americans when I go on vacation. In fact fer me, Isla Mujeres and Cozumel are at their best after 17:00, when them doggone tourists are back on their barges heading out to sea. The road less traveled is what my pappy taught me. I think Schmooplers gits it. 👍
Hey Shumple I thought you were going to stay away from the high-end shades after the Costa incident? 😳 Now you're risking it with Oakleys it seems. BTW, that light blue T-shirt 👕 is tough! What brand is it?
Thanks for your comment. People don’t find out about the island from our videos. People search “Isla Mujeres” to learn about the island from our videos. They’re already coming, be glad they learning the ropes watching info about the island instead of just showing up and adding to the crowd.
We're doing walking cardio at the gym watching this. Imagining we are walking the beach. We will be there in October
Thats PERFECT! love it

Great walk you 2! Thank you for your videos! 😘
Another amazing upload. The world needs video's like this. Peaceful positive vibes!!! Cheers
We were there in early July. Prices are up, crowds are up. And it was hot. But, it’s still our favorite place.
We’re from the UK and have booked to come back to Cancun July next year. Can’t wait to spend some more time on this island!
Loved the beach walk! Thanks guys!
Thanks for another great video! Any idea how much the beach massages are at the place you passed by?
Not sure actually, we never got one
More good content! Thanks!
I’ll run into you two sometime, I’m at my house on Punta Sur every 3-4 weeks. Great vid. Cheers!

Are you of the Shannon, Ireland Tracy's ?
Grandmother milia? County cork I believe
Started visiting this island 16 years ago. It is still my favorite place to visit, but it has become busy and pricey. Always buy from the locals

We were there the following week and it wasn’t bad. Super hot but amazing none the less. I agree this is the wrong spot if you want all-inclusive.
Who wants all inclusive?

The Schumplers are obviously not typical "tourists". They travel to the best of their own drum and not with the herd. That's why I enjoy their vids.
I couldn't agree more about not doing all-inclusive.

It is one of ours available on our Spring page my-store-d9beb3.creator-spring.com/
Thanks man!
@@SchmoopsAdventures is it the Heather Royal that you're wearing in the vid?
@RickTellek maybe denim blue. I don’t remember. Lemme check, yeah I think it’s the denim blue
It’s crowded and expensive, thanks to RUclipsrs telling every secret known to man.
