This video teaches the important aspects of calculating Fresh Water Allowance (FWA) and Dock Water Allowance (DWA) as vessel moves in water of differing densities. Questions from Capt Subramaniam's Ship Stability are used as examples for student understanding.

Good day Sir.I have question regarding this topic. But how can we calculate if vessel sails from fresh water to dock water or vica versa.Because we talked only respective to salt water when we calculate FWA DWA

    Thank you
    I have a question
If my vessel is in density 1.015 and ship will sail to SW density and ship will be take full cargo.
Vessel in summer draft 9.54 (1,025)
But vessel in density (1,015) after making DWA there will increase the draft 8.5 cm will be 9.625 m
Is it allowed to loading to this draft without any question from harbor master why ship is over load summer draft.
