  • Here is a demo of Richard's Eventide Instant Phaser, which wasn't working but now is! I decided to feature its mom, the Eventide Instant Phaser prototype, hand-built in 1970 by the founder of Eventide, Richard Factor.

    That’s amazing! I think I like the sound of the prototype the best. Very powerful phasing! I own the Eventide FL-201 Flanger, along with a 910 and 949 harmonizer. (I’m a bit of a fan)! Such an innovative company.

    but the first rack effect ever? what about Bode Frequency Shifters and Ring Modulators. Thems effects

      Those would definitely be older. So maybe this is the third rack effect? Certainly the first mass produced one.

      @@foleytronics Not exactly a "rack" effect, but Countryman also made a half-rack studio phaser that predated Eventide's and were used in a lot of recording studios in late 60s/70s.
