This ITX PC build was... interesting. On paper, Corsair's 2000D Airflow supports TONS of cooling. It's even shaped mildly like a mid-tower! But there are a few issues with the layout and design. Let's build and discuss!

I'm more of an MATX type of guy, but I have massive appreciation for these ITX builds. Clean, sleek design; unsuspecting sleeper, if you will. Not to mention all the work it takes to fit everything inside.
Same here, mat really needs more love imo. I just built one in a Silverstone Alta G1M chassis that looks very similar to the corsair in the video 😅
Agreed. Unless you live on a sailboat a tiny house or a HTPC for gaming where every inch counts but you want a powerful gaming PC I'd go mATX. I'm not sure if this is just a proof of concept or a rebuild of the HTPC built a month or so ago with revisions?
Yup, matx is the go to form factor if you want ample room for cable management. I'm not saying itx form factor is not cable management friendly at all. Its just that matx is like the middleground not too big nor too small.
Agreed but I wish there are more small MATX cases.
Change the 3 front fans to exhaust. Help the gpu to intake cooler air and pull air thru the AIO. And the case can spit the hot air out into the room. Something to consider.
Hi, i watched quite many of your Videos by now and i really have to say that you can learn so much from them. As I build my first own pc back in Nov 23, your videos were a good and big part for the project.
I love the content, keep it up!
Best regards from Germany ✌️
Great build Greg 👍😇!
As an ITX builder for over a decade now I can attest to the frustrations and costs associated with an ITX build 😱🤯. Saying that thou, as with multiple case builds under my belt, over the past 25years or so, you learn tweaks, shortcuts, hacks etc to minimise hassles with a pc build, especially with an ITX pc🥰🥳👍.
I personally too remove dust filters on all my builds for ~15years now with the exception of psu dust filters as I use one of the dust blowers for pc every 6 or so months to keep it mostly clear and cool.
damn that 5700g is gonna be chilly with a 360mm xD
Love SFF builds, this was the first one I've seen in this case so thanks for showing it to us!
I'm a huge proponent of SFF and mITX builds - I have 3 lmao. 2 built with the NZXT H1 V2 case (one white and one black), and my main one built in the same case Greg showcased in this video in white.
Another great build. Thanks.
Another great video Greg. Happy new year to you and your family.
I thought about building in it, but I came to some of the same conclusions as you did. I'm still in the hunt. You guys put out some great submissions and offer a lot of choices.
What a beautiful case and a very nice build.
Bit exciting with a itx case that can hold a 360 aio.
Definetly a case i would consider for a itx build :D
Yeah, I went with the Meshlicious and getting it's configuration just right for my hardware took several test fits to get it perfect. I have mine sideways in the entertainment center like you do. This looks nice because the Meshy is much more limited on length. Though I feel like sideways in the only use case that would make sense to me personally, or you just have to be an ITX enthusiast, and want this as your main system.
Great looking ITX system!
I mainly build itx gaming PC's because of the space it saves. I like the look of this case. Will have to try a build in one. Just finished my itx build in a thermaltake tower 100.
I just built my new PC in this same case, though I went with an air cooler and somehow managed to cram a BeQuiet Dark Rock TF2 into it. For the other fans, I did Corsair iCue link fans, 3 120s up front and 2 140s on the side, spread to top and bottom. It was a challenge, but works well.
I like the look of it, aside from the weird power cable routing. I would consider this case if I needed something for a mini-ITX board.
great little build Greg. Not usually a fan of these smaller form factor cases but this looks sweet
Sir Salazar, thank you for your content!
Take a look at the Rajintek Metis Plus. It is an interesting little case when set up correctly, very small and a clean look from the outside. The glaring issues with it are to replace the plexi side panel with cage or grid, and reverse the rear fan for intake if you leave one there at all.
Greetings Greg, stay safe and love your home videos.
Im not a fan of the power cable solution and lack of carry handle. Ive been very happy with my Hyte Revolt 3. 5800X3D, 3080 FTW3 and temps are never an issue
I really liked building in the Revolt 3 too.
That looked SUPER difficult😅 appreciate your honesty even with sponsored content, voicing your dislike of psu situation etc.
I use the meshlicious/meshroom which is very similar. I use it because, yes it is tall, but it takes up very little actual space on your desk.
Greg. Awsome content. I love how you do this for free.
Thank you Greg i have found the perfect case to pair beside the Monstrous 1000D it'll be my back up rig since i got a insane deal on a 12900KS ill make a wee lil pc next to the main rig which houses 16 Gentle typhoon fans and a 5950x lol.
On a side note: That watch is beautiful! Almost as beautiful as the build ;).
We need more videos from you Greg.
I just think that case is gorgeous.
I am currently doing a build in the Asus Z11 case. It's an absolute nightmare! I wish my customer would have bought this case instead but he wants a build in the Asus case. As always, Greg, great video and super clean build! Wish me luck!
I’ve always thought the 2000D was a bit “comically large” for ITX, but to be fair to Corsair, if you wanted to go ITX there’s not really a good way to get a 360mm AIO
Didn't know that you can place standard size in the front. Thought only 15 MM would fit. Freaking cool build.
Really I wish they would just bring back the Vengeance C70 (my favorite case they ever made and did a Reverse ATX mod with one back in 2014).
You know what the D stands for in Corsair range of airflow D cases?
It's stands for Dust... Lots of Dust
Nice Rolex Greg!! 😎
I have this exact same case in white, and there's plenty of room for a 360mm AIO. I have 3 Arctic 120mm ARGB PWM fans on front for intake and a be quiet! Pure Loop 2 FX 360mm AIO on the side for exhaust. I'm about to replace the Cooler Master 850W SFX power supply with a new ROG Loki 850W SFX-L power supply that's ATX 3.0 compliant. Yes, it does have the dreaded 12VHPWR connector built in, but I'm future proofing for the upcoming RTX 'Super' cards, namely the 4080 Super if it's within a reasonable price (in CAD, it most likely will be $1,200-$1,400 on launch...)
I wish Corsair would bring back the 220T’s form factor, with their new brand aesthetic. I love that case’s size
I can't imagine there is that big a of an audience for this. I have an ITX rig, but it's a budget cube-style case.
7:01… you sound like Bob Ross right here. I was waiting for you to say “now, let’s put a little tree over here…” 🤭
Hi Greg, do check out the Silverstone G1M 😉 same footprint almost that fits an Matx motherboard
That power cable was definitely an after though, put PSU few mm lower and it could be hidden inside. And yeah, for an ITX build it is so huge. If anybody need water cooling, there are smaller cases with 280 radiator support, which should be enough for most CPUs.
I still love my Corsair Obsidian 800D.Its huge compared to the 2000D,but i will never switch to another pc case!
I've kinda wanted to build in that case
Thanks for the video. It would be a nice case however as you mentioned the way they designed how to attach the power cord appears to be an afterthought. It could have been designed to attach in a much better way!
literally just built my pc in a 2000D rgb. I love it
Good place for a case like that is on the floor next to your TV stand if there is no carpet and furry pets around.
That’s a watch you don’t see everyday. Love the Tiffany dial.
Sometimes when you are mentally drained it's best to go ahead and go home relax and start fresh in the morning anyway.
hell yea, silent wings baybeee
I'm an ITX fanboy so you would think that I would be the target market for this but I already have a NR200 case which has a ton of airflow, fits 3 slot/3 fan graphics cards and can fit a 240mm AIO (not that I use one, I have an air cooled setup instead). I can;t see the SFF enthusiasts wanting something that chunky when the NR200 exists, or the high end gamers wanting something that cramped.
This seems just like a Hyte Revolt 3 facelift
I have a MITX computer in a Purple Cooler Master NR200P, with a ryzen 5800x and a rx 6800, had to remove the gpu fans and made the GPU cool with the fans in the bottom of the case, got me 2x Phantek T30 @80% fanspeed and the rx 6800 never goes above 50c not even @2400mhz core 😋.
This case size and layout makes sense too, it avoids a big case taking up real estate.
that light blue dial date just is a beauty 😍 is that an aftermarket dial?
Thanks! It’s the original face from 1993. The diamonds were added after-the-fact, but everything else is OG 🫡
I wonder if there's a way to route the power cable within the leftover space by the graphics card. Drill an extra hole in the top and it may work.
Beyond that, I've migrated alot to SFF builds, with the last two being in a CM NR200 and a NZXT H1 v2.
Okay, anybody else curious about that ruler? Where is that from? That looked awesome!
The PSU cable sticking out of the case is goofy but at least some of it is covered by that top panel
The last post got me laughing 😂
Looked this case myself, but I think if you really and this form factor it would be better to go with the SSUPD Meshroom S.
Well it makes sense for a powerful SFF PC. It’s the smallest form factor for a PC with the highest tier of components.
Nice build, the only thing that bothers me is the use of a pcie 4.0 m.2 with a chip that only supports pcie 3.0.
interesting video, but even though the Corsair 2000D can accommodate an AIO up to 360mm or Noctua D15 air cooling, I would still stay with Ssupd Mesroom S, mainly because it is smaller, can accommodate an AIO up to 280mm and, depending on the configuration, ITX, mATX or ATX motherboards and power supplies from SFX to ATX
That's a tight build! 😅
Always a fan of the small factor builds. The build you did looks good but I don’t think I’m a fan of that case, the routing of the PSU cable looks to be an after thought, I’d prefer it to be routed internally.
I’d have been interested in seeing what effect the dust mesh had on the cooling performance under load.
Have you heard of the NCORE 100 max???
I never understood hot air exhausting through a radiator to cool the coolant for the cpu
I like it.
I am surprised the feet on the bottom can't be relocated to the side so you could lay the case horizontally.
Tiffany Blue thang huh? I see ya...shit fly
Noctua PF-12's run 800 rpms slower than the Silent Wings, have up to 71 cfm at 25.1 db. The SW are up to 31.2 db , 76 cfm and cost a bit more. Just saying.
I really like this chassis. I love a PC that looks like a console but I dont want a console...lol.
Probably closer in height to the modded Meshlicious with the hat and feet added. I still think ITX should focus on overal smaller volume and not just the small footprint.
Overall, I like the build.
Are the temps oké ??
Hey Greg, A question, Will Ryzen 7 5700x work well with GTX 1660S?
Can you run this pc with the monitor ported to the motherboard? I have an intel computer and it has integrated graphics. I know if you turn it off it will still run but it feels like a bob cat or a dump truck. lol
Is it for sale?
i bought the msi vampiric 100r. that had a dust filter across the front. i removed mine for better flow. i do get a bit of dust build up but my temps dropped 10c. any future build i will remove that every time. im not a fan of the corsair case ill be honest
Gotta say, Fractal Ridge is almost half the volume but looks way easier to build in.
I'd rather have such a low footprint case compared to a full tower. Desk space is important
i wonder why they don't make shorter cables for such cases. Great build tho.
I can understand that fact that higher end GPU's are getting really huge these days. You need the space to fit them. And a lot of newer CPU's require something much more than the average cooler. You need space for that too. Simple ITX builds are getting not so simple anymore. At this rate, it won't be long until we see ATX cases being the new ITX standard.
This is very easy to build ITX case.
8:23 😂🤣😭☠️
I am still trying to figure out a case
hey greg i sent you post on twitter asking a question if you can help me on my computer its a windows 11 pro the deafualt logo keeps poping up can you help me how to disable it or turn it off
thanks.
360mm AIO on a 5700G is madness 😂
Pack it in tight :)
why not just use SilverStone GD09B and be able to put a dvd drive in it too .... seems more optimal for a media pc
I do like the look of the front with your RGB set to white, it definitely looks different from most builds you see these days. If I were going to lay the case down on it's side, I'd remove the current 'feet', and likely design some to replace them on the side of the case to be printed. Then you could orient the power supply as it's intended to be placed, with the fan out. Not a HUGE deal, but they you wouldn't have to flip the power extension like you did. It'd look more like 'audio gear' with the feet on the 'side' than it will just laying directly on the shelf...
I still wonder what does he do with the PCs he builds? Are they just showcase builds or..
I prefere: Cooler Master MasterBox NR200 Mini ITX with Noctua NH-C14S and GPU can be the size of the TUF 6900 XT
that for me is to small for me i like space in-between the parts to breath even with all them fans on there that is me. anyway well done with the build greg anyway
Not me im just not a fan of itx cases i like to see space not clump but thats just my opinion. But hey it works and smooth. A pc is a pc man.
Looks too easy to knock over, I wouldn't feel safe having it. Just me. LOL God bless you and the family.
Silent Wings 4 are the most beautiful fans on the market
I really do like the look of this case. But, boy, does it look cramped to build in.
who is there target market with this case?
People who like these ITX towers.
Just saying, 5700G with an AIO is overkill since it's a 65w APU, and a 3080 isn't really ideal since 5700G only supports PCIe 3.0.
I like this a lot but I am biased about Corsair stuff, overpriced but quality is always tight with them and I am probably one of the few who really likes iCue and how everything from them works well with it most of the time. Compared to other RGB software from other company's iCue is best of them all imo
Isnt the 5700G gen3 so aren’t you losing speed with the Gen4 SSD…
You started this video with a sky blue dialed watch and it finished with an orange dial watch. From this I deduce that you are likely an avid watch collector. How about a video of you showing off your collection.
