Troubleshooting Help “My Chen Alter/Medic keeps blowing up to the Smarties!” Do one of two things: 1. Check the risks that you take. Did you accidentally take the Smarty ATK up risk? 2. Consider levelling up your single target medic or borrowing a higher level Chen Alter. I recommend Elite 1 Max Level for your medic to heal both herself and Chen enough. “Why does my Smarties not explode like your video?” You most likely took the movement speed risk. It will change the way you play the stage. Remove it.
@@graves9459 phantom can help but that can also fail so the best solution I found is rope up above facing down. As long as you pull at least 1 smarty up then she should survive.
I dont think my E2 LVL 90 M3 chen is suposed to die even with sussuro E1 max keeping her alive. Does M3 on ch'en change some timing? Maybe its killing them too fast and myrtle gets damaged. Distracting the healer.
Amazing guide, I've seen similar strategies but yours is the most detailed so far where you go out of your way to make sure all your viewers understand the mechanics thoroughly and what is going on in each part of the stage. Got my R18W1 medal easily. Thanks for creating such quality content!

I have been struggling and stressing out with this stage for awhile because some of the strategies I've been using was not helping me out at all. Then once I looked your guide at first I didn't get it on the first try because I had to listen to your words carefully, then I had to study the timing and pace to place down of the operators, and most importantly key of all is memory. Slight alterations, but I used Nightingale's barrier to protect C'hen from magic blasts And also, you can skip the second Tile Change near the end if you use Surtr + extra healer or NTR Knight... thus 2 more points (Operator HP down, Firecracker use down)

Finally managed to do it after much frustration haha. For some reason the first Envy would need one more hit to die (Chalter lv70 m3, so judging by the comments should be just fine) but keeping it in the range a little longer with Kafka/Projekt red solved the problem and the rest was smooth sailing. Thanks for the detailed explanations on the enemies and risks, this is really the kind of cheat sheet that teaches something for the future :p

thank you for the guide kukkikaze it worked a lot for me, I tried the other guides at first but none of it worked or it kinda but the timing is off and all of them are using max lvl or max pot with M3 skills so this is really a salvation for dumb doctors like me.
4 optional operators to enhance this strat: Beanstalk - place bottom left facing up to kill all the biteys at the start while generating more dp, replaces kroos Elysium - negates 1 level from the attack speed debuff for up to 15 seconds, plus more dp Nightingale - phantoms tank the phase 2 attacks from Free, no longer have to worry about perfect positioning Phantom - can be used on the smarties to save yourself a fire cracker ( may work with Kafka or red but untested ) If you own any of these it will help raise the risks or just make it easier.
Really simple clear, much more simpler than what I came up with. This time risk 18 was easy, but that last challenge with the Free tag, DP regen and sniper and guard cost was a the REAL pain. Took me a lot of time to do it .

I thought it looked simple, and that means you don't have to take a Chen m3. And that was a big mistake, different damage, different timings, and many things go wrong. But even so, after about 15 tries, it all worked out. Great guide, as always.
If you have trouble with Chalter keeps dying to the smarties, use Nightingale s3 (if you have her) instead of the single target medic. When her/Chalter's skill ends, retreat and replace her with the other medic you brought
I’m beating myself up here, I literally spent all of yesterday and today brute forcing it by killing the Envys before they could attack… never thought of spending that cracker on a blindey instead
I've been going about this all wrong. Grouping up in the center is apparently a bad idea thanks to the Smarties. Even with Ifrit and Blaze I can't do it past a certain risk level. And forget pushers thanks to the Blindeys being too heavy and given Weedy's skill 3 charge time. Update: completed risk 18 doing exactly as you said, but Free died at the exact same time Chalter and Cuora did. I used Blue Poison, Cuora, Ansel, Chalter and Myrtle, with Lancet-2, Bagpipe, Project Red and Utage as supplemental operators, just in case.
I did my run blind and thought it was real hard not letting the smarties blow up so I was brute forcing it. Watching this guide after made me realize I'm overcomplicating this map wayyy too much XD
I've been trying for an hour now but my defender always dies when it comes to the boss's last "revival"(?) and even when I'm trying to replace them, everyone dies, idk what to do:(

just to note if your chen is lower then Id say lvl 50 if probably won't work she cannot kill the first envy I had to lvl my chen to 60 from 40 because she wasn't killing the envys
Guys if ur having trouble on what kind of medic you should bring just take note that its atk is more than 440+ enough to withstand the mini explosions those smarties deal regardless of what type or whoever u bring just pick someone with more than 440+ atk and all will be fine
@@morgan4130 He can actually do the job but... it's a bit tighter coz the amount of healing if 2 or more operators are already hit so ansel might prioritize others and your dps might die or left with 1 hp "luckily" The thing is u gotta time very well when to use his skill for stability I think skill rank 7 might give u a better chance tho I didn't used 3 star healers that time (coz the medics I used that time was kal'tsit , silence and ptilopsis, all E2 ops )

if u take that one, instead of holding boss with gravel, do it with a guard and change the color of the third one in the "change color tile "so it stops with the guard and then explodes
I had the same issue on some of my runs. My Chen was E2 M3 at lvl 55 meanwhile I had Shining E2 and skill 7. My shinning I just E2'd last night so she was only level 1 initially. I had to level my Chen to 60 and my Shining to 18 (low on LMD) to keep her alive and have an easier time.
LOL. I had this problem rn. ChAlter takes out her guns, blasts the Smarties and Free. And the resulting explosions would annihilate her and Sussurro at once. Both are max level. Turns out I took the Smarties ATK+ tag.

@@kukkikaze Was using Warfarin for that. When the two explody guys come out, that's when they are both detonated at the same time, I feel like my Chen is too strong. I'll try it again with Sussurro
@@kukkikaze nope, i managed to beat it. I had to use Sussurros skill when 10 enemies were gone. It turned out that i deployed Gravel a bit too early and she got unalived, so besides the explosions, there was a bulled comming from those big guys at the exact same moment. Finally noticed that, stage was easy after that! Thaks for the great guide. I just wasn't paying attention at Gravel

This strategy does take some test runs for the timing, because if you mistime even a single envy, they just destroy your entire setup.

A friendly tip from a fellow small brain doktah, you can use THRM-EX on the boss in the second stage to help kill him quicker.

I didnt have some of the modifer unlocked so had +60% hp instead of the 5op and lvl 2 smarties modiers which made killing the envy quite hard.

As far as i know, all core unit need at least e2 lvl60 to become the "carry unit" in a team, so that make sense.

You can replace her with multiple bodies, if you understand what I mean by that
i think you can bring 2 fast redeploy, i'm getting risk 16 using E0 Lv1 gravel and projekt red E1. just need a few timing management tho

your medic is not strong enough. Try Silence or Shining so you can survive

The smartys on my runs don't behave like the ones in this video. They don't cleanly blow each other up, two survive.
It is a problem of the speed CC buff effect. If you enable that buff, the smartys dont align anymore. Beware!

I have no idea what i'm doing wrong...my Chen dies instantly to the explosions...She also happens to be E2 lvl 70
That means your medic is the problem, your medic is not healing fast enough for her
@@kukkikaze Was using Warfarin for that. When the two explody guys come out, that's when they are both detonated at the same time, I feel like my Chen is too strong. I'll try it again with Sussurro

@@kukkikaze nope, i managed to beat it. I had to use Sussurros skill when 10 enemies were gone. It turned out that i deployed Gravel a bit too early and she got unalived, so besides the explosions, there was a bulled comming from those big guys at the exact same moment. Finally noticed that, stage was easy after that!
