The January - February Engagement was FILLED with raw power and energy. This video is a perfect example of the above, and are lesser known versions of the four songs featured, as, they were never used for any official album release by RCA or FTD.
This was recently released in Stereo Sound by Memphis Recording Service, and is featured as bonus tracks on CD3 of 'Las Vegas Presents - Elvis - The Early Engagements'. I HIGHLY recommend this CD set to any casual or serious Elvis fan, with these 4 songs justifying it.
It features one of the best versions of Don't Cry Daddy, Let It Be Me, I Can't Stop Loving You and Walk a Mile.

This man was/is a lightning⚡️bolt that stroke planet Earth 🌍 and nothing was the same ever again, no one, and I mean no one can hold a candle to his extraordinary talent, singing voice and ability to convey soul and feelings in every one of his songs.
I love ❤️ EAP, been an ultra-admirer of this man and his music for 59 years (I’m 63) I collected all of his LP’s 45’s 8 tracks and cassettes over the years. R.I.P Elvis 💐…his legacy ensures his immortality.

Amazing .... that more than 50 years later .... this man is touching me like this ......... this brings me back to my youth ... late 70's ..... collecting music fragments wasn't as easy as it is nowadays .... the thrill it gave me when I got hold of a new Elvis LP!!!!!!! You had to order it first at the music store ..... wait for more than 2 months .... they send you a letter by post that your order was received by the music store and you had to travel an hour to get it ... and then back home with your treasure ..... playing the LP the whole evening over and over again ...... that was quite romantic .... that was hapiness .... thank you Elvis for being a part in my life, Adwin
Yes for a man that has been passed for more than 40 or so years he still sings from our radios till as popular as ever with his loyal fans the more I listen to him the more I learn of him his voice was one in a million.. good looks / good voice what a shame he went the way he did and that was down to one person that over worked him to pay for his gambling debts ... I started buying LPs around 1980 (12 years old) and had to ride on my bicycle either 4 or 10 kms to the two record shops where i came most. Back home with the treasure under my coat or in a plastic bag .... Just bought what was availlable, which was not a problem after his death. There was quite a collection in the stores most of the time.
All the equipment I bought, was just for listening Elvis.... and still is for the most

what a great voice elvis had, there will never be another elvis, greatest voice charisma stage presence and human being that ever performed live, best backing band , drummer, guirtarists musicians and backing band ever, the voice of a Angel and the range of a opera singer, how we all wished he was still with us, he had still so much more he could of achieved, how we all wish is health never let him down, and when you think about it, he was over worked so hard by is so called colonel, perhaps had he not worked him so hard, he would never of had needed the prescription uppers and downers he needed to keep working , i truly believe god as him singing to the Angels now, as he had the voice of one, it was if every song he sang he was singing to you personally, god bless you and treasure you, simply the greatest entertainer live that ever took to the stage, thank you fore the joy you brought into the world

I have old home videos of me that my mom and dad recorded on vhs of me when I was 2 years old trying to sing and act just like Elvis. I was a teenager in a stage show in the 1970’s and suddenly Jailhouse Rock was going to be on TV that Saturday night. There were no video recorders or DVD’s back then so if you missed it you missed it. So I tried to fake the flu but the producer wasn’t buying i,t so I had to perform that night and miss the film.

True, but I do think most of it has been released especially the Feb 18-19 stuff on the 'On Stage' 2 CD FTD, I can make a review of it if you like once it arrives! There's no review of it on RUclips and I'd love to promote his Jan-Feb season.
They released all his 70 live stuff in various packages Sony Legacy, FTD under various titles using On Stage and That’s the Way it is in the Titles not in one 1970 Vegas package like they did with 1969 but it’s all their if you buy the separate packages Both 69-70 were stellar concert years perhaps his best outside of 56 were the technology couldn’t capture a live record well unless it was also TV audio which was in a more controlled environment.

I think after 2 years in Vegas , he was ready and more than able to perform world wide, boredom and monotony set in sadly , he became caught up with another noose around his neck as had previously happened with his movie obligations.
Elvis had an open and inquisitive artistic and philosophical mind, it needed nourishing not stifling, his master, sorry manager never seemed to realise that.

For sure! This was one of the best seasons on Vegas BY FAR with AMAZING material and Elvis having a blast on stage.
I agree with you, his manager never seemed to realized how much potential Elvis had by himself. For example, whenever Elvis chose against Colonel, it always turned out to be a FANTASTIC decision, for example: The 68 Special, Aloha; and many more.
