Sasha Cohen - Age 10 - December 16th, 1994 - Costa Mesa Ice Capades Chalet Holiday Show

One of my favorites skaters from an early age was Sasha Cohen. Sasha started as a gymnast at an early age then at the age of seven switched to figure skating. This video was shot by my company Hurd Video Productions December 16th, 1994 at the Costa Mesa Ice Capades Chalet. Sasha had been skating for three years when this video was recorded. Even at this age it was apparent that she definitely had the "It Factor." Her artistry, flexibility and connection to the music on the ice were always a joy to me personally any many other skating fans. I've been professionally recording figure skaters since 1989 and Sasha is one of my top three favorites. Enjoy this look back at this gifted artist. © 1994 and ©2020

She has the potential when she was young . Unfortunately the stress of competition and being in demand can have its opposite effects. But when she’s starting to sprout some real talent, finding the right coach to help bring Sasha to new heights can be a challenge.
