But you shot it beautifully with coffee and convinced me to give it a try. I soaked the almonds last night and I'm having them now with my morning coffee. I have slowly started eating more and more healthy foods about 3 years ago and now I am used to eating healthy almost completely and the process of that was not easy but it was worth it. When you do things slowly, you form a habit. Same with a workout. I still need to work on being consistent with the workout though haha.

Coming from a culture where values noon napping, but never understood the importance of it, I had to say realizing it just last year has been a game changer. I realized back then ai didn’t see how helpful it is becos I napped too long, more than an hour. It got counterproductive. Thanks to (I have to say) lockdown, I got chance to work from home. The company where I interned really encouraged employees to take 15-min rest when feel tired. One day, I got so so sleepy in the afternoon that I couldn’t hold it anymore. I put the timer on for exactly 15 mins. And I have to tell you, I woke up feeling like a whole new me. Just like that it become my routine for almost a year until I work for another company and gotta back to office. I envy so much many companies out there they even have napping areas for employees. Had I ever founded a company, I would def. do that for my people. Seriously, napping is so so underrated in corporate world. For me tips are: 1. Only nap when you feel need it the most, regardless of time. When you feel like your eyes couldn’t hold it anymore. 2. Only 15 mins, neither more nor less.

Amongst nuts, almonds are especially rich in fibre (12% by weight), and antioxidant polyphenols. However, these are almost entirely found in the skins, so would suggest not peeling them (just my suggestion, and of course do whatever you prefer).

love the almond soaking tip, I'm trying it right now! Just a piece of information you might find interesting: the word "riposo" actually means "rest" in Italian, and not "nap". Possible terms for "nap" may be riposino, sonnellino, pisolino or pennichella...but all of these are rather colloquial, for some reason it is not considered elegant or appropriate to talk about naps in Italy 😅 it's a habit we've almost competely lost, possibly because of our long, nonstop workdays 😐
