Honestly respect to Minx and Harry Mack. To be brand new to something like chess but be willing to put yourself out there with so many people watching and judging you is a very brave thing to do. It’s so easy to sit here and criticize their play and question their decisions but lets remember they chose to put themselves out there and compete in this tournament knowing they could get embarrassed all for our entertainment. Massive respect to both of them and all the other brand new players in this Pogchamps.

Not gonna lie, I've had games at a >1000 rating where I declined a Botez gambit the move immediately after moving my pawn to threaten the queen. It's easy to understand a beginner tunnel-visioning and missing a good move.

The sad thing though is that I get the feeling that Minx assumed she would lose both matches - so when she somehow pulled off a draw in the first game she was okay with losing the second game, and that's why she was just vibing despite the game going so badly. I'm very glad she did win that second game. She and Harry are the same rating and I can only assume there is some degree of misogyny at play for why everybody, Minx included, assumed the man would win this match.
Please never bring this girl back.
