  • I was thrilled to have the opportunity to unbox this collection that ended up having a value well in excess of $5,000... I'm thrilled to see the final value that all the items bring! Curious what that will be... my guess could be anywhere from $7,000-$11,000, but maybe I'm a little too excited about what's in front of us. In any case, sit back, enjoy this unboxing, and if you have more information on any of the items I struggled with, don't hesitate to leave a comment!

This is a realy wild mix of coins from all ages, materials, sizes and price tags. I'd be as excited as you, digging through them. Thank you Christian, for sharing your journey and learning curve, especially of world coins. Greetings from Germany

Very nice assortment of quality world coins. I assume that this guy travelled a lot, had a nice income and spent a pretty penny at different coin shops and markets. Bummer that he didn´t start a "real" collection, with his means that would have been a great one. Greets from GER, U.
P.S. 14:30 These are 10 centimes 1812 from "Koenigreich Westphalen" (Hannover, parts of Prussia and Hessen), a short living "kingdom" under the rule of one of Napoleon´s relatives, Hieronymus Napoleon. His nick name was "Koenig Lustig" (funny king).

I would love to have a collection like that...but I think there's a good chance that those Chinese coins are real, just the sound they made when you were taking them out of the bag sounded like silver to me

the really confusing thing is that Caracalla and Elagabalus were all called Marcus Aurelius Antoninus so the only way to really tell them apart is to look for facial features and whatnot

1880 S Morgan looked more like a MS63 or 64 on a good day. The PL reverse was nice but the cheek and fields of the obverse were very baggy. Also 80' S is a tougher graded year, a lot of the 79-82 S minted coins came very nice and lustrous making the graders need to be more conservative through those years.

Pretty sure the China republic coins are fake, if they're not 2.5 mm thick x 39 mm diameter, then they aren't real, but they could still have some silver content

Those rubles are from the SOVIET UNION, not Russia. It's not the same. That's like to compare the United Kingdom and England, which are also not the same. You're ignorant.
