This WORKS! I was from Page 4 to now Page 1 one (number 7) by just using key words as you said. Thanks for the amazing work!
Damn! After re-structuring my description, I went from 2nd/3rd page (sometimes the bottom of the 1st, depending on the key words I typed in) to straight First result of the first page. Mind you, there seem to be a couple more factors that are considered (maybe they were not at the time the video was recorded, don't know), such as 1) Job success (definitely a crucial one), 2) Response time, and 3) Feedback (maybe also the tests taken and the results, but not sure about this one). I am quite good in these categories anyway, so this definitely helped, but still - with all these, and prior to rebuilding my description, I ranked much lower, so thank you John

I am not sure about the fist thing but your upwork profile will show up on google, unless your profile is set to private.

This doesn't work :( I am a Hebrew translator named nitay levi. I added "Hebrew translator" twice to Profile and nothing changed on my location when I search "Hebrew translator".

Are your courses mainly for developers??? What about copywriters?
I've got people from all sorts of industries who have had success with the course. The examples I use are often dev-related, but the ideas and processes are universal.

Definitely still relevant. They can't really change it fundamentally because its purpose remains (and must remain) the same: match clients with the best freelancers for their project. The only thing it's done is get more sophisticated and better at doing that.
@@john.morris That's great. You know how sometimes they adjust the algo to throw people off who are gaming it but yeah what you say makes perfect sense. Thank you.
Yeah, theirs is a bit different than Google's, because Upwork always has job history to fall back on. So, I don't think they worry about it so much. You can game the system, but, at some point, you're gonna have to do actual client work. And, if you can't deliver, you'll be exposed and you'll plummet in their rankings. So, they don't really get too worked up about it.
