@AlexGetsAroundTO I mean, there are no strobes, so that's a dead giveaway initially to disregard it without the message. I probably would've put headphones back in probably not notice the message.
i was there when the alarms went off today. I thought i heard it say an armed robbery because it was loud so i couldnt really hear. I also never seen that before.
Ok… You should come to Sweden, we also have those ringing fire alarms at our schools, we have drills every week… You are surely getting jumped if you are not aware
Try coming to square one the alarm as well and everytime u go to square one the fire alarm goes off there all the time sometimes and I was at square one last week on Saturday and the fire alarm sets off and usually crazy teens just accidentally pull it just to make fun cuz security doesn't care and they just do it for the fun of it
I think there should be strobes in that area in the beginning of the video, like, if someone was in that area who couldn’t hear, and it went off, they wouldn’t know there could be an emergency.
I was at the food court when this happened today. No one cared, we just sat and ate as normal lol. Ironically, there was also a fire alarm when I was at dufferin mall a few days ago
Lol yup. Yorkdale seriously needs to invest in some better speakers though, it was so hard to understand what was said Also, why didn’t they have an actual human to at least clarify what’s happening? I don’t want like when the shooting happened years ago, that was when they took security and cameras seriously. We don’t need an actual fire that burns half the mall until they improve fire safety
"Attention, please. Attention, please. May I have your attention? There is a fire alarm activation in the building. Please stand-by. Be prepared to exit the building upon further instructions.”
Same with square one it's expensive to as well and once you go there it's busy and when ever you r at square one you can hear the fire alarm go off at square one I was there last Saturday and the alarm went off
Sounds like someone isn't picking up the phone lol.
This happened yesterday when I finished watching a movie. I was so scared!
Hi Alex! Hope you stay safe from that fire alarm at Yorkdale.
Nothing happened, it stopped ringing shortly after I ended the video
Sounded like a phone ringing at the beginning without the announcement I'd probably wouldn't think much of it.
That’s exactly how I thought of it

Sounds more like a regular telephone 😅
Same thing happened to me just yesterday at yorkdale, not sure if it was an accident but who knows.
Bro, why does it sound like that?
I have been to Yorkdale when I travel to Toronto:) never heard the fire alarms go off there tho!
Thanks for watching!
When I was a little girl we were at the Disney store at Eaton centre but I almost got a heart attack because of my first time hearing the fire alarm.
Dang

I like this sound more than the "screechy" alarms.😀
Yeah those ones creeped me out and probably still do
Awesome video I love getting stuff like that on camera

Interesting alarm.
The bells are on slow march time

Hi Alex I hope it is a fire alarm testing

I was at the food court when this happened today. No one cared, we just sat and ate as normal lol.

What’s the message after it says “Please standby?” It’s hard to understand.
I couldn’t hear it either
"Attention, please. Attention, please. May I have your attention? There is a fire alarm activation in the building. Please stand-by. Be prepared to exit the building upon further instructions.”
and the worst place to be at that time is the bay lol
lol
I can't believe that people were still walking around, minding their own business like the alarm wan not going off.

I would rather have that, then the one I have in my building
