a little correction the DSG started with the MK5 r32 on the AWD models, the MK4 r32 had a conventional manual. also the MK2 golf Rallye was first AWD performance golf in the late 80s... nice review. i love my MK7R too.

The walk through history was good, the video quality was good and so was the choice of words. The problem is you were speaking of the cargo space is being compromised 3:21 but there is no visualization on the storage capacity in comparison to the GTI. Also was expecting a view of most of the features that the golf R offers. On the bright side this is a big improvement from the previous videos. Finished without skipping. Good job.

Hi. An Ok review on the vw platforms. However, What Platform STI are you comparing this to? Apples to apples comparison...the philosophy of this vs what Subaru or even what Mitsubishi with their evolution are is totally different IMO....

Thanks best review ever, however I got a question unlike the A4, I have not heard you say anything if there is anything wrong with the current 7R? Are all the components ok no issues once you buy it?
Just be sure to service the DSG and the Haldex (4-Motion) system at the manufacturer’s directed mileage/time (or sooner), and you shouldn’t have too much trouble. And the usual stuff; let the engine warm up sufficiently before you give it the beans, proper lubricants, appropriate revving for your DSG shifts and so on.
