When I had the "It's Alive" quest selected in the log and then went to the galaxy map, the "current mission" selection lead me to the systems with robots :D
You saved my expedition kind Traveler - I used your tip to find all three. Clicked the log for the first set, followed the green line and boom - Scoped out the planets and found them. After that I warped to a new system to clear the way point, clicked the log and repeated the previous steps. Thanks again!!!
Just saying it again here, you will have an easy time finding them in RED systems over blue. It must be a stationless system. Red systems spawn the most exotic planets. Exotic planets have the highest rate of spawning robots if there are more than one exotic planet in the system. It requires less work to get there than blue systems. Also, there are several red systems near rendezvous 2 that have robots.
Select the mission, and the tips in the lower right corner tell you blue. The galactic map will also lead you to systems, and when you warp in will also tell you if there is a planet or not. It won't tell you which planet, but the patch apparently has a lot more handholding now.
@@john_in_phoenix that’s true, it does say blue, but as someone who collects robots, that’s just not true. Red is quicker and costs less resources to get there.
@@MindlessFocus I don't doubt you, but this expedition apparently changed a lot. It also isn't the first time they've changed things (like the refiner recipe for deuterium).
I jumped to systems that had no lifeforms detected when filtered by lifeform empty ones show up as white stars a few jumps and eventually got first planet then it auto directed me to the 2nd system for the last scan I needed
I just used the mission tracker to find them. In the galaxy map, if you have that mission selected and you choose "current mission" instead of expedition, it will guide you straight to a system that has them.
36:33 You don't have to land to see the number of fauna species on a planet. After descending into the atmosphere, after you hear the chime indicating that you're officially in that planet's atmosphere, you can view the "exploration guide" mission on your "logs" tab and it will tell you how many fauna species there are. This way you can save your time and launch fuel.
I noticed last night when looking for robotic animals, the right hand lower corner tips were surprisingly helpful. Select the mission and it told you blue systems, and the galactic map on current mission would lead you to a system. Obviously you needed the indium drive, but when warping into the system it lead you to, it would tell you if there was a planet with robotic lifeforms. 3 systems and 9 planets later later I was done with that mission.
just a tip, you’ll probably want to get a sentinel ship for this expedition. you need to warp around a lot, and you start with a shuttle which has terrible maneuverability so its very helpful
if you're looking for cadmium, emeril or indium if you highlight it in the catalogue then it will show you a system it can be found in when you're in the star map.
I found if going further along following in the Mission path you are sent to systems that have the other elements needed. I had to back track some, but got it done. Also filter for current mission, making sure you have it selected as mission for robot animals, will lead you to some.
In the mission "It's Alive" I had to travel close to travel to TWO of those planets; roughly 700 light years apart. Both planets had a maximum robotic life form total of on Two (2). Bit shout out to @kyralynn for their input about the mission selected with the galaxy map!!! Loving this community!
I totally forgot that those Warp Drives are class based and you only needed 1 to have access to all 4 different coloured Star Systems. Speaking of Star Systems, if you are struggling to find the Robot Creatures - *Look For **_RED Star Systems_* not just Blue. These creatures are most likely found on Exotic Planets, and *RED Star Systems* have a weight of 3 when it comes to those planets compare to 1 for Yellow & Green and 2 for Blue. Look for Hexagonal, Light Beams, Boney, Pillars, Mechanical... anything that sounds weird to be a planet is an Exotic Planet. Once you land there, check your Creature Panel in the Quick Menu to see if the bait is ONLY Ion Batteries. If it is not that, you need to search for another one. If it is only that, check the Planet's Fauna in the Menu, 2 is the magic number. So you realistically only need a Cadnium Warp Drive, but it is great to have access to all 4 Star Systems + you'll only need to fully complete its Fauna catalog almost twice to get that quest done. Basically, "It's Alive" is practically A Lie. To be fair, this expedition like the Omega one is mainly there to teach new players the game's mechanics. Even the game directs you to systems that has those creatures. But as a good note for those wanting to see robot creatures and have them as companions in their main saves... Think Red, Think Weird and 2 is the Magic Number.
I'm still doing my first adrift run but nearly done. Waited a really long time to make bread and now that I did I realized I could have used the bread for a jetpack boost to help me get my 1600u high thing. May be a good tip for your other viewers who are new to the game like me.
this phase earked the he-ll out of me because the system waypoint toke me to only had TWO synth animals in it, I had to jump to another system and check three planets before I found another "empty" world with synth animals.
Maybe it was mentioned, but someone made a base with lit up tiles that says FREIGHTER with an arrow pointing to the rendezvous. Pretty neat, it actually helped me locate the crashed freighter from the air.
Jason, you did pass a Diso system , you scrolled way to fast and missed it (4:32) and it required you to have your Emiril Drive installed FYI. System is called Hamuro
I went to a red system to gather cadmium so I could install the Emeril warp engine upgrade and the first planet I landed on had synthetic lifeforms. It was Roeze XIV in the Urasam-Limasa III system. Needless to say I was surprised to see them, but since there were only two lifeforms there, I warped to another nearby red system, Bamisa, and found the rest that I needed on Cephege IX. I never went to a blue system, I never even made it to a green one. In fact, I still don't even have the Emeril and Indium drives installed.
Way back near the first rendezvous a system will be highlighted for the robot animals when you have the mission selected. And it will point to another close one after you get them in the first system.
There is a bug on switch where there are invisible stairs on the pirate dreadnought in the bridge that should not be there. I was wondering if it was on another platform.
For me i selected the mission then went to the starting system, it gave me a marker to a nearby blue system and then another after i scanned both robo deer in the first one
Do you know what systems to find natural burial sites because I'm struggling with that part of the expedition Because the solar system that it told me to go they weren't there it just says no suitable dig sites in current system
I can't finish this expedition . everytime i tryto getto ren 4 which is next for me. Its not there in the galaxy map. I follow the expedition path and it ends in some planet that's not marked as rendevous and its just not there!!!!!! I have tried for 3 days now
I used an emergency scanner and it triggered an interaction with a sentinel ship. i had to follow it to a distressed signal coordinate and it was a crashed sentinel. but the odd thing was that while there was a player base right by it, there was also a "merchant" Gek wandering around. when i interacted with him, it has the option to negotiate for his ship, which appeared to be the same as the crashed sentinel. i was still able to collect the brain, go do that and ultimately claim the sentinel (which disappeared while i was still there when the merchant left) but it was back (no Gek) after i harmonized the brain. only a B-class, but quite the upgrade from the original shuttle i had lol AND it completed the crashed ship mission since i hadn't found one of those yet lol
Had completed all 4 phases was on phase 5. My ps4 crashed and went into a safe mode loop I just managed to resolve the issue downloading again so I can continue the expedition
I have a quick question. Is there any way to upgrade multitools and ships outside of expedition rewards? All the space stations are dead and it can't be done at the anomaly. I messed up my first opportunity and am now stuck with an underwhelming MT. thanks
You can get multitools from Monoliths & Minor Settlements sometimes. My first run, I bought two MTs as I use 1) scanner/miner 2) weapon 3) terrain manipulator set up on my hot buttons. Use Sig Boost for local buildings to find minor settlement.
Ps: for the 1600 u climb mission here's how i did it. System: Iizawaji VI (vykeen system) (near phase 2 randevouz point i think) Planet: Muelty Delta Coord (approx): -40.92, +93.14 Near that coord there will be a huge plataeu. On top of it there will be a tower of walls and platform. It was built by another player, I accidently found it and I've finished it (almost). After 1530 u , climb will be tricky because I've built walls wherever the gamd allowed me to. Also this planet has fire storms which will boost your jetpack so it is a good candidate. anyone know how to get a bunch of Nanites in the expedition
Complete animal catalogue in a planet without worms or too many underground animals. 13 animal planet should do the job
Also, farm larval cores and refine them for 50 nanites per core. Or find a dissonant world and collect & refine radiant shards and inverted mirrors.
Freighter gives Tainted Metal. Eggs give Larval Cores. Worms give egg things. Refine these. Sentinels give glass ...
