You’re so brave, Catherine! Surgery must be so scary, and you handled everything so well! Wishing you the best for your recovery and I’m very excited to follow your wellness journey! ♥️
Thank you for documenting your journey Catherine, it’s a very brave step and losing weight is extremely difficult, it’s difficult for those have never had a weight issue to understand just how frustrating it is to have tried just about everything and to still be told “eat less move more”. It’s such a ridiculous phrase and shows no understanding of the problem. I wish you every success and really look forward to following your WeightLoss journey, it’s not an easy fix but you have such a positive and detailed understanding of the process that there is no doubt you will be successful 😀

Wow you are so brave a felt the pain for you when you where walking with the gas. I have had some medical battles in life and it’s the recovery that’s gets you but you are a trooper. Thanks for sharing your journey with us. This will be a blessing to someone else who is going through it or thinking about this type of surgery as well.
Catherine, you are my hero. For so many reasons. But as a fellow Aries, you go for it. Sending you positive healing prayers and hugs and just everything great as you heal and regain your stride.
Thank you for sharing, Catherine! My sister (10+ years post-op) and many of my friends has had this done and it has completely changed their lives for the better. I wish you a quick and smooth recovery and am looking forward to your journey. Keep up the great work and take care!!!

The three original are the pomelo, the citron (Citrus medica) and the mandarin orange (Citrus reticulata). Don't know if they're common in all parts of Europe, but here in Italy it's quite common by now. I like it so much because is a little less acidic than others citrus fruits, and doesn't cause me stomach burnings XD Anyway! Honestly I'm sorry you had to go to another country to have your surgery done. My partner did a sleeve gastrectomy the last month and was able to do it in the little town we live in (we're Italian, and my town have about 34.000 inhabitants). He went to a private hospital to a bariatric surgeon, but in Italy they're almost always affiliated with the National Health System (private healthcare isn't so much of a thing here, so they must be affiliated, otherwise they would have so few patients!) and he spent around 500€ in clinical tests at this private hospital. This only because the surgeon told him that if he was able to make them all in about 2 weeks he would be able to do it just after those. If he had been less in a hurry he would have been able to do all the tests for less than 100€ in the public ones, but the wait would have been quite longer since it isn't an emergency (some months, probably, to do all the tests). Hope you'll be happy with your surgery and progress! My partner lost about 20 kgs in just one month! :D Beyond this there are so many other things that got better, like his energy, his mobility, his stress about food, especially now that he's found a good psychologist to talk to about his traumas and relationship with food and a good nutritionist to follow him with a good diet to help to maintain the weight loss :D He's so happy and he's making so many plans for the future, like buy a bike, go walking outside, and rethink all his global look :D

I’m so excited for you!! Glad everything went smoothly. You mentioned in the beginning that you weren’t sure if you were going to get gastric sleeve or gastric bypass. By your description, I’m assuming you went through bypass. I was wondering if you could tell us why the recommended that to you and also your choice behind it. My sister is set to get the sleeve this year and I’m considering getting weight loss surgery as well and I’d love to know more about that part of your experience. ❤️
I literally decided half a hour before going down for my surgery 🤣 The reason being is the Bypass is seen as 'The Gold Standard' in the bariatrics community, its been around and studied for alot longer, initially Iwas put off by the nutritional/malaabsorption side but as long as I keep up with my vitamins I should be totally fine! Also I suffered from heartburn/reflux and quite alot of patients can suffer badly from the sleeve, the bypass also has better weight loss outcomes in the longrun! I hope this helps! Its always best to consult your surgeon/doctor though because everyone is different, I was approved for both surgerys!
@@catherinekayy thank you! That was very informative. My sister still hasn’t made up her mind 100%. They also told her of an option for a second operation later on if she gets the sleeve where they redirect the intestines ... it’s called the SADI. I’m excited to see your results. 😊
Wow, so super proud of you and happy that you are doing alright after surgery. I cried a bit. It feels like you are sort of a friend I've never met in real life. Thank you for sharing your story! Wishing you good luck and lots of strength and love!

Oh my god this reminds me of when I had endometriosis surgery. I was also pumped up with gas and the next day the nurse was like, "Once you've passed some gas, buzz me and you can have apple juice!" I live in Japan and I'm not fluent in Japanese so I buzzed the nurse later and said, "Umm...I farted!" and she was like, "Great job!" 😂
Ahhahaha 😂😂😂😂🌷🌷🌷 this made me giggle so much! Hahahaha I had pain for around 5/7 days cause I’ve always had a problem with burping so it took AGES to come out hahaa

Hi lovely, I've been researching where to get my WSL for a while now and Nords 100% seems like a front runner. I'm just struggling with raising the funds, I know there is a referral discount. Do you know how much this is? Thank you for sharing your story. Its definitely elevated some anxiety xxx
I am in the US and researching bariatric surgery. Here in the US, you are on clear liquids for like a week following surgery. Interesting how they do things differently. Did you have VSG or bypass?
Am enjoying watching your journey and wishing you all the best. Roughly what is the cost in pounds for the operation and does that include all the blood tests you had etc? (hope you don't mind my asking)
Hello Catherine my name is Alex and i attended the exact same clinic you did, i returned a week ago after my gastric sleeve operation. The thing i've struggled with so far is eating a little to quick and i feel crapy for a little while after. how is your weight loss going ? and do you have any tips for me ?
I have stalled at the moment, I am near my goal weight now so its coming off very very slowly! Just stick to the guidelines, it goes very very fast! I also have a few videos and q&a on my channel about my experience 🌸 good luck in your journey!
Hi- you mention in the beginning that you hadn´t decided yet what kind of surgery suits better. So I assume due to your Video title that you choosed Gastric Bypass or Mini gastric Bypass? No Sleeve? Maybe I overheard but I couldn´t hear anything addional in your video reg. your decision. Thanks though for sharing :-D
Yes I opted for the Bypass around 30 mins before going under ahhaha, what swayed me was the amount of weight I had to lose, and the fact that the sleeve had slightly more revision to bypass rates
Yes I went private with nord bariatrics, I was researching surgeons in the UK, Turkey, Egypt and Europe, and I actually was reccomended Nords by a local lady, and followed a few people on insstagram who had great experiences, so after researching the professor and surgeons I decided to take the leap to go here!
Don't be surprised if you actually shrink after surgery. My friend shrunk like 2 inches after losing over 100lbs. I heard there's extra fat on the heels of the foot or something. I always thought I was 5'2 but I was 5'3 during my pre-op appointment. I wonder if I'll shrink a bit.

I’m so glad you document this, I wish you a successful recovery & good luck on this journey. I’m been considering this surgery.
Oh wow, you are so brave especially travelling to another country for surgery. I was excited to watch this vlog, but part way through my medical phobias started kicking in 😅 also Lithuania looks stunning, thanks for showing inside the supermarket, that's one of my favourite things too see when travelling. I hope you are resting up and recovering well 💕💕
Oh no I’m so sorry! 🌷 I hope you enjoyed the little bits you seen!
@@catherinekayy oh no, it's my bad. I did, it's very interesting to see how a medical procedure works through watching vlogs. I just watched the latest vlog too. I hope you're recovering well, I can't even imagine eating baby food for days on end 😄
It's very funny that I will be having my gastric bypass sugery next Thursday here in Kenya Nairobi, but will be done by a professor Maleckas from Nord clinic. So I pray he travels safe to Africa to do my bypass :) I wish you a safe recovery.

Those are pomelo :) sweeter than grapefruit. Hope you are recovering well from surgery
that is my fave flavour of Kombucha!!
@@catherinekayy I’m the burping queen so luckily I got that gas out quickly. It’s no joke though!! I had bad pains in the shoulder area 😫
I wondered if you would share what makeup you use? I would never guess you struggle with Rosacea based on how your skin usually looks! I struggle with the same thing and have never figured out how to cover it so well. I don't need a full tutorial, just the names of the product(s) would be great. Thank you!
Of course, I use the estee lauder double wear foundation and the collection 2000 concealer! I hope this helps hehe
Great video xx
I had bypass in 2010 I’ve kept over 100 pounds off for over a decade. At my smallest I’d lost 140 but have been at my current weight for greater than 5 years. Good luck!
ETA: we have the same starting point I was 283 starting and I converted 20 stone 4 to be 284!
wow that is AMAZING 😍 this gives me so much inspiration! Thank you so so much for sharing this really does mean the world!
Catherine, I’ve watched this vlog literally 5 times… I’m in the process of booking one for myself and I’m terrified. I feel sick with worry… on camera you appear so confident, how did you do that? Were you scared really. I’m scared of the camera down throat… the whole lot. I desperately need to lose weight. Any advice for me about your experiance?
Girlfriend you are amazing! WooHoo! You should be very proud!!
I had the bypass 🥹🌸
Am enjoying watching your journey and wishing you all the best. Roughly what is the cost in pounds for the operation and does that include all the blood tests you had etc? (hope you don't mind my asking)
I think it cost around £6000/£6400 for everything including flights accommodation and food ect! 🥹🌸🙏
I also have a few videos and q&a on my channel about my experience 🌸 good luck in your journey!
thanks for the reply Catherine i was able to find your other video's which have been a help@@catherinekayy
Hey Cath! I love seeing you getting results when losing weight! It's difficult but keep going! New buddy to your channel! Let us get big together!
Thanks for sharing and glad it went smoothly 💗
Hi- you mention in the beginning that you hadn´t decided yet what kind of surgery suits better. So I assume due to your Video title that you choosed Gastric Bypass or Mini gastric Bypass? No Sleeve? Maybe I overheard but I couldn´t hear anything addional in your video reg. your decision. Thanks though for sharing :-D
Yes I opted for the Bypass around 30 mins before going under ahhaha, what swayed me was the amount of weight I had to lose, and the fact that the sleeve had slightly more revision to bypass rates
Hi Catherine, are you affiliated with Nord Clinic or did you just find them through research? Best of luck with your healing xx
i found them through research! 😍. They were actually recommended to me by someone locally and I followed a few people who has used nords!
Why did you go to Lithuania? Did you go private? I'm desperate to get this surgery Catherine did you use a medical company in the UK to organise it?
Yes I went private with nord bariatrics, I was researching surgeons in the UK, Turkey, Egypt and Europe, and I actually was reccomended Nords by a local lady, and followed a few people on insstagram who had great experiences, so after researching the professor and surgeons I decided to take the leap to go here!
Don't be surprised if you actually shrink after surgery. My friend shrunk like 2 inches after losing over 100lbs. I heard there's extra fat on the heels of the foot or something.
I always thought I was 5'2 but I was 5'3 during my pre-op appointment. I wonder if I'll shrink a bit.
oOoooo what the heck, imagine if I got shorter hahah that would be crazy I didn't know that!
You're so Adorable and
Beautiful 🌸✨🌸✨🌸
