  • One of the problems with the Jeep Wrangler is the lack of cupholder and usable interior storage. Jeep switched to Net Pocket doors instead of Plastic one's in 2011, and ever since the Saggy Net Syndrome has been an issue. I show how to install a product I found on Amazon which provides not only additional storage but also a cupholder.

You can find a 2 door JK probably pretty cheap. Things to be aware of though. Make sure you get a good inspection, as there are issues with the rocker arms and oil cooler. I'd recommend getting a 2015 or later to help with those issues. Good luck.

Yeah, those nets were a bad idea, I bought plastic door pockets from JK Pockets® front and rear for my 16JKUR.. But I also found a Boat Gimble cup holder on Amazon and mounted it on a windshield mirror slide mount wedge on the dash grab handle.. the jeep can flip on its roof and not spill the beer..Lol

Why wouldn't you just cut that "saggy" net out (and trash it) first and get it out of the way before installing the new aluminum stogage door pocket holder? The way you just shuffed the saggy net into the new aluminum one would kind of junk up and prevent you from sticking other things like gloves, tire gauges, paper work, owners manual, etc into the new aluminum one.

Yeah, I might do that. I wanted to keep the stock nets in there in case I sell it. and it looks stock.

I put the plastic ones on, and I'm not really happy with the way they hit the left side of my calf. Do they do that?

Yeah, they do. Still getting used to it. Actually the plastic one's might be better for that. I saw some plastic round ones for the cup holder that may actually work a little better. But it was the one's where you had to remove the net to install.
