What are your thoughts on applicants coming from feeder schools and other schools of that nature? Do you think colleges view these schools differently? For example, due to the academic rigor of these schools, students have less time to allocate to extension and extracurricular activities. Should I focus up on my grades and cut back on activities, or should I let up a little to dive deeper into the spikes of my application?

Hi preaching p I am in 7th and taking Algebra one and am the highest performing math student in my grade for my small school. Everything seems so complicated I wish I had a blueprint, do x get into this school. Although I'm learning that does not exist. I don't know if I should go to math camp to do a lot of activities, focus on my activities, or even if I should worry about this now. PLEASE HELP.

Yo, great video🎉. I had a quick question. I’m a sophomore and I’m planning on studying for SAT throughout the year but I just found out that it’s going digital. Should I try and grind to take the last non digital test (December) or should I just take an online SAT in like august. If I should take the online SAT how should I prepare. Should I prepare just like you would prep for a normal paper SAT? Thanks

Yea I'm in the same situation and I suggest taking it online in August, because at this point, for me at least, there isn't enough time to prepare to get that 1550+ score in December imo
I'm taking dsat in december and i think dsat is easier. It takes only two hours and you can use calculator in both modules for math. Reading and writing become one english section and also there are gonna be small paragraphs for each question rather than 1 big one for 10 question. Dsat is also adaptive. the con is that there arent that much materials on dsat, but there will probably be a decent amount till august though.

What if i got a c in an elective class? For example, in 8th grade, i got a c in the first semester in hospitality. It has nothing to do with my major or endorsement, and I didn’t even know it is a high school credit class until at the end of the semester. Do you think it is possible to drop the class or retake it for a better? If not, will it hurt my chances of going to ivy leagues or ivy league-like colleges even if all of my other class are a’s?

ivy leagues don't care how you do in 8th grade.
a single C isn't even mildly bad. Most people get a mix of Cs and Bs

I relate so much to the one or two bad grades thing. My grades this term were:
Physics: A+ Biology: A+ History: A+ Health/PE: A Action proj: A Math methods: B+ English lit: B+ Gpa = 13.86/15
Every single grade I received that term was an A or A+ except for a B+ and a B. It really fks it up sometimes. One of the B+s was English, for which I barely even clutched it since my teacher failed half the class. The other B+ was maths, first test I got an A, second test I got a damn B because there was a question worth a solid 20% of the test that included a diagram that was so small you couldn't tell that the lines weren't collinear so absolutely no one got a good grade on that test. What made it so bad is it was worth 25% and the other test was worth 20% of the semester, so I just barely got rounded down, if they were worth the same I woulda got a 14 gpa lol.

I watched your video reacting to amy’s video on getting rejected by stanford. My question is why you titled the video calling yourself a stanford student if you A. Never went there, and B. Didn’t even get in? You literally said in your dorm tour that you’re in RPI, why lie, and critique as if you went to Stanford?
It was clickbait, but he did get accepted into Stanford but went for a competitive LA med course instead, iirc.
