I'm coming to New Zealand in a couple months because of the scenery! So don't shortchange your own country which I've heard is incredibly beautiful-at least from Peter Jackson's perspective!
feel like a lot of times these types of vlog's feel really rushed. Like every 10 minutes is a new day. So i'm really enjoying the slower pace, longer videos.
As a California native, those holes actually look like gopher or ground squirrel holes...snake holes tend to be a lot smaller and the dirt around the opening is more compact, whereas with the others is more loose dirt. That being said, ALL of California is snake country, I live in the Bay and even in the parks here, there's gopher snakes, garter snakes, the occasional king snake and rattlers too. Word of advice, if you hear a rattle, it means you're too close...freeze in motion, identify the location and slowly back away...which speaking of, as a fun fact, the California Ground Squirrel is actually immune from rattlesnake venom! Love seeing you guys in my neck of the woods! No punt intended! < That one was tho :P Happy Birthday, Denz!!!
I grew up in the central valley. Tell you what, those gophers can be more dangerous than the snakes! The number of times I've sprained an ankle in a gopher hole (and one time chipped my tibia on a rock because of a gopher hole) FAR outnumber the times I've ever encountered a rattler. Let alone be threatened by one.
That’s the same thing I said when I kept talking about snake holes. I’m like no no those are gopher holes. And don’t be sticking a flashlight down there, an angry gopher is nothing to sneeze at..
I can tell that Sam worked so hard on this edit back and forth between himself and Denzel and Nadine and Atlanta! Really nice job! Your videos are top notch! I love each and every one in this series!!❤
How can you not love, and enjoy the New Zealand family videos. This family are incredibly awesome. These videos are an adventure for all of us. Thank you so much for sharing.

Again: thank you for sharing this amazing experience with us and allowing us all to accompany your family on this journey.
So sorry to hear of your daughter. May her time here be filled with love and more love💕tell her someone (a nurse) in Oregon, thinks of and prays for her.💕
What you thought were "snake" holes are actually ground squirrel holes. Here in Oregon we call them "Digger Squirrels". If a snake comes out it's only because he decided to be a squatter. No squirrel, then he has a new home!
I think I'll pass on the rabbit and groundhog theory. The hole would most likely be larger. Of the rabbits that do dig their own burrows, they are usually pretty good size with a few exceptions (Not totally out of the picture and still a contender) but a diglet could be the answer!!😂😂😂
Atlanta is a Rock Star! You guys bring a tear to my eyes. I was born in San José, Ca. (Capital of Silicon Valley). 50 minutes from San Francisco, 1 1/2 hr. from Yosemite, 45 minutes from Santa Cruz. Denzel's surprise party was so sweet! He looked a little shy and embarrassed when you sprung it on him, but he warmed up to it pretty quickly. I think the tipped-over tree that Atlanta and Denzel were climbing on was a California laurel (Umbellularia californica). They often grow near water. The leaves are aromatic, and are sometimes used as a substitute for bay leaves. You do such a good job of showing the beauty of the places you visit, and also showing how much you love it. LOL! The holes you saw are Ground Squirrels. They won't hurt you if you don't try to catch them. Snakes don't make holes, but they will take over another animals hole.
So during rain season, the further north you go everything that was golden is a bright green. It changes in about 2 weeks of medium rain and 1 week of heavy rain and takes a month or two during fall to turn gold/brown again.
I am so glad things worked out all the work you put in. I pray will continue to pay you all back , God bless love your family, and now you all are adopted to the USA for life ❤

Would you suggest going in the fall? My mom has been pressuring me to take her. She's never been. We're four hours away. I've seen it in the summer so would like to maybe see a different season. Not sure winter is a good idea.
Glad y'all are here! have all the fun and be safe! ❤❤
Omg yessssss ur my hero’s cause I’ve been struggling mentally and now physically cause my mum passed away a few months ago and ever since I’ve been but watching u guys and it makes think how lil g I really was to have a mother like her and even tho I’m only 17 ik she’ll still be there in presence and watching u guys keeps my mind at rest
RIP. Hope you're doing alright. Her memory will always be with you.
@@ct6852 thx. It’s strange not having biological parents now but I’m doing ok I’m just training hard to be an athlete and footballer and it’s helping thinking that everything I’m doing she’ll be proud of me because I now compete against other clubs and Yh without her I wouldn’t be who I am today and life without her will be tough but with supportive people like ur self life is much easier
@@Toby_Booth Keep on keeping on. I think that's a good move to keep focusing on goals while you get over that initial grief hurdle. You can do it!
I am so glad y'all are still doing this God bless u and ur family from the heart of Texas

I have family from up and down the California coast but they all moved and I haven’t been back in ages, so I’m definitely living vicariously through your trip. Enjoy yourselves.

For those of you following along, the Yosemite RV Resort is actually just outside Coarsegold, CA, approximately 25 miles (40km) from the south entrance to Yosemite National Park on CA-41. (I lived in Fresno 45 years, often went to Yosemite since I was only an hour's drive away!)
Oh cool. Was wondering how far away they were. Looked like it was still in the foothills.
Unexpected time delays are to be expected. You're right on schedule.

Happy birthday, young man from the Collins family. We love ya, bud.
