Thanks for the view. Couple of questions... Would you use this bike as a commuter? What cable did you buy and would you mind sharing your tune? How many miles have you put on the bike and how serviceable is it were something to go wrong?
I saw that you replaced the 860c display with the what looks like either the 500C or 750C display. I hate the 860c on my X1 and have wanted to replace it but hate the DPC240 just as much because you can't see it in the sun. I contacted Luna Support about putting the 750C display on the bike and was told it would have "too many issues.". If the only issue is the wattage not showing correctly, that is fine by me. So I ordered a 500c from eBay and it arrived today. However, the cable connector that went into the 860c was triangular shaped and the 500c has a round connector plug. So my questions are: 1) What model display did you buy? 2) Did your Z1 have a round connector plug or triangular plug? Thanks for your time!
Thanks for the info! Once you tune the motor, how is the torque sensor response? Does it modulate based on how hard your pedaling? Does it come on and off smoothly in your opinion? Thanks!
All depends on how you tune it. From the factory the torque sensor felt more like an on/off switch. Now it is very smooth, and very linear. If you pedal without putting in much effort the assist is minimal. Pedal hard and it ramps up more like a human would. It's more in line with how the big name brands (specialized, trek, etc) tune their motors...with one key difference. If you turn up the assist to a high setting or use the throttle, it's a lot more powerful than those name brands.
Man youtube compression ruins the footage of these ride videos. Makes me sad that we can record in 4k and it's uploaded in "4k" but they ruin it with compression.
Hello, I'm about to purchase the luna X-1 enduro, I heard it has the same torque on/off sensitivity than the one you mention in your video, do you know if this bike (x1 with bafang m600) can be tuned the same as your z1?? if so, which program do I need to do it, or how can I do it, just with the cable?? I hope you can help me before I spend some money. thank you

Great vid. I own the Frey AM1000. It's a beast! So much fun to ride. The only thing I would change is the gear inside. It's a really loud motor.
How many miles of uphill (or vertical feet) are you getting on a battery?
Thank you.
Are you able to use throttle without pedaling?

That's weird. I bought this one. Everything is round on mine. www.ebay.com/itm/393650569591
Awesome riding. Where in the San Diego area is this?
Ramona
Hey nice video just curious what size frame did you get and how tall are you?
Are you still have your Luna Z1, any long ti.w issue?
What kind of range do you get on a full charge? What's the top speed using only the throttle?

@@fartbus super helpful info; thanks!
Oh ps, how heavy is the z1?
Will the z1 smoke a $14k specialized emtb?
From your experience with the z1, would you recommend buying the Z1 over the X2 whit the ludicrous controller?
Do you think the x2 with Ludi is a better choice

Where in Ramona is this? Is this black mountain?

THATS A PRETTY TOUGH TRAIL AND I KNOW YOU WOULD BE CRYING MOMMY IF YOUR CAUGHT IN THE DARK BUT NICE DEMO ON THE BIKE .
Bruh, this looks like PQ Preserve.
It isn't...but yeah it looks like it. I'm in Ramona.
Must’ve been nearly 100 out there in August, not sure if I want to expose my X2 (or myself 😂) to that kind of temperatures. Nice riding on that trail!
