Thanks for watching this video! I've been working on more ideas for this channel. I'd like to cover Motorcycles and maybe other types of travel (Bike Packing). So stay tuned and any ideas welcome, within reason!

The guys gave us the incentive to make our own trips, as we say its not the destination that counts its the ride there, we will be looking forward to following the trip.

It were a very good documentations, Long Way Round and Long Way Down.
Because of watching them, I bought a BMW GS and enjoyed it 10 years.
But all the others were not necessary!

LWU was hard to watch Charlie , it seemed to be wrong bikes , the wrong company , the wrong countries , and the wrong means of propulsion.
You & Ewan cruising around Italy on retro bikes eating pasta wouldn’t have been hard-core but it would have been great to watch.

Completely agree, let's hope it gets back to its original roots. I found LWU hard to finish!

@@BritBikeAdventures Yep, they were the wrong bikes. It would have been better with the DSR/X or the Experia. They just weren't available yet.

I actually think there’s no “wrong” bike. Look at C90 Adventures and see what Ed March does. If you’re on two wheels, it doesn’t matter.

Quirks of fate sometimes make an enormous difference. KTM said no to sponsorship, BMW said yes. KTM is in a spot of financial difficulty now & the BMW GS remains the largest selling bike in its class, (what CLASS)!

I really enjoy watching these tours, the last one, long way up wasnt as good because it seemed to be more about everything peripheral to the actual adventure but not alot about what made the others fun to watch, always wondered why they havent done asia, I've riden through indonesia , island hopping, most of vietnam and bits of thailand, and thought it would make a great destination for their type of adventure.....

I don't think the geopolitical climate would allow it but I'd love to see "Long Way Back" where they ride the original route from Long Way Round in reverse. I'd love the idea of going back to the same locations a couple of decades later to see what's changed, for better or worse, and what's stayed the same, for better or worse. I don't think they'll venture out quite that much again though.

LWU was simply a propaganda/advertisement series for Harley and Rivian. I own a Zero DSR and I can barely make a round-trip commute to work with it. There is Zero chance I’d use that bike for a trip across my own State let alone through multiple 3rd world countries.
Hopefully a new addition to the series will go back to its roots. Two capable bikes, two capable riding buddies traveling the world. The first two were cold and exploded an untapped industry.

Good to see them back. Loved all their adventure series, except last one on the electric bikes. Didn’t even bother to watch. Real bikers have no interest in that rubbish and that’s the audience these guys aim for. Keep it real boys and stick with proper motorbikes and you will always have us bikers wanting to watch.

How do you define a ‘real’ motorcyclist? I, for example, have been riding a motorbike since 1980. Even in good weather.
I now also have an e-motorbike next to the other old bikes in the stable. And you can go touring on it too.

    • @Nick-mr6ke
      @Nick-mr6ke Месяц назад +1

@ you are one of few my friend. All of the motorcyclists I know have no interest in them. I was on the Isle of Man for the first TT ZERO, and I witnessed all the old timers turning their backs on the track. Not many stayed to watch the race. I think it’s not just love of the motorcycle but the combustion engine. The feel, the sound, the smell. It is all part of it. Each to their own but I have no interest in e bikes, I feel they lack character and soul. I swear my combustion engines bikes have souls and personalities, atleast I speak to them as if they do. 😂😂
