- ☀️ Pandesal Recipe: jeanelleats.com/pandesal-recipe/
Pandesal is a fluffy bread from the Philippines, which is the perfect balance between sweet and savory! I also grew up eating a lot of pandesal.
My favorite way to eat pandesal is by dipping it in chocolate milk, it's really tough for me to top that combo 😅

Thankfully I have a cousin that used to love baking, so I had all the tools i needed to bake a lot of pandesal! Search "jeanelleats pandesal" online if you want the recipe :)
Thanks!
I’m actually going to be using your ensaymada recipe this weekend to bring into school! I’m really excited and I’ll make sure to tell you how people like it! :D
Edit: the ensaymada turned out great and I’m sure everyone will love it!
i want to make ur pandesal recipe to surprise my lola since I’m half filo 😊 by ground cream crackers is it gamesa cookies, sky flakes, or something else?
She can freeze them. Heat frozen. Comes out freshly baked, too ❤
She over there doing the same happy dance my daughter does when she loves food 😂 I love it haha
Listen
If you can make an elderly person do that little dance after tasting their childhood snack you made, you win in life.
🥹
Yes 100% yes, all the yes in the world
I'm thinking the same thing!
Yes
❤❤❤
God she looks so young
Ikr
awww i think so too! I'll tell her you said so!
Ikr

Her dance is so cute❤
Tv girl reference? (The pfp)
your effort seems to be worth it. to see her so happy is the best gift.
Love your grandma!!! She’s so sweet 🥹 and does a happy food dance like I do hehehe 🤭
This made me tear up. I miss my grandma. I grew up to be a great cook just like her, and she'll never know.
Yes she will, she already does and probably already did! 👼🏼🫶🏻🤍💫
Your grandma is beautiful 😍 ❤
shes so cute😭😭😭
This bread is legit delicious! Con un cafecito! Perfect!
She seems so happy with her little dance in the end after tasting your bread!!! So sweet!! ☺️❤️
This is so wholesome 😊
OOOOH my god, I was not prepared for how utterly adorable your grandmother was. Oh goodness, the little happy dance!!!
You make me want to make Thai sweets for my own grandmother. 🥰
She's a very proud grandma! ❤❤
Aww, granny did the happy foodie dance 😂❤❤
Can you freeze the dough so that she can bake up a few at a time?
I think that’s a good idea! Or she could even freeze the bread after it is cooked!
idk if the yeast would survive if its the dough that's frozen. But tbh idek if that matters, the yeast staying alive. Lindsay up here could be right, baked pandesal being frozen could be better
@@catcher881 its possible, its already done in most bakeries.
You can final proof the bread in the chiller to slow the yeast, and it also made them even tastier.
Or you can final proof them, and then freeze them (dont forget to wrap them in plastic wrap).
When you wanna use it, proof it in room temp before baking
I think freezing it after baking is easier. That way, grandma only has to reheat it before eating. Less mess to clean up too.
It’s not as good as freshly made pandesal, but at least Jeanelle can leave her a year’s supply and she’ll have a little taste of her grandchild’s cooking anytime! Frozen bread lasts a long while in the freezer, you’ll be surprised (as long as its properly cooled beforehand).
It’s that happy dance that made me smile!!!!❤❤❤😊
Your grandma reminds me of my Mom. She absolutely loved pandesal, it's something she could eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner - with a generous helping of butter. I miss her. ❤❤❤
What a happy grandmother. Happiness and health to you both for many many many years!
Your pandesal and ensaymada recipes makes everyone hungry ❤️
It’s so sweet that you live so far apart, but she can watch your cooking videos.
For all the strife that technology causes, sometimes we need to remember the good things it can do. Like bringing people together across the globe.
Love to you and your Grandmother ❤
Gonna have to make a giant batch and freeze it, ready to bake for her. Then she can have some fresh till you come back. 😊❤
I was going to ask whether it freezes well, and if so, she could do that for during the year
i dont know if freezing it would still be considered fresh, or are you talking about the batter? but either way i agree with what you’re saying
@gnoot50
Freeze the proofed unbaked dough balls. It will retard the yeast and keep the dough at the state it was frozen. Then the little balls bake up at any time, the dough will then be fresh baked and kept " fresh" or preserved by the freezer. Hope this helps. 🙂
@@belialbathory2299 oh thanks. maybe ill try this when i finally get better at baking/cooking
@gnoot50
Cupcakes and cookies are a great way to start and cookie dough freezes well too. 🙂
aww i love that! So sweet that you make it for your Grandma. Also I’m def gonna be using that recipe in the near future that look good ❤

I need the butter on air fryer tips explained!
I love these videos thank you ❤
My dad would buy these as kids from a Phillipino bakery and I was addicted😍. I NEED that recipe.
This is so lovely…but it also makes me wish I had grandparents. I haven’t had any since I was a small child. Two died when I was a baby. One I hardly remember, but she died when k was small. The last one I didn’t know about, I met him as a baby, and once when I was in middle school. We didn’t speak the same language, and he was dying. I had such a lack of love and support growing up I would’ve done unspeakable things just for a little of this love.
She is adorable 🤗🤗
Go see your grandma as often as you possibly can. My grandma and grandpa died last week. 2 days apart, after 70 years together.
They lived so long together. Rest in peace. 🙏❤️
Makes me miss cooking for my grandma. Hope you and your grandma get to share bread together for many more years 💕
I miss my grandmas. They live so far.
I love her happy dance but I miss my Granny 😢❤
I hope it brought back happy memories from her childhood.
Looks good.
The little head bop dance is the cutest thing I ever seen. Please cherish our grand parents.

The cutest pandesal theft ❤
baking in other ppls kitchens being hard is so true i remember when i went to my cousins house in barbados and they didn’t have a microwave so i had to use their air fryer to melt the butter and warm up the milk 😭
It's common for nannas to give us heaps of delicious food, but getting to make something that your nanna enjoys is just the best feeling ever!
So sweet 😊
You can make a huge batch of her favorites, vacuum seal package them and send them overnight or express depending on price. 🏆.
A surprise box of your food would make her so happy. 🥰!!
To you and your grandma.

Oh my gulay!!! I can smell it all the way here in Australia 🇦🇺 🤤
You’re a beautiful granddaughter I’m sure she appreciates you and loves you very much ❤
Watching your videos brings back so many special moments I had with my Lula (*our nickname from Lola!!😂❤)
She was my whole life and I miss her everyday. She shared so many stories of her own youth (*born in 1927) because of her I have shared some of these same moments with my own children and them learning their culture and where their family is from.
I cannot wait until the day comes when I can bring them home to the Philippines ❤
Ooh, I wonder if that is similar to a Guyanese tennis roll. It definitely looks similar!
