after your first vid about resin filling, i tried the resin fill and sand, prime. For those who are thinking about trying this i say go for it. It does save a lot of sanding time. Thank you scale builders.
I just use a resin printer to print my bodies. I'm fortunate enough to have gotten in on the resin printing several years ago. And have a strong grasp of what will last and what will break.
Cannot believe how far scale trucks have come in the last few years 🤯 its incredible.. Every step of the build looks like a shelf queen and I would be happy to have it on display 👍👍

We all know being shut in for 2 years does take a toll on your physical being and mind set and we know you are a master builder 110% it will come together you will load up the jeep and head to Alabama I hope you have a great uneventful trip and we love you dude!
With the total lack of time you have left your trucks are looking very sharp and they are the most capable looking trucks that you have made for a comp. The fact that you had the right size box to put all that scale goodness in was know surpris because we at the SBG just love a good box. Good luck at the comp and I hope that you 2 will film each other's runs so we get to injoy seeing them run at their frist comp.
Finished to your satisfaction…. No. But, it will still be a 1000 times better than I could dream of building. And after the first roll over, if you’re anything like most of us and start driving it like you stole it, no one will ever see the blemishes that only you could have pointed out. Hi Matt! Been love watching your videos and live streams! I’m currently building a trail truck based on my old first gen Dodge Dakota I used to own. I am building it on a TRX4 Sport builders Kit. Was wondering if you’d change any of the electronics you used in your budget build off series?
On your class 2-3 leave the body as is. Just paint it flat clear. You should get an old short school bus so you can have someone drive while you work on the trucks.

You could definitely finish if you stop worrying about them looking so good lol looks don't matter at a comp🤣 scale points, rigs crawling ability and driving skill are most important. Those scale fenders might look good on the c3/2 but I think they are going to cause hang ups on the rocks but I hope I'm wrong. Great builds and series😎
@@scalebuildersguild I know and your builds are really nice. One suggestion you might want a roof rack with a winch point or at least a winch point near the top of the cab on the roll bars.

You now have both bodies with the top coats done it kermit green (🐸🤣). Have you lost much of the definition to the body lines and details? I’m close to trying a full 3d printed body but the ones I’ve seen before look like the paint is too thick and detail is lacking.
I think what most people end up doing, is get really tired of sanding properly, hit it with too much filler primer, and ruin the body. To me, these are close to a injection molded finish with a slightly heavy coat of paint. Preparation is the most important step with a printed body.
@@scalebuildersguild well as you are “a top ranking amateur at best” (not my words🤣) I suppose it’s the best answer I’m gonna get 🤣. I’m happy to put the work in and as always I’ll look to the SBG for inspiration. Great work, looking forward to seeing both the trucks fully built 👍🏻

You now have both bodies with the top coats done it kermit green (🐸🤣). Have you lost much of the definition to the body lines and details? I’m close to trying a full 3d printed body but the ones I’ve seen before look like the paint is too thick and detail is lacking.
Great vid by the way 👍🏻 🙏🏻
I think what most people end up doing, is get really tired of sanding properly, hit it with too much filler primer, and ruin the body.
Thanks! Sometimes there are no shortcuts and you just have to put in the work. Thanks for watching!
Why dont you have an accent? Is it regional?
What kind of accent should I have? A Canadian accent? Not enough “eh’s” for you 😉? I live in Toronto, so we don’t have much of an accent… Maybe you’re the one with the accent? 😂 Thanks for watching, eh!
