I really like how you enjoy the whole process or maintain the same excitement throughout but for me whenever I want to paint fur or something so very detailed on a big size, I am not able to go slow and steady ...I mean I hurry up and sometimes mess it up just because I am making something from the past 12-18 days.... Any tips on this Jess.. That would really help or any video in which you can take up this topic...Hats off to you🙌
This is absolutely stunning. I’m a graphite artist, I do photorealism. I really want to learn to paint but worried I’m not gonna make the grade. I think it probably the colour mixing etc, but ultimately I don’t really know. I guess I’m just scared to take that step Jess. Brilliant video

This is a great painting. I always enjoy the process. It is the most rewarding experience in a painting. Patience is so much needed when you paint in oils. At times I rush, but I have learned to slow down and be true to the subject I’m painting. I love to paint in layers but at the moment I’m practicing Alla Prima, then continue with layers. This has been an amazing painting you have done. Great job and gorgeous outcome. Congratulations and best wishes in your art career. You are awesome! Blessings and take care.
I love the idea of using a long stick so that you can rest your hand and keep it steady. Wow! What is on the top of it? A cloth that doesn't smudge the paint?

My advice is just make yourself do it.Discipline beats motivation but that may just work for me .sending love your way.

And if your under-drawing is on canvas, you can coat it with workable fixative to preserve it (otherwise, the wash will wash it off).
