Realistic oil painting process for painting pet portraits! My techniques and tips for how to paint fur along with the painting from sketch to finish.

WOW I have just started painting and I chose oils my first painting is a scene with a GINGER headed friend looking at the scenery from behind and I just cannot get the ginger right then I saw this painting and wow it is just what I needed to see but we didn't see you mix the colours , but oh my your painting is soooo realistic just wonderful

I really like how you enjoy the whole process or maintain the same excitement throughout but for me whenever I want to paint fur or something so very detailed on a big size, I am not able to go slow and steady ...I mean I hurry up and sometimes mess it up just because I am making something from the past 12-18 days.... Any tips on this Jess.. That would really help or any video in which you can take up this topic...Hats off to you🙌
My advice is just make yourself do it.Discipline beats motivation but that may just work for me .sending love your way.
I struggle the same.And I don't know how to be more patient.I wonder if there is a way to learn to be patient🤦

This is absolutely stunning. I’m a graphite artist, I do photorealism. I really want to learn to paint but worried I’m not gonna make the grade. I think it probably the colour mixing etc, but ultimately I don’t really know. I guess I’m just scared to take that step Jess. Brilliant video
