fun fact! hoyoverse, the game company behind star rail, actually made a donation to a charity that provides hearing aids to children, since robin in game is also a philanthropist who often works with kids. i believe parts of the donation were from the sales of the robin earbuds (tho i may be mistaken on that front) overall tho it’s just really awesome to see a collab that’s actually good quality-all while introducing me to a great brand no less! really appreciate the review 👍
another fun fact I heard is that they re-did robins album in a certain (key? pitch? im not sure idk music too well..) that allowed some people with listening disabilities to hear her songs too!
It seems like LDAC is becoming quite the standard in earbuds nowadays, more and more companies are using it in all price ranges more often. Which is great to see. Also, as a fan of the game, they did really well with these.
When testing the mic outside, i think it'd be better if you also included a mic test of your phone so people can gauge how good the mic is compared to just the phone mic itself.
I personally own some of the earbuds that he's reviewed before. And the microphones on them consistently sounded better each time I've compared it with his reviews. I adore his channel and the content he releases, but something is very wrong with the setup he's using to test the microphones.
So i recently just got my pair of these and i've noticed 2 things and im wondering if its just me or its just how these work. 1 thing is that if im only using one side of the earphones and the other is still in the case it seems that the other one wont stay charged and they both still end up draining together (i tend to do this when im on discord i use one side and the other i leave in the case) 2 the other thing is that the moment i open the case they turn on and instantly pair which also stops them from charging its kinda weird that they do that because i figured the light could be used to indicate how charged they are so now im not even sure how to tell when they're charged.
Thank you for the review! I was anxiously waiting for someone to post a review of these (you're one of my favorite reviewers by the way). I saw a post on Reddit a few months ago regarding this model, and I'm a big fan of planar tweeter drivers in earbuds in particular. I'm due to receive mine on December 30th! They sound like a winner. I like earbuds excellent noise cancelling because I work out in a noisy gym but like you, musical quality still comes first!😉
Awesome! I was looking for a review for this product. Thank you If you had to compare the sound signature or sound quality to another tws which one would it be?
If the color and the size of the case doesn't matter for you, this is one of the best sounding TWS that I have And i listened to oneplus buds pro3, galaxy buds 3pro,moondrop ultrasonic. The fit are very secure. The minds are amazing, Sound Stage is very wide for this price
Good review, but I'm very satisfied with the Block, cause is clearly sound, spatial sound & sound stage enough, even basses too, means no sub bass in this TWS, & I'd liked an Semi in Ear Buds like this, & Soundcore K-20i, Redmi 6 Active, the three this that I'm used for now for the difference experience for me
JBL isn't an audiophile brand so the sound quality is likely better on the robins and the different tuning profiles allows you to have it sound how you like
@The_Taco_Thief oh wow, I'm don't know anything about audiophile but I just want a quality product that can produce quality sound and i really curious about IEM because many people talk about it recently.
As a HSR player, I love that case design. I have her as E2S1, currently one of the strongest characters in the game. The actual buds.. I'd rather they were just a clean white/cream or maybe pearl. The audio sounds promising too.
One day, if possible, I would like to see you review the FIIO BTR17, It is a bluetooth dac player that is really good and it is wireless charging for wired IEMs.
Do they sound better than the Galaxy buds 2 pro or the Sony link buds S? If the answer is yes, I'll buy them, I'd really appreciate it if you answer, thanks
I more want these for my collection cause i love the color(idk anything about the game) but how do they compare to the more mainstream wireless like airpods or galaxy for sound quality
I'm not sure about these specifically, but Moondrop is great for having great sound quality.... at its lower price point. Nothing can touch the Space Travel at $25, but much more expensive buds can match that
Very unique design and Moondrop has definitely been putting a special mark on their earbuds. Shame they have yet to add volume controls thru the app. Wish they were black and gold but overall worth checking out.
@ wouldnt it be better to ask moondrop not a third party seller o_O but if its not limited thats cool. Moondrops official tweets make it seem limited, specially if you want everything with it
I was eyeing this up on their website since October and I thought it's gonna be 149.99 it being 99 leads it back to my budget and the sole reason I want this besides the others is it's not a stem style buds.
I wonder if any manufacturer will manufacture the drop thx panda in the iem form factor without dsp and use thx amps. The drop thx panda are bluetooth over the ear headphones that have a thx amp and don't use dsp. Most bluetooth devices use dsp which alters the audio and it's not true to what the artist intended when dsp. Audio will always be analog since they require a dac chip to convert to digital 1's and 0's to an analog signal to be played back on speakers and headphones. Unfortunately, dsp manipulates much like the audio like mqa and mqa is not true lossless audio and dsp colors the audio using filters, room correction software and an equalizer. When it comes to audio, I'm mainly not interested in not using dsp, no room correction software and no equalizer since I want a completely ruler flat frequency response since there are no peaks and dips since all the frequencys are all at the same levels with no alterations with zero compression and a well balanced dynamic range to hear all the details without being too quiet or too loud. It's meant for being the most accurate not for pure enjoyment, that's why studio monitors exist.
I have a set of Moondrop sparks that sound better than anything else I have. When I got them over a year ago and first listen to them, I wasn't really all that impressed. But I guess an update changed them because their sound quality now compared to my Momentum 3 TWS and a few other expensive higher end ones is better...more detailed and refined.
@@izmedyan Very true JRPG was used to differentiate between Western RPGs. However, when he says in this video "Japanese RPG" that does sound a bit dubious despite technically meaning the same thing. For example, "JRPG" sounds normal when used like "This game is a Chinese JRPG", but it would sound weird if someone said "This game is a Chinese Japanese RPG". In the first sentence, a person would just go "Oh okay". In the second sentence, a person might ask "Wait, is it a Chinese-Japanese collab?" simply because it's weird to say "Japanese RPG" if you know it's a Chinese JRPG. My guess if the uploader said that, he probably didn't know it was Chinese.

Imagine releasing a set of earbuds in 2024/5 without volume control. What were they thinking. I am getting tired of these Chinese manufacturers who alway seem to fall short.of the mark somewhere in nearly every product they release.
Can this earbuds worth for ≈120$? I like design and i really trust moondrop sound quality, but i can't choice. My budget is ≈150$ so i can't choice between them or oneplus buds 3 pro (≈90$)
Do you need it to be wireless if no then there are other better options like supermix or even a used kato. Personally I don't have the oneolus bud but I have/try all moondrop tws except the alice and I believe the robin is the best so far. When compared to wired iem I would say the details pretty close to the kato but the head stage is not there yet. Also in terms of tune I feel like the robin a bit punchier than the other moondrop. In term of function anc is a marginal improvement from the moca, mic and transparent mode stay the same. The robin however have more juice (9h) compared to moca(6h). Also it is a collectible item so if you don't like it you can sell it easier after that.

Its because Sony stopped developing it and the decoder is cheaper then aptx and lhdc. Opus/LC3 is free to implement.
