wtf aries kitchen is amazing! He gives us a new recipe every time! Have you tried any of them? I love gluten, so sometimes i tweak them a bit to get a better consistency, but his videos always give me a really good starting point. And he's actually gotten way way way better at cooking since the first Aries Kitchen videos. He's improving a ton, and making some really top quality food. And it's just fun to watch them have fun and be themselves

other people have probably explained it too but since I work at a vet clinic I'd thought I would explain the test Kermit gets. It's called an ACTH stim test and basically the test requires two blood samples. The first blood sample is taken, then an injection of synthetic ACTH is given, and the second blood sample is taken 2 hours following the injection. When the levels of cortisol in the two samples are compared, they may show a normal response, an exaggerated response, or very little response. ACTH is a natural hormone produced by a gland in the brain and the purpose of ACTH is to tell the adrenal glands when and how much cortisol to produce. At my clinic anyway, between samples we cuddle the dogs or take them on walks and try to keep them as comfortable as possible :) Hope this helps!

As someone who too works at a vet hospital I just wanted to say you explained this beautifully! The only thing I could think to mention is Addison’s disease is the direct opposite of Cushing’s disease and it’s important to check their levels to make sure the medicine they’re on is working because the treatment for Cushing’s can cause Addison’s and it’s very dangerous
I’m a veterinary nurse too and you hit the nail on the head - perfect explanation 😊 I love when cushings dogs come in. We have a few regulars that just sit on beds in the treatment room with no leads because they know the drill hehe And they need a huuuuuuuuge bowl of water too 😉😊

I am a person who has also dealt with human Cushing’s disease. I thought after my tumor removal the constant blood tests would be over but i still have them all the time. I feel your pain, kermit. I hope your meds are right and your levels are normal to minimize those nasty Cushing’s symptoms ❤️
